I had a similar issue with Kessler. The keyword reset did nothing, but at least she did go about her vanilla duties. Did have one get stuck like you did, but it was a mod added (custom race) NPC. So I figured that was the issue.

 

Oh, the issue I "had" with random women showing up, not able to complete the dialogue...etc... was because XEdit corrupted the mod. Overwrote it & made a patch for Marge, all back to normal.
I really need to pay more attention to the log! LOL

Thanks for your excellent mod, being a "nob" I didn't find a way to make a "gang-bang" or "trio", is that normal or should I use AAF (it leaves me a time limit)...
concerning the animations, despite the various packs + those recommended by the mod during the scenes I have the impression that he always plays me the same ones...
Sorry if the subject has already been mentioned, I go through a translator and it's not always easy...

 I took down this post about Predator mode because I couldn't reproduce the problem after posting it. It definitely needs some looking at. The script I use to release Captives is the same one to get rid of Bad boyfriends and to get a rapist to pay you off and leave you alone after you have a Pimp. So those may have similar issues :( 

 

I'm relieved you figured out that bizarre issue with the women.

It's normal. I left that out because the stuff I am already keeping track of is complicated enough. It also just seems like so much more of a "porno movie" kinda thing than a typical occurrence. If I had included group sex it would have been a special rare event. 

 

This is by no means a promise but I will keep it in mind if I do ever decide to expand the content of this mod.

Update:

 

Okay, getting to work... So far I recompiled some corrupted fragments, Took the armor slots out of the menu item so now you can wear a ring (because apparently you can have a clothing item with no biped slots!!!) ? Note: This will change the icon of the [SETTINGS] BW MENU in your favorites from the hand to the generic shield. This probably bothers me more than you all since I've been playing this for a year :D 

 

I'm going to be adding an update button to the utility menu that will restart Hardship's main quest. because that will be required for the next update to allow you to not need a clean save.   EDIT: This did not end up being necessary! This is to get rid of the issue where other AAF "random NPC sex" mods Interfere with Hardship and cause the end of sex events to trigger at the wrong times. 

 

I will also be attempting to track down a minor fault... still in Queen isabel's dialogue causing her to offer sissification at the wrong times.

This is by no means a promise but I will keep it in mind if I do ever decide to expand the content of this mod.

 

Maybe it could be a house party event only? I used the AAF menu to trigger a foursome in a house party and roleplayed it, it was mad fun. It could also be a pimp's special request? Anyway, don't mind me, your mod is fantastic as it is, no need to add anything if you don't feel like it.

I almost hate saying anything. This mod is so well done, has loads of dialogue options, but it seems the sex options are so limited to mostly sucking  on guys or gals with the occasional ass stick. With well over 200 animation poses from a number of different modders that include 20 or more F/F options, we are limited by the luck of the draw to a handful. A bunch of us play as females, but we might as well pay the 50 caps to skip the same animation over and over, if we can even get any women in game to consider our propositions at all. I have spiced it up by changing the default gender toggle in AAF, but am still restricted by this mods code to a few choices. I realize that creating separate dialogue for all sex options would be a little daunting and probably not reasonable, but to not have a more robust F/F interaction seems tedious. I do not have a lot of hours yet invested in gameplay with this mod, so maybe others can tell me there is more to come and I need to get deeper into the mod.....? Whine and rant over.? Love this mod and the author's efforts and nonstop support of the mod. Do not let me be that guy, that debbie-downer.??.

Yes, the lack of FF animations is a huge problem for AAF in general. Make no mistake though, this mod was designed with female customers as an afterthought because to my sensibilities women would not go to sex workers nearly as often as men. Early in dev there were no female customers at all... but eventually I softened to the idea.

 

Hopefully as more good mods come out someone would make some more interesting F/F animations and I will ensure they work with Hardship.

 

And in general after One Patch 2.0 comes out and we know what the situation with tags is going forward I may have a look at all my tags, test with more animation packs and see if there isn't some room for improvement.

I use AJ's xml's that add a crap ton of F/F & mixed gang bang options. It basically removes the gender from the pitcher/s. LOL

 

On a side note..

I discovered with BW active, you can sneak to the edge of a Raider camp and pick em off as they become "Menacing", because BW ignores sneak mode. Actually it's like walking around with flashing lights & a siren. hehehe Great fun! :)

Yes. I've said before that this mod is exploitable if you are devious ? It's up to you to RP responsibly.

 

UPDATE:

 

The update will be up in a few. For now I will leave the old file there as well because I made enough changes to make me nervous... but everyone should update if only because of the corrupted script fixes.

