People often overlook the instructions for xSE Preloader setup. This could be your issue.

"Go to the xSE PluginPreloader.xml file and change the load method to OnThreadAttach or ImportAddressHook if the default doesn't work."

so i downloaded the mod from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33946?tab=description and tried both the default and two methods you suggested and i still get the stuck at 68% error

Generally when AAF stops initializing at some % value, that's an indication you have an animation patch mismatched with some version of an animation pack it's supposed to be patching, or multiple animation patches conflicting over changes to some of the same animations. You're likely to get faster help on the AAF Discord, but usually the next step in troubleshooting this is to turn on debug logging in AAF's configuration so you can see what problems it's running into at load (it will print its debug log down the left side of the screen that way).

To turn on debug you need to either reinstall AAF selecting debug mode in the final page of its FOMOD installer menu, or adjust the debug setting in the AAF_settings.ini file. This way you can see what AAF is logging even when you can't successfully access the admin log from its in-game interface.

debug mode is on as I re-installed it and - as I said- that is all that happensimage.png.f62fd2b652890ae6c91ada7d785594d3.png

Hmm. Do you have Address Library also ? Its needed. You also need Visual C+ Runtime. Also make sure you click save before closing any ini/xml file after editing.

If any of that does not help, we will need to see your installer load order and also your esm/esp/esl load order.

By the way, i found it good to have AFF to be last mod in the mod order.

Have you tried that. Perhaps it will finish loading then.

I had a similar problem long ago and after doing that, it worked for me.

But that is just my case. Yours may be different.

Check if it works just using the AAF key. Then make sure you have all the requirements.

I found the problem, being that nothing tagged as aggressive works, but I don't know how to fix that.

Ahh, a mixture of these worked - turns out it was BP70's animations causing 086 error

y...you don't have fucking One patch installed do you? And you do have Staged Leito Plus right? SLP must be installed AFTER Leito. File load order/ruling REALLY matters with AAF.

@Tentacus

Any chance we can get a short summary of the features for Hardship 1.6 and TSEX? It's a long thread and while I've searched it for tidbits, I still don't have a solid idea of upcoming features. I promise I just want to anticipate complimentary mods and am not interested in squeezing feature teasers. ?

Gonna be honest dev has been so spread out (Over a year due to some truly cataclysmic events that ruined the splitting off of the TSEX Master twice, and just that it is a lot,. I might go back to calling it Hardship Final :p) That remembering everything already added and what hasn't been yet is hard. I'll try to recount the main points here

It will be 2 components, The TSEX package  and the Hardship 1.6 package.

HARDSHIP 1.6

the strictly player prostitution elements as well as the menacing raiders and sensible Gunners will remain located in Beggar_Whore.esp. (That stuff was simply too tangled up to ever fully unfuck.) This will largely remain unchanged except for behind the scenes things. The biggest changes is the removal of predator mode, and the old half assed raider captive dialogue, and an upcoming revamp of isabel's dialogue using a new generalized D/s system.

Sex with compainions MAY also be removed and use just the new general TSEX system... Kinda depends if I can untangle it.

TSEX:

TSEX will contain everything else as well as the bulk of sound effects, textures and whatnot. TSEX is a Master for Hardship and any other mods I make going forward.

Some features include:

Social skills that can draw attention

Sex drive system (managed through sex or masturbation)

Trauma system (Managed through crying)

Guilt system (For both evil player actions and irrational victim guilt)

Sexual proficiency levels

Sexual proficiency skills chosen as you level up

New dialogue modes. In addition to existing Hardship mode you will have a general social mode for concensual sex and socializing

Aggressive mode (This will probably come as an addon plugin as it's honestly gonna be pretty fucked up,

Player surrender and captivity. (Raiders and a few more specific scenareos probably coming in the later NPC content)

Added NPC, and quest materials (Also probably an addon)

At some time further along in dev I'll probably make a video/videos like the older ones.

EDIT: I neglected to mention body cum and body bruises, and the fact that all the dialogue modes as well as the stats and solo actions are accessed through a single shortcuttable menu. Also you'll be able to change your facial expression as part of the social gameplay.

Also Aggressive mode will have options for taking NPCs as captives and enslaving them.

Thanks for that. As I suspected, I clearly missed a lot of features. ?

Update:

Feeling like crap today so I doubt I'll get anything done on the mod.  Maybe a few bug fixes or some R&D.

Posted (edited)

I just realized that they changed the way "current version" and "What's new" are handled on the file section so It had still been showing 1.59J as current. I've fixed it now. sorry for any confusion.

I wonder if this is somehow why people are suddenly installing Leito 1.4 instead of 2.0. ?

Updated the installation guide so Fusion girl link points at current LL version.

Update:

Fixed a crapload of typos that Requiredname65 found, and did some R&D Yesterday.

Plans for today is to (Begin to) compile a comprehensive list of outstanding issues with the current unreleased build and maybe port the black messageboxes to TSEX and 1.6.

Probably the biggest annoyance is that, like soap, if it's in my inventory or the workshop storage, I sometimes accidentally break it down when crafting something calling for oil as an ingredient. Oops!

So this was apparently rather trivial, dunno why I didn't think to try before. With FO4Edit/XEdit. copy the misc item entry for the object as an override into a plugin, and then remove its component records. The game automatically puts misc items which provide components into the Junk category, while those which provide none wind up in the Misc category in your inventory. Voila! Now I no longer accidentally break down cooking oil (or soap, or pre-war money...).

Been looking through the issues and looks like most people are having problems related to animations.  I got a weird one....probably an easy answer but I've never run into it.  The options in MCM won't stick.  As soon as I exit the options menu all of the options reset to default, which, unfortunately also includes the option to turn hardship on.  Any ideas from the regular users?

Could be a problem with your firewall. Deactivate your Firewall for f4se and the fallout4.exe and try it again.

This is ALWAYS improperly set up AAF/XML conflicts/Didn't get the right version of a particular requirement (Leito) The latter is due to the last site update making older files sometimes appear to be the main one.

All together now with feeling!

15.  Real Handcuffs  0.4.7 or above -- This is a true Master of Hardship and RealHandcuffs.esp must be above Beggar_Whore.esp in the plugin load order!

NOTE: Read the instructions carefully. If you don't you might end up with an AAF conflict.

(Not trying to be an asshole but you couldn't have looked too hard as this literally happens every couple of pages since I added the MCM.)

If for some odd reason that isn't the issue it's also possible that you have a corrupted Hardship install or one of the requirements including AAF is corrupted so you should redownload and reinstall them. The underlying issue is the main quest not running.

90% of the time it's real handcuffs not being present or being below Beggar_Whore.esp.
