Okay. I've been thinking about gippo's XML problem. and the problem in general with competing formats for the same positions using different position names. I think the solution as far as Hardship goes is to have a setting in the menu that allows you to chose from several XML sets, so when an animation is called directly It will chose the appropriate string to put in the position field based on that. Unfortunately this can't be automatic (AFAIK) as most of these mods don't have esps to detect. 

 

Don't expect this any time soon. I want to give @Halstrom time to come back and see if One Patch ever gets it's shit together as a project. but I'll do it at some point earlier in the New year when I have time to check out the various XML options.

That white flash bug is so dumb and easy to fix that I am gonna go ahead and release a patch in a minute for it and the linechance bug . I also have it set up so now you will no longer see the cunnilingus orgasm popups when not launched from a BW scene. To some this may be a downgrade, but it just brings cunnilingus in line with the other positions. HOWEVER. The Cunnilingus sounds will still play and stop no matter where they are launched from... as I think this is a genuinely good benefit of Hardship and was intended from the start.

 

Also I don't know if you guys noticed that the cunnilingus sound now turns on and off with position change as of 1.5. I'm probably gonna make use of that event to improve Porno Music in the near future.

Also I've just got a new problem, I get notification spam that "I look threatening" (fires every few seconds) although the weapon is holstered

I really want to try your mod; but unfortunately, it is messing up AAF Violate pretty bad.

Even it is the case when I did not turn on your mode; it somehow still kicks in everytime during AAF Violate and broke the animation.

AAF is now showing any error either

I don't believe this is possible.  Cunnilingus is the only position that does anything with BW mode off and as of the last patch all it does is play a sound. The only "animation breaking" bug associated with Hardship is XML compatibility issues. Check if you can call any AAF animations from the Wizard. If you can't then you have something in your XML setup that is conflicting with Hardship's XMLs which I can't fix. It's up to you to sort that. Look back on the thread for other people who did.

The also was confusing me man... It sounded like that was the 2nd part of something you left out.

 

First what version are you running? Is this a constant thing or only happen on load... etc.. If it's just in the latest patch I uploaded today it's possible the upload is bugged. It's gonna be replaced by another in just a bit if I can actually finish what I'm working on. Obviously I do not see this problem in my own game or I wouldn't have uploaded it.

 

BTW every second I am dealing with this I am not finishing an update I am in the middle of with the GD MCM you want so bad.

 

Sorry I am being snappy. Had a death in the family, things are tense around here, I am trying to upload 2 more things today before I am offline a few days, so I have little patience for people pulling weird bugs out of their ass at the moment.

Okay, in proper order, I hope:

 

1. I am sorry for your loss, I do hope it wasn't someone very close to you

2. The "also" was a copy/paste from a couple posts up

3. I am running 1.5.3 with patch 1.5.4

4. I agree it's weird, but it's not coming from my ass (btw, had a couple of surgeries in my ass for bleeding hemorrhoids which almost killed me at some point due to severe anemia, used to have some titanium clips there but they are supposedly gone by now - point being don't ignore bleeding hemorrhoids, they can actually kill you) - it's from my game, please see ss; it is constant, not just on load

:). Try installing 1.5.5 as it replaces the same scripts as 1.5.4. If it's a script/file issue that should fix it. Otherwise a full reinstall may be in order I've never seen anything like it. Does this just happen on one save or all of them? The onkly outside trigger I can imagine is some mod or vanilla causing vats to glitch momentarily maybe? Also try toggling menacing raiders off and and on. 

 

Or wait maybe 15 mins and 1.5.6 will be up if the final MCM test works.

Patch 1.5.6 is up.

Adds a BASIC MCM and a couple of small bug fixes. Patches 1.5.3 or 1.5.4 or 1.5.5 (note you still need to have at some point installed 1.5.3, for any of the patches)

 

MCM contains a few toggleable options. You still need the menu object for some functions. In the future a more comlete MCM will be added.