-Removed biped slots from menu object to avoid interfering with wearing rings (note: if you open this mod in the CK you will see an error because of this, but it's harmless)

-Improved compatibility with other AAF mods

- POSSIBLY fixed More Queen Isabel dialogue issues

 

You should now be able to run "NPCs have random sex" type AAF mods alongside Hardship without interference as Hardship now checks if the player is involved in the sex act before applying it's events.

 

NOTE: I was mistaken about needing to reset the main quest, so it's completely safe to use this on an existing save.

 

Hope everything is okay because I'll be out for a while. ;)

For some reason I only just found your mod.  It's great, a very immersive addition.  I've always felt a PC whose gear was all just stolen via Violate or RSE should have some way of "paying her way" on the road back to civilization (rather than just fast traveling to safety).

 

I'd really love it if there was some way this and Raider Pet wouldn't step on each other's toes, though.  As a couple other people have noted, right now any Menacing Raider dialogue is preempted by Raider Pet (since both start with you approaching a raider without a drawn weapon), meaning you get collared and Raider Pet starts before you can see any Hardship options.   Since Raider Pet makes it difficult to "move on" after your interaction with the Raiders, it turns what I'd like to be a "hey, do what you will and I'll limp away" into "damn, another multi-day long bout of captivity like the one I just escaped". 

 

I'll also try posting over in Raider Pet, since that mod doesn't have any way of turning it off without uninstalling (no MCM or anything else).

Raider Pet only cares whether you have a weapon in the inventory or not, so one simple way to make it (mostly) compatible would be for Hardship to never steal the cheapest weapon in the inventory (could be an option activated via the menu item). I have both installed in my test profile and they didn't really seem to conflict beyond this. Obviously you shouldn't activate beggar mode while being a Raider Pet, that will probably lead to problems.

Yeah, sounds like that'd have to be on their end. :( I mean you can have one or the other it seems. I hadn't gotten around to trying that one yet... I always assumed it was combat capture so that's a bummer to hear.

Okay if that's so. This is rather Lazy of me but...

 

This would immediately solve your problem. Download my other mod from my sig DLYH. This will add an extra "menu" clothing item to your inventory. It has an option to add a random cheap melee weapon.  Just do that if you get all your weapons robbed. There are other advantages to having it even if you don't want to use it as an alternate start. It's the only mod I know of that allows you to add hunger and thirst to your character. You can also just use it to zap you to a random location without starting the quest, though THAT will permanently remove the menu and defeat the raider pet compatability :) (you can re-add the menu with the console though)

The mod is actually really small and low impact if you don't start the quest. But maybe wait a bit as I am going to post a small update to that mod today.

 

EDIT: OT: OH WOW, while prepping this update I found an amazing issue with DLYH I never knew about. If you try to use the Random location inside a walled City like Goodneighbor or DC, you will teleport, but to an alternate LOD universe of low detail models. I guess you could fast travel out of this but who knows... You may just have isekai'd yourself into the twilight zone forever :)

 

Anyway the DYLH update will be up soon. I made it so you can use the (non quest) random location function repeatedly without losing the menu, so that might make this mod more attractive for the above usage.

You are too fast!  I had a suggestion...

 

I only seem to be spawning in 2 locations, the pipe down by atom cats, or the area by Nantick with all the death claws running around. 

 

Haha, if there are more locations, that would would be great.  Maybe something not so hardcore survival, but closer to raider/gunner/diamond city area. 

 

Also, love the shocking collar... concept is good... but once you find the remover,  the quest .. just ends.  Maybe just have the bomb disarmed, replaced with real handcuffs version and the trigger can be placed in one your pumps hands etc . Correction, to call you when needed etc.

I'll consider that about the shock collar. It's not a bad idea.

 

There are several more locations. You just have bad luck with the RNG.

@Tentacus Is there a way to make this entirely passive instead of the PC having to start the conversation?  Like the Way DC guards initiate when you already are a prostitute!! It could be a clickable option just like the rest.  So that this mods NPC initiated features can come to life.

Actually, there is part of that going on when you go near most characters ( raiders, gunners ), you get a "huh" from them, opening up dialogue. Would like that for everyone. I am a big fan of randomness in my gameplay. I use Magna Cum Gaudio for a lot of that and so far, both mods are playing well with each other.

This is a very good idea (except for the possible robbery part noted below), I'll try it.  I can always just console myself a Board (not really cheating IMO, in reality you ought to be able to make this sort of primitive club from all the garbage around you rather than having to get it off a Super Mutant).

 

NB:  Won't work if you're wearing a collar and go back to the original site you were a Pet; if you've completed Lucky's quest and had your collar deactivated, Raider Pet allows you to wear the collar and return safely if you don't draw a weapon (you don't have to disarm totally).  But that's a much smaller issue.
