1st i thought it would more flavor to the game keep in mind that in the vanilla versions of the game would have different options depending on your races ethics, thus some also different dialogue even they may be the choice. Makes game play more interesting. think on how stellaris is different than civ 6. Thing that mere modifiers in civ and may provide a small cosmetic change. Would in stellaris change the entire flavor of the game.

2nd dick in cunt = straight / having dick in an ass while seeing another dick that belongs to same body that the ass belongs to = gay. Just keep in mind there are a lot of times especially in sfm where the balls cover the actual penetration or its at a certain angle, so you can't tell if its vaganal or anal. Many times this is compensated by the camera viewing the upper body only. try watching futa porn without the upper bodies and you might think the futa is a guy.

3rd hey if give anyone ideas on what to add to the mod like using the technical terms for imperial empires during event chains. Or even creating Hermaphrodite anomalies while scouting planets. (crew of a science vessel being kidnapped by hermaphrodite creatures.) Or hell even parts of our conversation to mimic the cultural shift of an empire.

1st I get what you mean and actually agree with the idea.

2nd Seems too straight forward but I get it. I just didn't ever think that futaXfemale are straight. I classified them as unique, same for futaXfuta as it is not really comparable to our "view of sex". But futaXmale was always gay for me. Hence why your comment caught my eye and made me think.
Also, some Futas do not have balls period. Depends on the artist yet it still happens.

3rd Glad we discussed the issue ?

Syncretic Evolution isn't available to certain government types, like Corporate.  I forget the others, but you should be able to find it, greyed out if you have other things preventing it, and see what the requirements are.

Not even seeing it in the list greyed out. Looks to be part of the Utopia DLC so I will need to get that.

please read comments between me and and -Sn

also (In biology, a hermaphrodite (/hɜːrˈmæfrədaɪt/) is an organism that has complete or partial reproductive organs and produces gametes normally associated with both male and female sexes. Many taxonomic groups of animals (mostly invertebrates) do not have separate sexes. ) this is what wikipiedia says and we are using it in this context as it is trait applied to an entire race/species

while Dickgirl, pussyboy don't have both organs and don't produce both gametes either. while traps, transsexual, are based on personal choices and orientation. they are not hermaphrodites.

besides, calling the hermaphrodites instead of futa and giving some biological context really does feel like they would actually belong in the game. It makes it more believable, better for more role play, we feel like this race could exist in real life, its not as bland.  We are having our cake and eating it too, rather just having a cake sit there.

Sorry, no. An easy RL example is the common clownfish (Amphiprioninae). This species is what is referred to as a sequential hermaphrodite. They're always born male, only producing male gametes. The oldest and most aggressive is always a female. Once the local female dies, the next male in line (typically the one breeding male) becomes fully female, and the next male behind them typically becomes the one breeding male. They are never both genders simultaneously, they're always one or the other, and still qualify as fully hermaphroditic.

(don't think about Finding Nemo too much unless you want to ruin childhoods)

This is not what futanari are. They are both genders simultaneously, and unless induced by outside force (magic, sci-fi tech, whatever), they are that way all their lives. As for the others I mentioned, they fall under a slightly different interpretation of hermaphrodite. Dictionary.com is what I generally use for definitions (no rando is capable of walking in and screwing with definitions there) and it has the definition as "a person or thing in which two opposite qualities are combined." If you consider more physical features than just genitals as typically male or female (chest, face, hips, etc), then you end up with far more concepts falling within the purview of hermaphrodite.

That's the key problem. "Hermaphrodite" is just too vague and covers far too much even when you follow scientific definitions. For a mod that is specifically intended to be overtly and openly sexualized as this, it needs to be specific.

(Protogynous hermaphrodites are animals that are born female and at some pointin their lifespan change sex to male. Protogyny is a more common form of sequential hermaphroditism, especially when compared to protandry. As the animal ages, it shifts sex to become a male animal based on internal or external triggers.) so clown fish on the the rare side. But still now we have two more simple worlds

Protogyny changes to male when they grow older

protandry changes to female when they get older.

now this can be made into a event. anomaly that can trigger and an event that can remove the all male and all female traits or even add the herm trait. Oh god the more we talk the more fun it gets and the more ideas and events people could come up the with. hell, lithia only the she added the trait cause people requested it. Sadly futa could only be a leader strait be it so specific. While a species would be considered Herms as the is it such a broad topic, perfect for role playing and completes back stories. I don't know why you are still replying cause im quite enjoying looking this information. besides by the end of it the events that I could write would look more like the base game, while showing exceptional polish.