Assuming you mean Customer rape there is no Cooldown. It's just VANILLA random dialogue. One thing that can happen though is if it's a small pool of customers and you get lucky rolls the first time with each customer they will no longer be a primary risk for rape... However Now in 1.5 they can lose that keyword and be a threat again if they do spomething rapey like forcing you to suck their dick after it's been in your ass, or switch to anal.

 

To set a customer as a potential rapist again click on them in console and type Player.CF "RemoveKeyword" _T_ReturningJohn

Specifically for Leito or other animations? as Polistros versions of Leitos are staged. I am not familiar with Indarello, but if you need that for other animations, you could edit the Indarello XMLs to remove any reference to Leitos animations. and then have both Indarello and Polistros patches (I assume)

 

Or change the position names in indarellos XMLs to match those in Polistro/Leito's? What is it with all these mammerjammers willy nilly changing the names? I do it in my XMLs for compatibility, and because only hardship needs to see them. If it was supposed to be the primary way people call an anim I'd leave it as the GD animator intended.

Actually, when it comes to CallFunction (CF) calls, wrapping the parameters in quotes is not necessary.

I just posted a new mod I made in 3 days. If you have hardship it'll use some of the systems and sounds for the sex,.

Pretty cool that the new update solved the aaf startup issues I had with the last few updates, adds an MCM menu, and gives an option to disable menacing raiders. Now all that's left on my minor pet peeves list is auto stripping. Thanks for the update and continue the good work!

Seems that the notification spam is due to my BW quest patch (I am trying to remove begging refusals, no idea what went wrong). I am sorry for the false alarm.

 

On the other hand, I think your mod can "hijack" sex scenes triggered by other mods (namely my own random fuck mod which is also based on calling AAF API); most likely you are monitoring OnSceneEnd indiscriminately without a BW-specific criteria

- "cleaning up the mess" triggers after sex scenes triggered by my mod

- got an even weirder situation where my mod called a random scene with a triggerman which then "evolved" into a BW pissing message (btw, is pissing just a message or should it animate?)

 

To ensure it doesn't interfere with other mods, my mod ensures actors don't have the AAF_Actor_Locked keyword, otherwise skips the scene. Also, the cleanup triggers only on a mod-specific condition (see below).

FWIW a more reliable way to do this is to use AAF animation meta strings.  When you call an animation, do

sceneSettings.meta = "My_Mod_Name"

then in the OnSceneEnd do

Note that there are a few mods, like MCG and Sex Attributes, that listen for specific items in the Meta string and use them to modify player stats.  All of my mods supply this information, so for example Sex Attributes knows if the player has been raped by Violate.  The strings in question are "Consensual", "PlayerRaped", and "PlayerRapist".  If you do this, the Meta string should be comma-separated and parsing it takes just a little more work:

sceneSettings.meta = "My_Mod_Name,PlayerRaped"

and

Well if you have BW mode on it'll "enhance" any AAF call yeah... and you should turn it off when not  actively doing Harrdship sex stuff, because without setting the globals for partnertype and sextype like in my scripts things like the orgasm effects will be messed up. (IE Cunnilingus ending with male sounds) Conversely a modder such as yourself can make Hardship a soft dependency and add my orgasm effects and whatever menus and sounds and such might be appropriate to scenes. if and only if the user has Hardship in their load order. (Look at the Hospitality sex script to see how I did it)

 

With BW off, it should not though. The cleaning up the mess block being the exception. It is intentionally outside the protections so it can have an extra chance to clean up any stray wrongly set globals. If it bugs people I can change that though now that I clear the globals on each load.

 

I'll have a good look at your prevention block when I get back though. I'm going to be offline a few days.

I am guessing that it'll only work with the english language version of the game. :( You need to have the handwritten font and Console (ariel) font that come with it. I am surprised this is the first time this has come up if this is an issue.

 

If somebody wants to go in and make a compatibility patch by going in and removing all the text formatting tags from the scripts, they have my blessing. Probably wouldn't be too hard using text replacement once you know what to remove. Took me 10s of hours to add them though ? 

 

Or it might be as easy as adding the fonts to your game folder somehow (I don't know)
