I'm going to kick it with the next update. It is a good mod, but it bloats the crafting screens and can be a bit fickle. Then all the patches on top of it. 1

VXDraco Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I don't usually post in forums but this problem has been driving me crazy. I've been trying to add more Overlays to Race Menu / Slave Tats so I can have more body paint options at the same time. Searching around I found that I had to edit my "NiOverride.ini" file, but I don't have one. A bit more searching and I find that it's now been changed to "skee64.ini". Sure enough the options I needed to edit are in there. When I edited those values though, there was no change in game. Then I noticed that in that file the "body" section was set to 6, in game I only get 3 slots though. On a long shot I tried copying and renaming that "skee64.ini" file to see if it would make any difference. Nothing. Am I missing something here? Do any other files edit the number of body paint options? My game is otherwise quite stable, I just want more body paint options. Any ideas @Aylis? (Nice guide btw, thanks)

VXDraco Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 From what I can tell Slave Tats seems to create an easy way to apply the body paint options in Race Menu, I might be wrong though. With you using Race Menu I figured I'd ask here first, seen as though I've been lurking this page for a while. It's been really useful. I think I'm gonna try a fresh install, maybe I messed something up at some point, if not I'll ask around on some of the mod pages. I am modding on everything on Linux though so maybe there is something I've overlooked at some point. Cheers.

I also use body paint and ended up going another route. I used paint.net to overlay the multiple bodypaint sets that I wanted to use into one file, then added some files and folders to the Slavetats directory to be able to use them through the MCM. It sounds a lot more complicated that it really is. Basically just create another folder under Slavertats in SlaveTats\Textures\Actors\Character\slavetats. Drop your new warpaint file into the folder you created. Then create a file labeled mywarpaint.json (or whatever you'd like for it to be called) in the same SlaveTats\Textures\Actors\Character\slavetats directory and mirror the settings found in "basic.json", changing the folder name to your new folder name and the paint names to whatever your paints are called. i.e. for your newly-made hand warpaint, it would be: [ {"name": "MyWarpaint (Hands)", "section":"mywarpaint", "texture":"mywarpaint\\my_warpaint_hands.dds", "area":"Hands"} ] In that example "MyWarPaint (Hands)" will be the title of the paint in the Slavetats MCM, "mywarpaint" is the name of the folder containing your custom paint, and "my_warpaint_hands.dds" is the name of the file you created for your new hand warpaint. Again, sounds more complicated than it actually is. Also, be aware that changing that value in skee64.ini to something higher than the default has the potential to make racemenu more unstable. That's another reason I just combined my custom paint.

I tinkered with the one for Aylis for around two days and i hope i never ever have to do that again.

Do we just put the .esp patch itself under Weather and put everything other than that up top? 1

The OA of Authentic Mountains and Rocks just labeled the problem 'Not a bug' and then closed the bugreport after i told her which of her files were causing the problem... So no help (aka fixed files) coming from that side. Then it comes down to my solution... Trotf Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I've just finished installing all the mods and updated your latest changes and dependencies but am getting two annoying CTDs. The first one when trying to enter the inn in Riverwood (all other buildings work). After 2 seconds the loading screen freezes and then the game crashes. I wanted to check if the same happens in Whiterun but I didn't get that far. When I try to cross the small bridge shortly after the stables the game immediately CTDs. Has anyone experienced something similar? I installed pretty much everything except the ENB and all scriptheavy or as FPS marked mods since my graphic card is not the best.

