Apropos2 Text DB Update

First of all thanks for the incredible mod! An absolute must-have to me!

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, in wich case feel free to refer me to other resources

Is it possible for the description text to contain UNICODE simbols (like the black heart ♥ etc...) ?

How can I code it? Pasting it in the text doesn't work obviously and only returns a ballot box simbol... which makes me feel that UNICODE simbols ARE indeed supported but I don't know how to code the correctly...

Anyone can help me?

Hey there, I actually tried this myself some time ago and wasn't able to get it working.  Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

In the text documents what is the difference between documents like MaleActor_Female_Vaginal and MaleActor_Female_Vaginal_Stage1? They seem to be the same thing looking inside but then there are documents that follow the same naming convention but are massively different like MaleActor_Female_Anal and MaleActor_Female_Anal_Stage1.

MaleActor_Female_Vaginal would be run when the animation starts, and MaleActor_Female_Vaginal_Stage1 would be run when Stage 1 of the animation runs.  Whether they're different or not comes down to how it was written when it was created.  I really haven't touched the MaleActor_Female stuff much other than to properly place synonyms.

Thank you for clearifying, I just wanted to change some text to be less aggressive and wasn't sure about the documents without the stage signifier.

Yeah, just toss them into the txt and it'll work fine. Make sure you reload the config:

In the Apropos 2 MCM, go to "Message Preferences" and click "Refresh from Database"

Is it possible to remove some of the synonyms from the txt.file to only get certain descriptions to show?

I'm also having an issue were the widget message displays once in a great while, almost like somethings blocking it. Any ideas?

Hey all, I haven't forgotten about this project...I'm just not as motivated to write new strings as I used to be. But...I AM motivated to absolute laziness and I've started developing an AI bot to do this work FOR me.

A quick preview of the output. This bot needs some further work...it's making up synonym tokens right now. Hahaha.

Anyway, I should have new content soon.

I have used your mod when making my own database update. I was wondering if I would have permission to upload it while it contains your content for beast scenarios. Currently mine consists of 2nd person male player characters on female consensual scenes with elements of incest in a few places. If you'd rather I don't upload thats understandable, I don't want to steal anyone's work.

 

I'm glad to see you updating the database, I'll have to update my creature databases with your new work. I hope you find further motivation for the mod, I really appreciate a good text description. An AI could definitely make creating further content easier and I have no issues with it personally.

For some reason updating from database doesn't seem to be working, I'm still getting the dialogue from the base mod. Would it be feasible to just... replace the files in the base mod with these ones?

That's what's SUPPOSED to happen anyway. But you can't just delete the original database...you need to copy this OVER it; it's still relying on some of the files provided by the base DB.

If the Wear and Tear part of the mod stopped working and tracking characters only later in a playthrough, what might be the issue?

I'm having an issue with the MCM telling me that it's outdated. I've placed the .pex file in the scripts, but I still seem to be having issues installing Apropos2. I'm using JContainer's version 4.2.9, and I'm on the most recent version of AE (1.6.1170). Did I have to install anything else other than the requirements and the .pex file? Here is what I see:

I got the MCM working, but I can't get the Wear and Tear feature to work. Everything else works fine, but W&T seems to not do anything to my character. Not even the W&T section in the MCM shows that my character has taken any amount of damage, and the test W&T button does nothing to me.

Hmm, just to make sure you have slavetats installed? Or maybe have apropos lower in the loadorder? Could also rely on rough/aggressive tags or SL Defeat determining it to be non-con. Also worth checking you have Eadoo's patch/latest version. If you fully give up and need a stable base, it's working fine added to Nefaram modlist + Babo + PW fame comments. (Also recommend installing voice packs for those).

Are there newer versions of the Eadoo's .pex file? I do have slavetats installed. I'll check on the loadorder and see if that's it. 

 

Edit: So I got it to work, no clue how or why. The only thing that still doesn't work is the test W&T button in the MCM.

Update on issue

I'm making a SkyFem version of this (I just finished making one for the original apropos database before finding this shortly after) and it found a missing comma in the process of parsing the JSON in Python to isolate unique lines to change all at once, in FemaleActor_Chicken_Vaginal_Rape:

Found a broken synonym tag in files that use the following line:

 

["Almost smiling, the {MONSTER} {SLOW}ly {INSERT}s its {VILE} {DEAD} {SLIMY {COCK} into me."

 

This was in (what I assume are) the dragon priest files, but they're probably present in Draugr and other undead creature files.

 

 

I'll probably find some other stuff in this process, so once I've finished the SkyFem conversion I'll go back and fix any broken synonym tags or other errors that I find in the original by comparing differences and then upload that here or whatever preferable.
