There is a file in 'mod\lustful void\common\buildings' named '08_unity_buildings_lv_overwrites.txt'.  This file overwrites the Temple, Holotemple, Sacred Nexus, Sacrificial Temple, Grim Holotemple, Temple of Grand Sacrifice, and Citadel of Faith to add Concubine jobs.  This is what is breaking the Temples.

 

Fortunately, this is pretty easy to fix.  Just go to your main Stellaris folder (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stellaris) and navigate to 'Stellaris\common\buildings\' and then copy '08_unity_buildings.txt'.  You want to copy this file into 'mods\lustful void\common\buildings'.  Then it's just a matter of going through the old Lustful Void file, finding the lines that add the concubines for each building and adding those to the file you copied.  When everything is done, just save it as "08_unity_buildings_lv_overwrites.txt' and delete any other files in the directory that start with '08_unity_buildings'.

 

Alternatively, if you don't want to use concubines then you can just delete the file instead, which saves a bit of time and stuffing around.

 

This is the file I was talking about earlier. E&CC modifies the same file this one does and makes LV incompatible.

There's a weird compatibility issue on Tentacle Symbiosis start, if you choose to be a xenophobe your civilization can't get tentacle world seeding nor the benefit of having tentacle blockers on planets even though that's their preferred environment. There should probably be some workaround for those 2 techs or tentacle symbiosis should prevent choosing xenophobe civic since it doesn't really make sense as is.

Tentacles have never been working 100% correctly as I recall.  They have always had some issue one way or the other even when they did fire.

I mean they are hilariously broken and OP but still, that seems like an easy enough fix

A suggestion for later versions.

Since a lot of problems in Stellaris is related to the number of pops, maybe replace flat pop growth with pop stat multiplication to represent growing numbers? Something like a dynamic "Population Density" modifier, per planet, that grants +X to all research/production and consumption, and have all other sex traits work primarily (but not exclusively) with the growth of that modifier's value(s) instead of pops.

 

Like so:

lv_pop_density_change = {
 every_owned_planet = {
  LVDENSITY = lv_pop_density_modifier
  LVPROD = @\[ planet_jobs_produces_mult * $LDVENSITY$ ]

That's a really interesting idea, and I expect that it would improve performance pretty substantially over the length of a full game.

Not related to the game, but I've been thinking. If there are aliens, could they perhaps evolve us from non-sapients to what we are today? Isn't that really freaky? But... we still doesn't have any proof there are aliens. Except Bob Lazar's alien probes. Probably they are extinct now, and we are alone in this reality.

That could very well be the case, impossible to confirm or disprove at this point.

I reported this in the LV additional things thread as well (since I use that as well) but since the latest update the buildings can't be upgraded after you build the first level.  The Buildings involved are Brothel and Red Light District (for LV Additional Things it's Brothel, Comfort Zones, and Incubation/Impregnation Center)

That makes sense considering the mod hasnt been updated for the current patch

while we wait for the author to update the mod this patch fixes things to work with the current version... mostly

Is it really the number of pops or is it more then 'animation' on the pictures for the number of pops?  I know in the species screen it's all about the movie pictures it tries to load and fails at miserably at heavy levels.

The game slows down even when you are not watching pictures, so no.

I think it's more about the game trying to collect all the pop information when you open the species screen.

It's not the updated version since we don't have that yet.

At least that has been the cause with similar problems previously.

If you are Running ISBS Living Systems, then you need to remove it as the two mods don't play together right as of now.

brothels and dairy buildings can't be upgraded. i have all the resources and upgraded the capital to the max, and still nothing.

any idea why?

Yes, the mod has a descriptor, but the mod has not been updated yet. The paradox Launcher has a tendency to screw up the descriptor files and you need to follow these steps to fix it.

 

  1. Quit Stellaris and Stellaris (Paradox) Launcher
  2. Unsubscribe from all mods. Stellaris Workshop -> Your files (under your avatar) -> Subscribed items - > Unsubscribe From All .
  3. Quit Steam
  4. Go to SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\281990 and delete everything.
  5. Go to (C:\Users\%username%\)Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellarisand delete the following files:
    1. dlc_load.json
    2. game_data.json
    3. launcher-v2.sqlite
    4. mods_registry.json
    5. everything inside last_mods={ } in settings.txt
  6. Restart Steam.
  7. Open Paradox launcher.
  8. Close Paradox launcher.
  9. Resubscribe to your mods.
  10. WAIT UNTIL ALL DOWNLOADS ARE DONE. DO NOT START PARADOX LAUNCHER UNTIL DOWNLOADS ARE COMPLETE.
  11. Start Paradox Launcher.
  12. Close Paradox launcher.
  13. Download Irony Mod Manager and never use Paradox Launcher again. Easily order and swap mods in and out, change collections easily, share load orders with copy-paste or export/import, resolve conflicts (wiki).

 

Step 13 is the most important step you will ever follow. Live it love it and forget the Paradox Launcher. I'll say it again, the only problems I have ever had with Irony Mod Manager are the ones I created fucking with code I didn't fully understand.