I didnt get it. You are talking about "futa" or "hermaphrodite" trait, but i cant find it anywhere. Am i doing something wrong?

the "futa" trait is gonna be added in next update i would like it renamed "hermaphrodite" as it is a more general term that can be applied wider species/races. Plus with uses of prefixes such as larvous, Protogynous, masclinous, femenoius, sporous  including hermaphrodite allows us to create more in depth species.

Hominina = humans, the race we start with.

larvous Hominina = humans that are brood parasites

masclinous Hominina = humans that our only males

sporous Hominina = humans that reproduce by spores

hermaphroditous Hominina = humans that only have one gender

by adding an ending word we can also tell what climate it prefers.

larvous Hominina aqua = parasitic humans that like water

larvous Hominina tropica = parasitic humans that like jungle planets.

were playing with hybrid races and making new ones. just checking the species tab will be such as mess. If we called the 7 races i just listed "human"

And I'd say that generality is detrimental to roleplaying, not beneficial. Consider making a character in a fantasy setting. Which is better? Human with sword. Or Nordic man that inherited his grandfather's arming sword.

For me, I'd find the first to be just a block of wood that I'm not going to get attached to. I can't roleplay from that position, I need specifics to hook into. The thing is with all the traits it's possible to create in Stellaris, we can get as specific as we like (and that Lithia is willing to code). Heck, consider that the vanilla game already has a "Rapid Breeders" trait, which is even more generalized than every single trait this mod already has. It wasn't exactly conducive to RP, was it? Otherwise, what's this mod for?

i love how you ignored the naming example i gave. Plus this mods allows hybrids lots of hybrids having the trait renamed. having that simple change and using standard prefixes that allow you to know how it reproduces where it want to lives, better for when you need to move a pop and no cause chaos. well it really does not matter anyone can change the name, description of trait or disable it.  plus if some goes onto porn hub makes a stellaris play through with said changes. People with see how it will fit. Presentation can sway more people than facts.

Well, how about that. I was literally just thinking to myself "Hey, I should see if LV has updated."

Today is a good day.

Certainly some interesting changes I see on an initial glance. Would have to see them at work in game, but the modifiers do look a lot more balanced for their point costs. I'm guessing all of the job influences are for upcoming features though? Since I didn't see any new jobs in the files.

Was kind of hoping for a universal intercompatible trait (a species where both genders are compatible), but I'm guessing the changes to the mono-gender intercompatible traits and probably the vanilla game ascension perk are related to that?

Either way time to shuffle through my premade empires list and rebuild everything. ?

Edit: The one thing I'm a bit confused about is the Spiritualist/Materialist ethics draw on the Male/Female Only traits?

I have to admit changes are good and well implemented, adding them on population modifiers instead of "traits" is good idea, and using the already existing Xeno Intercompatibility trait too.

Now I wonder how would gonna work the Brood Parasitre, All males and All females.. ?

Had a thought, with the upcoming archeology expansion, do you think it might be possible to tie genetic traits to it? As in some traits are reliant on being found instead of them all being available at the beginning, I think it would make the genetic engineering techs more interesting and important. Also it would expand the gameplay aspect of the mod.

I have been poking around the code around the slavery system and purge mechanics and found something interesting.

Stellaris > Common > Species_Rights has files 03_Slavery_types and 04_purge_types. I am not confident enough to start messing with the code itself without breaking the game, but is it theoretically possible to insert new slavery and purge types into these files?

So do I just remove the !! marks and overwrite to update?

No don't do that...just delete the old version and install the new one.

It will probably be possible, dependent on exactly how much they don't leave hard coded anyway.

Unfortunately they intentionally left species rights mostly hard coded. You can rename and slightly alter the existing ones...but not add new ones.

Aw, I was hoping it would be HARD and not outright impossible. To bad.