Aylis Posted April 9, 2020 Author Posted April 9, 2020 @Trotf These sort of problems usually are related to missing/broken meshes and/or the skeleton. Textures are possible but that is rather rare. Scripts are not handled by the GPU. So they won't matter in that regard. You did read the entry 'Hardware' in post #6, right? Another thing is that some mods in the list were made for the use with an ENB. That might, don't know for sure as i always use one, become a problem if you don't have an ENB installed. 1
slough_monster Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I have an update on a couple of the bugs I was seeing. Might help you @Trotf. The first bug was that in the vanilla beginning scene, either the female captain or Hadvar (or whatever his name is), would be completely missing, seemingly depending on the gender of my PC. It seems it has to do with the legion armor replacer mod. if you look in the posts, there is this: Quote A head's up for anyone using this, the Guard Armor Replacer (GAR), Immersive Armors (IA), and Royal Armory (RA): P.S. Also using Alternate Start, not sure how this works with normal vanilla start. Starting the game with all enabled will cause issues. If you disable the IA Imperial Armors then try to go into the game some characters (like Legate Rikke and Tullius) will have the IA armor, and the RA weapon b/c RA uses a quest script (it creates a quest to inject the weapons then completes the quest) which replaces the armor of the npcs and reverts it to IA armor. The way I found to fix this is to load your game without RA active in your plugin order. Do the IA configuring. And then save and quit without doing anything else. Activate RA, and then go into game and let RA run its script. You'll know it's done b/c the quest will show you it completing by saying "Completed: Add items via script" Then you can choice your start and you can play. You can't just use "Resetinventory" b/c that deletes their RA weapon since it resets their inventory to what this mod makes it A note about IA and this mod: Don't choose the start to be in the war if you have these three mods I've mentioned. This is b/c after doing the IA config, the npcs won't be updated and still have their IA armor. If you do a start somewhere else (ex. Own the Markarth house) then go to the respective commanders (Tullius & Rikke or Ulfric & Galmar) then they will have their respective Imperial or Stormcloak armor. (Although Stormcloaks seem to be ok, I'm still mentioning them just in case.) ~ForcefulMocha I did as he recommended, and tada, all the NPCs are there as they should be. The second issue (which might be related to @Trotf) I had was that I was crashing at Dragon Mounds and twice seemingly unrelated to location (once by white run, and once outside the abandoned prison. The repeatable one was the dragon mounds, and this actually took me a while. At one point I was convinced it was also gender related, as it was only happening to my male characters, but that unhappy coincidence. It turned out that I only crashed in rainy weather and that the female characters had sunny weather and the males rainy. It has to do with installing your True Storms patches correctly. Make sure that you have selected ONLY ONE of the 4 options (I am actually not sure what I selected the first time. the plugin I had said it was luminous and I only had one plug in, but I might have chosen luminous twice), AND you also need to select the patch for Audio Overhaul. Or at least that is what worked for me. What worked for me was the alternate spectral patch (alt. patch includes the water fix, I may end up liking having all the fog and go back to no water fix). @Trotf, If you are having the same crashes as me, is it only happening in rainy weather? If not, then I don't know. My crashes were also almost non-existent, I had two instances, other than dragon mounds. I have no idea why the weather and the dragon mounds hated each other. It also only happened (but was very very repeatable) when I walked directly across the middle of the mound. If I just circled around it, no problems. 1

I assume this is because he starts the character creation (which you already did in AS). Spoiler As he appears later, after the run through the burning houses, i don't think thats a real problem. Just not perfect... On the other hand i don't get why AS gets installed only to use the normal start anyway. In that case i'd skip AS completely and not install it at all. ? @jaeos Hehe, you fell for it. ? That seven belongs to the compression 7z. It got nothing to do with the version of the file (but sometimes i got to take a second look too). Will check the inn. Just in case... €: Nothing unusual there. Can you give me some names?

I wondered why no preset showed up after removing 1.0 and installing 1.1, I renamed the "Aylis 1.1" to "Aylis 1.1.jslot" like the 1.0 version and it was there again. One bug(?) that I encountered since (Aylis Preset) version 1.0 is when loading the preset in RaceMenu, you can see the changes applied to the character, but only sometimes the skin color updates to a slightly darker tone (as intended i think), sometimes it stays at the skin color level that was set before loading the preset (on a female breton). In that case I just keep loading in the preset until it updates correctly. I wanted to add the new 4.1 stage to the 3BBB installation instructions but it seems you've already updated it I'm still trying out a lot of stuff, but so far I'm really happy with the results your modding guide provides. After that I pressed + on my numpad, 3BBB physics activated and i was like oh, NOW I get it I also deactivated all the wetness stuff in the newest ENB, my character was showing a very, very glossy and reflecting skin (indoors) like she just bathed in oil... took me a bit so find the settings but now I'm happy again 1
