AAF Family Planning Enhanced for CBBE, Fusion Girl, and Jane Bod

I had the old family planning working years ago but now I just can't seem to make it work. Either is doesn't show up on MCM or it does nothing or none of the sex mods work. I've put over 16hrs into trying to make it all work together to varying degrees of success but none of the LL mods seem to want to play nice with FPE.

That's pretty vague.

 

First off you need to have the latest versions of: Fallout 4 itself, F4SE, MCM, LooksMenu, and AAF.  And in general make sure you have the latest version of everything in the listed Requirements on the download page.

 

Once you have those and you've verified MCM works and you get the AAF startup messages, install one animation pack - BP70 is a good choice - and play some animations with AAF.

 

Once that is working, install AAF FPE, go into the FPE MCM and set set your Base Percent Chance to 100%, and set all the Notification options to ON except fpr "Player-Only Conception Notification".  Then verify the mod is working by playing some male-to-female sex animations.  You should at least get conception chance notifications, and most likely you'll get pregnant if you try a couple of times.

 

After that, install the other stuff one at a time and test it before moving on to the next one.

I have no idea but I would check other pregnancy mods such as my mods

craft or cheat yourself a semen injector and equip it and see what happens

Has anyone used this with Fallout 4 Configuration Tool - By Bilago, by any chance?

 

It seems to set the MCM chances to zero. I can change them, but when I look again, they've been reset.

 

Anyone know a workaround?

I have no idea what I;'m doing wrong. I uninstalled the Bilago tool, updated FP (I had an old version, my bad).  Reinstalled MCM, edited the FP_FamilyPlanningEnhanced.ini by hand. Deleted the FP_FamilyPlanningEnhanced.ini file (which hasn't been regenerated - where are these values being stored?). I started a new game and it was just the same....

 

I'm running out of ideas here. It was working yesterday!

Never mind, I think I found it.  Problem seems to lie with Kerber100's PrivateProfileRedirector which has a history of doing this with MCM menus. Looking through the comments, the problem was fixed for a good many mods, but not all. There's also mention of a patch submitted to the MCM guys that may not have been applied.

 

I need MCM more than I need the profile redirector, useful as it is, so I guess I'll be uninstalling it.

 

I really wish I'd worked this out before I started on a full reinstall, last night...

One of the mods prevents AAF from functioning, I'm not sure which yet. It doesn't show up on MCM and pressing the Home key does nothing. None of the AAF related mods will work. It will likely take awhile to test to see which mod is causing this.

Most likely, some mod changed the configuration file..Try deleting FPE using my method(several people here have already used it successfully).1.Disable the mod in MCM.2.Save the game and exit.3.Delete mod and all fpe files from the MCM folder in the Data folder.4.Go to the game from the last save,wait a minute and save.5.Move to another location and sleep there for 24 hours.6.Save and exit.7.Clear the last save and install the mod.

Hmm... I looked at the ini file you highlight in the screenshot, and the values there were what I would expect them to be, and completly different to the ones shown in-game. Is it possible to change where MCM looks for its data files?

 

It's not even MO2 strangeness, since I migrated that profile to Wrye Bash, partly to prevent any VFS highjinks.

I think disabling in MCM was the one thing I didn't try, tbh.

That sounds like the ini file is read only.

 

The settings are stored in the FP_FamilyPlanningEnhanced.ini and loaded into globals in memory.  MCM writes the settings to the ini whenever they are updated via the menu, and loads them each time the game is loaded.  Of course, if the ini isn't actually being written to, then your settings in game will reset every time you load the game.

 

I don't think uninstalling/reinstalling the mod will be helpful.  I recommend checking the read/write permissions on the ini first, and I would test whether MCM is loading the correct file by manually editing the ini when the game is not running and verifying the change shows up in game.

That was why I thought about Bilago 's launcher in the first instance; I first noticed this after I told it to make the ini files read only. The thing is, the problem persisted after I undid that, also after I manually set the file as writable and ever after I deleted it entirely.

 

The values shown in MCM basically had no connection to the ones in ones in FP_FamilyPlanningEnhanced.ini.

Thing is, the ini file values were the ones I'd previously configured. I was just getting zeroes for everything in-game. And the profile redirector speeds up ini file access by reading and cacheing the ini values, so if it was glitching on the FP ini (and it has a history of such issues) then that would explain the problem.

Done those things. File was writable and had the correct values. Changing them wasn't reliably manifested in game. I also deleted the file entirely (theorising that sicne there wasn't an ini in the initial mod files, a new ini would be created if one was not found. And the file was never recreated. Meanwhile, the MCM menu continued to do its own thing.

 

It was most frustrating, I don't mind saying.

Hi,
A series of questions about the mod to make an extension or for you to consider them in later versions:


DNA (Mother / father):: is it possible to receive the mother / father id to make a basic genetic system?
I understand that babies generated by the mod don't have gender or features defined by the characteristics of the parents, so would it's possible to make depending on the parents, the baby will carry some basic characteristics?


* Gender:
    - M / F: Can generate both genders (random)
    - F / F: They only generate female babies
    - M / M: They only generate male babies


* If the race is different, there is a 50% chance for both races, so it would be a random value between the two.


* If the hair/eyes/skin is different color, the same happens with the race, 50% probability for both.


Obviously, these characteristics would be passed to the child npc and later to the adult npc.


I know that your mod doesn't take care of babies, the mod only creates the object, but it's the mod that has knowledge of the father/mother who has launched the process of generating the baby. Or is there a command to recognize parents? I ask to know if there is the possibility of making a mod that applies these characteristics to the generated baby or replace it with another baby with those features?


I haven't done mod in Fallout, but if I've made several in Skyrim for my own use, and according to what I've read in the comments, it doesn't vary much to make a mod for Skyrim to do it for Fallout, so I've thought about do it myself.


As I've indicated, there are doubts before I start doing anything about the mod. So if you see the idea as something usable in your own mod, just you've to tell me so that I don't bury myself in the process of creating something like that.


I've installed and tested the Family Planning Enhanced Assorted Addon's mod but it doesn't come close to what I want to do and it adds a lot of junk that I've neither intention nor desire to use (with all my respect for the author, but I've no interest in cows/bulls and other injectors).


Oh, and thank you very much for the great mod. It was the first to install with the AAF and almost all the installation of the fallout I've is to enjoy the game and this mod.

The mod tracks the mother, of course, as well as the race of the father.  The type of baby is determined by the father's race.


I am not aware of a way currently for a script to get an actor's skin color or hair color.  It would be possible to add functions to do that in F4SE.  If there is not an existing F4SE plugin that provides this functionality, I can add it to the LLFP plugin.  

 

Adding support for hair and skin color would require modifying FPE to track that information for the mother and father and then modify the code that creates the baby, child actor, and adult actor to use that data.  And it would need to do it in such a way that it does not break existing baby race add-ons.

Um so I found a lore issue.

When you are south of University Point there is a ghoul child trapped in a fridge.  He's been there for over 200 years and he hasn't aged.  He is still a child.  
Head south along the road closest to the ocean and you'll find him when he starts shouting at you to let him out.

So ghoul babies should never age.  Dun Dun Dunnnnnn

Well that's true.  From a lore friendly perspective, ghouls should never have babies and ghoulified babies should never happen.

 

You can turn off ghoulification for babies in the MCM.  If you don't ever want ghouls to get pregnant, console " addformtoformlist XX017743 ActorTypeGhoul " where XX is the plugin index of FPE.  That adds the ghoul keyword to FPE's prohibited keywords list.  You can do the same with the AnimArchetypeElderly keyword to keep old people like Mama Murphy from getting knocked up.
