Do you play too much Skyrim?

Being completely honest, I think I play it too much sometimes. I know that you can't go off of Steam hours but I'm almost at 3k hours (possibly higher back when I was playing the game offline) and they're pretty authentic. When the game isn't broken (like it kind of is now), I'll play this shit like its 2011, man.  No other game holds my attention like a modded Skyrim does. I have "friends" who are playing classic WoW and whatever other game with 4k graphics and I personally dont want anything to do with that shit. Nothing better than coming home, get in comfy clothes and play a bard character for the 50th time on Skyrim. But at the same time theres gotta be better games out there, right guys? Right?

I know what you mean. According to Steam I have over 5K hours in the game, and yet each time I see a new mod, or new features added to an old mod, I get itchy to fire up a new game.

I would play too much Skyrim, if I would ever stop to touch that Load Order and adding, removing, changing it.

Would also help if LL and Nexus block my account so I can't check for new things I could try to integrate into my already overloaded setup.

I admit I have an addiction to play characters to lvl 20 and then rebuild the whole thing.

I'm now at a point that have a collection of mods that work and work together, enough for a few Themed Skyrim playthroughs (playthrough for me = 300-600hours with an unchanged.... not so much changed  LO), still I can't stop to try if it can be better.

Seems I'm addicted to Load Orders and LL and only if  there is time left then I would be addicted to play Skyrim.

If a Setup works I get scared and need to add something that breaks it. ? (or I get totally exited and have to try another one to see if I can be even more impressed ?)

There shall be no working LO! (or mods in it) ?

Alright, Alright => addicted firstly to Mod-Authors and Mod-Modifiers creations

and than even a bit addicted to Skyrim too?

Played for a while in 2012/13 then started modding (creating mods) then went too far away with creating mods. So just stopped.

Do I still play it? No. Do I still mod it? No. Do I play other games? Sometimes, but not for long.

Nah, I don't play Skyrim too much...

But I have probably played Fallout 4 too much...

Most of this is modding (making/testing mods, etc.).  I also played both of these games on Xbox 360/One, several times... :)

There is no such thing as too much Skyrim. Not to me. Apart from racing sims/simcades/arcades, Skyrim is my most played game of all time, even more than Fallout 4, FarCry 3 and SanAndreas.

I haven't touched FO4 nearly as much. I'm still learning modding both even after all these years.

^ This. The other games are good but I prefer to punish myself by modding from scratch every month. (Still pretty scrub at load order and such so I try not to break the game too often.)

what is skyrim, is me completely foreign? :O
I deleted Skyrim from my consciousness and that already since December 2014.
I have so many games "not Bethesda" the far better are than this Bugs contaminated shit!
the last two Assassins Creed games are better, the Dragon Age series is better, the Witcher series is better and many many more.
and the most important without serious bugs which to let your heart bleed. :classic_wink:

Skyrim is my sandbox for creating models/textures and it is a good  training Area for my lil daughter to learn 3dsmax/PS by dress up dolls.I take screenshots but I do not play it anymore seriously.

But the WoW fever hit me again,i play it since 2005 and now are the classics out,it runs 24/7 on my second pc and I sit with my old friends only on a campfire. ?

Skyrim I have 8998 hours but have yet to complete setting it up on the new pc I built in June so I have not played it since then but close to half that is from mod debugging.

In the CK I have 6620 hours (also not set up on the new pc).

As for Fallout 4 I have 6349 hours.

Next closest games are:

Elite Dangerous at 1506 hours

According to Steam I have 6828 hours in but like many others there is uncounted hours of offline play as well as 473 hours worth of creation kit. I have to say that this is due to the awesome mod content as I have finished the main quest several time in the distant past and quit playing until i started using mods.  I do have a large library of other games but most only have a few hours in (50 to 75) with the more interesting ones topping out at only a couple 100 hours.

So no I don't play too much Skyrim, hell I spent way more time getting my worthless Bachelors Degree in Business Management... Okay maybe not.

Umm... Maybe...

However, I did have a habit of dropping to desktop and then getting distracted with something of youtube or the like. More than a few times have I woken up to find Skyrim still running in the background. I assume such AFK hours are counted, if not then that figure is really embarrassing since I didn't pick the game up until around 2014.
As many others have said, much of my playing is finding a new mod, making a new play through due to mod. I think I've got over 50th level, maybe 3 or 4 times. Normally I am bored by high 30's and go do something else for a bit until I come back and start my next play through.

Have 2851 hours in Creation Kit as well, again. I've left that running on a few occasions... Like now, oops.

Exactly, play through once or twice unmodded then try out a few mods get up a few levels (mid 20s to mid 30s) then start over with a few more. Then it just goes on and on, hell I don't even remember the last time I paid attention to the main quest. Who cares about the civil war, thieves guild, dark brotherhood or what not my character is ballin'. She has a prostitution ring, drug cartel, human milk scam and countless other underhanded activities going on. While I may not be saving the world I am sure enough racking of the "septims".
