All,

I'm taking a temporary break for the Christmas and New Years period.  I've placed a note at the top of the mod download page; I'll hopefully see you all in about a month!

Have a good one, thanks for all the work you've done on this

These are all creature animations yes?  I'll give them a try since I don't have many.  But I'm more into humanoid animations.  Any recommendations on that end?

Hi Eadoo, love the updates to the database, just wondering if you are going to include the FemaleActor_Female_Dom folder i put in that zip with the FemaleActor_Female folder.  thats got dominant lesbian action with the female PC :)

I haven't done any work with this yet; I actually haven't seen it ever called.  Do you know which animations you use that call it?

Hello.  I know you are on a break.  Just wanted to drop a screen shot of a typo I found.  There was a line where the word "rear" had two capital letters.  "REar".  Probably a minor issue.

Have a nice break.

Apropos REar issue.png

Yeah, this is parsed as REar for me too.  I haven't worked out yet why Apropos 2 chooses the capitalization it does, but it's something that I plan on asking Gooser about.

The fun one to me is in the {BREED} token..."impregnate".  It always gets parsed as IMPREGNATE.  The game is clearly very excited about it.  :)

FunnyBiz has female dom animations, apart from that i cant remember any others right now but will have a look. Its been so long since i played with the old apropos database. i manually added them at the time and then stopped playing skyrim for a while. will look  for a backup but maybe someone can get creative and add them, i just dont have the time any more to mod, but still play when i can and love seeing what people are still doing with this game.

Ok, so today's update popped into my head yesterday and it wouldn't leave me alone.  So, here it is, surprise!

This update changes all of the tokens to Christmas-themed words.  I won't guarantee any of it will make sense, however, I'm pretty certain it'll be hilarious.  I made this update primarily to entertain myself (and hopefully you!).

I still plan on coming back to work in January.  If any of you play with today's update, please take pictures and share them between now and then so that I have some humor to come back to.  :)

I love the concept.  Gonna give the Christmas one a shot. ^-^

Tonight I migrated over from LE to SE.

Part of that process included grabbing a snapshot of the in-progress DB so I could import it into the SE-patched Apropos2 instance.

Since I did it anyway, I figured I'd share.  Happy Holidays everyone!

Would it be possible to make this compatible with Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul since it replaces all healing potions and therefore the healing per potion on apropos doesn't work. PS:Happy new year everbody

Sure.  I'm inclined to offer it as a patch to own mod, though.  Can you provide me a list of the consumables there, and a basic idea of how much they heal?

Since we're on the subject, let's talk about W&T consumables!  Does anyone have any feelings on the following?

1.  Remove Skooma Dealers of Skyrim compatibility.  I added this early on, when I was of the mind, "well, it's skooma, right, and there are other types of skooma on the list..."  Since then I've sort of been of the opinion that items that heal a significant amount should have associated penalties.  SDoS doesn't really have that (unless you consider visual effects to be in that category), and I'm not sure how many people use it anyway.  Plus, I didn't bother trying to bring it with me when I updated to SSE, so...

2.  Remove Sperm and Breast Milk (Succubus Heart).  I like the idea of the Souls healing small amounts, though.

3.  Double the healing numbers for Potions.  This is only based on the Potion of Ultimate Healing healing all HP damage, but only 200 W&T damage (out of 1000).  For comparison, other potions heal Minor Healing (25), Healing (50), Plentiful Healing (75), Extreme Healing (150).  This is just a direct mapping over of how many HP they heal - most players won't have 1000 HP, so it seems out of whack to have W&T and HP healing on the same scale.

And, one LAST subject...

For those who don't obsessively read my posts, I recently moved to SSE.

And boy, let me tell you, I didn't know what I was missing before.

You should do it, if you haven't already.

Well the thing is most potions have a description with multiple effects and gathering all in a list would take some time do you know a faster way of looking these things up other than looking up every potion in the game?

I thought W&T consumables raised arousal, not heal wear and tear!

With regards: -

1) Skooma Dealers should be an add-on patch, not included. I have used the mod, but removed it as it causes me too many black face.

2) I think any consumable related to sex and intoxicants (think Ecstasy) should raise arousal, not heal. Except maybe breast milk as a healing substance (babies love it, full of antibodies).

Arousal effect could be increased based on quantity/quality of consumable.

3) Healing potions should be limited to 'specialist' suppliers. Otherwise there is no reason for everyone not to have constant rampant sex! ?

On a side note: One of the ideas I am trying to work towards is 'Sex Magic'. W&T is a great fit for that idea, as any form of magic should have a cost. The power of sex magic would come from the quantity and type (taboo?) of sex, not magic ability. Hence W&T fits due to the physical and negative effect of copious sex. Also required would be a form of sex addition which if not satisfied could have some negative results. Think of the PC as a sex 'vampire'. ??

They actually do both, and always have.  You might not have noticed it because they generally don't heal that much (Skooma, for instance, is configured by default to heal 25/1000 total damage).  The healing amount is configured in the database, while the arousal amount is MCM-configured.

1.  Sounds like agreement there.

2.  Hmmm...there's gotta be another mod around somewhere to do that without needing to make Apropos 2 do it.  That'd be a lot of 0 heal items I'd have to add to the database.  But...I could always add a "0 heal" patch.  :)

3.  My reasoning for this is that it's balanced by Sexlab Pheremones.  People might be less willing to take a chance if there was a small chance that doing that would result in them getting repeatedly raped by Giants.  :)

I didn't know about the healing aspect. Thx for pointing it out. ?

2) What about a patch for Sexlab Immersive Arousal (SLIA)?

3) Correctly setting Sexlab Pheromones should sort that out. I hardly get bothered now, which means its a huge surprise when it happens. ?

I like the mod how it is, and really enjoy the updates. That said before you start making cuts, nips and tucks:

I really don't mind any changes, so long as the ability to dump in my custom tuning files (things like WearAndTear_Consumables.txt, WearAndTear_Damage.txt) is not touched. Skooma stuff would be better as their own plugin I suppose...but drugs do, in fact...add wear and tear on a body. Skooma whores who drop before they get their next hookup with Radiant Prostitution? You bet. One of the best bits of apropos2 is how well it hand in glove works with many other mods like SW. I happen to use this functionality, and Skooma Whore, all tied into LAL for a start if I want it. Robust features are not a bad thing. Yes, they have to be maintained, but that's part and parcel to development. ;)

I'd almost like to make the inverse suggestion: Giving people more options to fine tune their experience on their own terms, is typically the best way to go about changes like these. Different players play differently. If they didn't, modding wouldn't be a thing. Modding is the essence of divergent play, and apropos2 very much works in that vein.

I get worried when people start, or talk about cutting functionality/featuresets is all.

Yep yep. I've been using apropos2 in SSE for quite some time now. SSE has its own issues of course, but overall...a decent experience.
