OH!!! Fun fact... And this is completely true. At one point I was going to have a 5th pimp that was a protrectron named Pimptron... But I decided it was too much trouble. Anybody who wants to make a Pimptron addon for this mod has my official blessing.

I'm actually surprised at how compelling this mod turned out. I've been following the progress of this little beauty since August, and I really have to congratulate you.  Personally, I never liked prostitution mods in either Skyrim or Fallout.  Combat surrenders were more my speed since it was an alternative to game overs while still being punishing. While playing FO4, I cannot play anything besides Survival with additional mods that make it a harsher wasteland. Back in August, I was in the process of overhauling my SFW load order into something other LL users would appreciate... that was until I saw Hardship. It just seemed so different, yet I saw that it had so much potential. My upcoming play-through was actually postponed until it's eventual release. This in tandem with Violate/ CSA/ raider pet/ and less loot, it made actual role play finally enjoyable in this game.  

 

Anyways, I just really appreciate your work. I'll keep an eye open for updates along with future projects

Thanks. That means a lot. This is a year of my life, you're playing here (and a year before that working on another mod that eventually had to get thrown away) It honestly isn't healthy

 

The good news is I do somewhat know what I am doing now and my next LL mod shouldn't take that long. It's going to be a player aggressor mod focusing on abduction and simple slavery.  Hopefully it won't get as out of hand as this one.

Hey! I really like your mod, it might just be the best Fallout mod on LL,  just what was needed for the game. Anyway i was wondering if you plan on making it configurable with MCM? I'm running it alongside Horizon and i think it works really well roleplay rise, but the caps you get from Hardship after prostitution is a little too much - some configurable values for how much each part is worth would be awesome.

I have the same question about MCM, I was looking on it and may try to make a MCM for your mod, but i think i will need some more info from you to be able to. PM me if like that idea.
PS: I have never made any MCM, but after a quick look at others MCM's it doesn't seem something i  couldn't cope with

First, Thanks for the great compliment.

 

Second... Hmmmm... I'll think about it. I'll be honest economy was always the part I most winged about this (and the mod I worked on before it but had to throw away), but I like where it's at. The whole point to me was to be able to actually survive without combat. Also consider that the payouts DO NOT scale with your level, or with any perks that increase money etc... They will never get any higher as you play.  If you want a harder experience you can play as an ugly character who is only willing to give blowjobs.  

 

If I do anything any time soon I'd probably simply release a seperate patch with lower payouts rather than make MCM a requirement, or adding it to the existing menu. I will think about doing something at some point though.

Don't bother doing that right now. If I was to implement a pay slider I'd have to redo all the sex fragments (7 or 8 of them) to be a bit smarter and use a centralized function for the payout amounts, most likely tied to a global variable. While in theory I wouldn't mind somebody putting some effort into adding an MCM. I DO have a HUGE problem with somebody changing the existing scripts. (I got a huge amount of anxiety when Flashy did it for me and he's a much bettter coder than I am) So for now don't bother. I probably will have MCM as a requirement for my next mod, and when I learn it myself (I've made a Skyrim MCM before so I doubt it's that different). I'll probably circle back and add an optional plugin for Hardship that includes one. So patience.

 

NOTE: Obviously do what you want for your personal use. I just meant I would not be remotely cool with something that changes my scripts being released.  If you make something for yourself that works well and show it to me I might consider using it.

TLDR: Don't Repost this mod. Don't release altered versions of this mod. Ask permissions for anything else. Plugin addons that don't interfere with my code or dioalogue are blanket allowed. For example additional pimps.

 

So come on people let's see that Pimptron DLC! Extra points if you figure out how to make him purple and add a hat.

I use mods that repress my personal in game economy and inflates prices for everything.. Usually, sex gets me 30 caps or drugs. Have not seen the big paydays enough to offset the costs of all, in my game.

My escaped slave (DLYH) playthrough has been pretty fun. He had a brutal time of it with raiders but eventually managed to have the Railroad take the collar off (by pretending to join... heh) and managed to make it to Bunker Hill before starving to death. Now he's trying his hand at being a gigolo. 

 

 

I'm trying Just Business for the first time so I imagine he'll get up to some bad stuff when he realizes there just aren't that many women willing to pay, even for a pretty boy.

 

So far XDI seems to be working okay for me this time.

 

Unrelated note: I really need to find the sound effect in Savage Cabbage's animations that sounds kinda like a gurgling baby and remove it. It's driving me nuts.

I have been playing this for about 8 hours now. This is an awesome mod! I do have one little issue.... it seems like everyone just wants to fuck my girl in the ass. Not one single BJ or vagina sex request yet. I assume that's not quite right?

8 hrs is a long time for that to happen... IIRC There are the same number of probability for all the sex types.

 

I am gonna assume this is just the old vanilla Random dialogue issue, where sometimes the Random dialogue doesn't feel so Random. It's honestly just bad luck on the Dice rolls. If you save, exit the game and reload it'll probably clear up but that might just be superstition on my end. I'm no probability expert.  You can also just make it a limit if it annoys you... I mean it's immersive... sometimes your ass just gets sore!

 

Oh and if you want to manually select a particular sex type you can do that by setting it as a limit, then immediately changing your mind, though that's a bit of a cheat and not immersive.

 

Sometimes you can flip heads 50x in a row, but the odds are still the same every time.

I have used Less Loot and ammo for almost 9 months now. There are so many and I have tried them all. Scavenged Wastes is also a good one, but note sometimes Raiders are sometimes that poor to go nekked. Best bet, save at Diamond City, quit, download a mod, load the save and check out Myrna' prices...Go to the next. For stuff like this, I have never had an issue with saves mucking up with the changing of mod, unless your game is mucked up already (you know who you are!)?

Is there a mod that makes hotel prices remotely realistic? That was always the first thing I changed in Skyrim. It's absurd that some shitty roadkill food costs like 25 caps but a hotel room is 10.

Just added this to the known issues in the OP:  If you are using an alternate start mod like Start me up, you may not start the game with the [SETTINGS] BW MENU item. If this happens Save and then load that save. The item will appear.

Problem I have found that may have already been reported. When running this and RSE Shenanigans together, a couple having sex nearby that was initiated by Shenanigans ends my interaction with my john when the Shenanigans couples sex ends. My john and I continue to have sex until duration timer ends but the dialogue that is suppose to come after sex displays during sex. Happens like clockwork every time a nearby Shenanigans couples sex ends before mine and the john. I know it is Shenanigans causing it because turning that mod off stopped it.

Not a bug with Hardship, but the curse of Shenanigans ( it works that well )..I use Magna Cum Gaudio, which basically does what Shenanigans, Vanilla Fudge, Prostitution, Sexual Harrassment does, plus gives you serious wear and tear and a sex body count, even for Hardship sex.. No conflicts as long as you change some of MCG settings to avoid Hardship options. MCG timer does not seen to affect Hardship timer.
