I have a problem toggling menacing raiders on / off via the menu. Meaning no matter how many times I try toggling them on, getglobalvalue _t_raidertoggle returns 0 and they... don't menace. Ended up doing a set _t_raidertoggle to 1

MCM has the advantage of showing the current value.

Starting a new game just for entertainment! *gasp*

Grabbing the latest Real Handcuffs beta and @Flashy (JoeR)'s extreme Survival overrides. Gonna start out with a DLYH Random location (no quest).

ooooh... good luck! That ESO mod makes things VERY challenging. Even I am afraid to use it, lol.

If you haven't installed the new patch try dropping your menu object. Since 1.0.6 it's required to refresh the main menu script when updating on an existing save, but in 1.5.4 I do it automatically on each load.

I first noticed it when I added the backpack toggle. no matter how many times you clicked it the global wouldn't actually change. I know you want an MCM. It just wasn't that big a priority in the time I had. It'll come after the new year.

BTW you already get a notification if a toggle is successful or not.

Trying a clean save now for good measure. I have 1.5.4

Just saying :)

True. And the toggle notification says disabled, but never says enabled

Well, that certainly sounds like the toggle bug from an unrefreshed main menu script. :(

hey Folks,

so i have this problem many seem to have, you guessed it, AAF. its not working when i use BW newer than 1.0.7. some of you fixed it from what i read here but i have overseen something.

my Question is what did you do to fix it? did you reinstalled AAF and the Animation packs etc, or is there something else i overseen?

Despite a couple of run-ins with raiders Susan has stayed a virgin and mostly unhurt. She got a flesh wound from a raider bullet. She ran into an odd fellow near the quarry. First time I'm actually getting to play with Buzzer from my Mercs mod. Doesn't she just seem thrilled about her new companion?

At least one of them reinstalled Polistro's patches. Unfortunately it seems a case by case thing thing dependent on which AAF related mods you have. If you use Mod Organizer 2 it's pretty easy to play with the left side load order to see what helps... If not I dunno what to tell you.

i was hoping that you could tell me that simply reinstalling AAF and related mods will fix everything, because im not that Deep into the matter from modding and, to be honest, dont understand every Detail what you guys discuss here.

so when i have some time in a few days i will try to reinstall/update AAF and related mods and see what happens.

thanks anyway

Yeah it can be daunting at first. Unfortunately Bethsda modding kinda requires you to become technical. It's always gonna be a hobby that requires tinkering at some point. Good luck.

Poor Susan's luck ran out. I'll be honest I forgot I made it so just begging from Gunners can get you raped. It was quite a shock!  It also happened just after Buzzer left since I didn't have enough caps to rehire him.

thank you for the menacing raider toggle! While i didnt always mind letting the player character get into nonstop situations, getting through concord took me a lot longer than i wouldve wanted but now it's fine!

I would like to note that this feature seems to be a little flaky. sometimes when you toggle menacing raiders off it doesn't toggle the white flag faction meaning they won't menace but they also won't attack. It seems like if you toggle BW mode on and off before or after toggling the Menacers off it seems to fix that.

Before I was referring to my mod Mercenaries and safe passage which adds 3 hirable companions.  It has some special interactions with Hardship, for instance if you hire the Raider Merc Blaze, you can whore yourself to raiders without fear of being raped or beaten (mostly).

LOL - my laptop is a potato. Framerate is horrendous. I dont play the game though - just make mods for it and occasionally make vids to show functions.

Starving, and having already been violated against her will 3 times... when the synth Thomas offered to trade her supplies for sex, Susan reluctantly accepted the deal. To her horror though, half way through, he forced anal sex on her... Unfortunately for him, she didn't take it well.

Ok, after a clean save I am enjoying the new version a lot (although the mid-scene dialogues don't always seem to materialize into the relevant animations, but that's most likely on my end). Now, how do I trigger the "non-politically correct dialogue", and, more importantly, the piss scenes? I have them toggled on

The hate speech dialogue really only applies to a male player. usually homophobic slurs. Though I think I might have one or 2 nastier comments aimed at women in there for shits and giggles... Honestly can't remember. It just changes certain strings in the existing popups.

As for the pee stuff, when activated it randomly occurs at the end of rapes. I think it's like a 1 in 3 chance. So far Susan has been very unlucky :)

You are looking for the mod "Damn Apocalypse" on nexus.

Also, Korax Changes makes modifications to remove junk, legendary weapons and gear from corpses.

And if you want harder, on LL FO4 Naked Basics which you are forces naked and not allowed to wear vanilla armor clothes, as well as prevented in buying or trading vanilla armor clothes.

And if you wan to add more, add Tuckered Out .

Already done without complications to this mod.

John

Oh. My. God.

Trying these now and this makes it so much better! Shame on me for trying to search nexus for "less ammo" / "no water". Mods names are a bit obscure. Thanks for educating me here!

My biggest pet peeve is still that there's no mod to ally with settlements through non violent means. "Go kill a whole base of supermutants" rarely suits the type of characters I run with Hardship. I just said fuck it and grabbed the mod that unlocks all the workkshops, but it still feels like a missed opportunity. Maybe a scavenging fetch quest or sexual favor, or both... You know the existing quests would be fine if you had the option to ask for backup.

Ya know you are right... it would take a lot of work because of the so many variations of camps of NPC's possible...

Maybe give you a scenario... there's a big mod the pre-builds cities.  Now, you can have those pre-built - non-pre-built occupied by hostile raiders and gunners or MM - depending on faction pack.  So, let's take Sunshine Tidings.  Occupied by hostile raiders.  To take that settlement, you have to conqueror it.  Meaning kill the hostiles.  In the vanilla game, you have to remove all enemies to unlock the workbench...

So let's say, your pc... comes to sunshine tidings... and you know what happens with the hostile raiders... they might make you a raider pet for awhile.  have you be the party favor for awhile... but life goes on and Raiders are lazy... would be nice they let you rest and allowed to build them crops, maybe some better beds... etc... at which point, they make an "arrangement" with you... non-hostility in exchange for some faction wizardry which allows you to then "take over the settlement"...

This would be a tough mod change - I really like your idea of non-violent takeover.... killing your abusers seems … wrong?  :)  Actually, if you use Workshop Framework, you could roleplay this and in the MCM, use "Claim this settlement"... of course any turrets you build would attack the hostile raiders... lol....

And while there are many modders that have great skills... IMHO... this would be best for @Flashy (JoeR)  Maybe when he gets an evil streak. :)

No idea. I haven't used the Fallout 4 version of either but I kinda doubt it.
