Hello everyone !

 

First I must thank you so much ! I couldn't have done such an amazing skyrim by myself ❤️ !

And damn so many updates u.u ^^ I want to restart over now... but I don't wanna lose my save ?

 

Second : help me please ? I don't know what to do : I'm super anoyed by the surrender mechanic... "hit from the back" "strong attack makes you drop your weapon" "enemy surrender"... fun once in a while, maybe if it happend only 1 out of 1000 fights but idk why it happen every 2 fights

So I try to disable the options in the "Defeat" mod, disable it completly, remove it AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING ? 

Any idea on how to fix it ? :3

My only addition to your list, a must have in my opinion, no issue to report with 20h game time with it.

Not tested, with AFT I have the "group every horses I own" option and the followers ride near horses I don't use so...

I just setav speedmult 140 of my horses to not be slower than on foot ^^

I'm only looking for an ultimate achievement room, the one in Elianora's Breezhome is fine, but a lot is missing...

This one seems to be the holy grail, but does so much more

Yep, i pushed a bit hard on the updates. But the last one was simply long overdue and the one before that more a hotfix (to prevent issues later on). It should be way slower from now on. The next thing will be a file update for the bodyslides, but that will not interfere with the normal game.

 

That might be because of Morrowloot. You got to be very careful for around 10-15 level (depends on the playstyle). The power attacks of the enemies are very powerful. My little Breton is running a lot (finding a lvl 65 enemy and you're just lvl. 5 mussweg.gif.dd085529f53ddb7f9856985619b3775a.gif) and picking her fights very very carefully. ;)

 

Now to the suggestions:

AFT simply is not my cup of tea. Tried it and didn't like it.

 

Convenient horses. I'll take a look at it.

 

Legacy of the Dragonborn SSE. That was a mod i had in my first run. I found it simply too big and decided against using it.

 

Skyrim Hair Replacer caused quite a few black faces in my testruns. 

 

Delphine makeover. Nice find! I'll take a look at it.

 

 

Edit: Almost forgot it. Train a bit with the training dummies. The mod for them is in the list for a good reason...

I don't think.... What drived me crazy was a brawl with 3 "Thugs" lvl 12, when I exited the blue palace as a thane (lvl 40).

I couldn't get one down without getting disarmed (yeah, on a barehand bralw) or "pushed to the ground" or "suprised hit"...

I had to console "kill" two of them, then try and retry and retry to get the last one down without him to "surrender" and blocking me for completing the event

My actual problem is that I removed the "sexlab defeat" mod and the surrenders keeps happening !

Yeah the fights get quickly chaotic... But with friendlyfire off, it can be fun ("Join the guild ? I AM the guild ?" )

Like the missmatch colors face/body ? Theses are the worst... ? ... discouraged me of modding more than once.

Sadly i have no idea what else it could be. I'll take a look at the list but for now nothing springs to mind...

 

A 'black face' is the worst that can happen. You think you got them all and then, in one of the furthest corners of Skyrim, you find another one. And the fixes can have an effect somewhere else... Rinse and repeat.

Two other testruns were successfull:

Rieklings In Skyrim SE 1.2                               (I like the little buggers)

Ammo Unequip on Sexlab Animations 1.02  (Fixes one big annoyance)

  

Adding them to post #1499 (Done) and the list (Done).

 

The last 6 mods will take some time (havn't gotten far enough). Tomorrow i'll start working on the FOMOD for the bodyslides. That one will also take some time so please be patient.

I noticed that the Skyrim Flora Overhaul Cut and Skyrim 3D Plants Cut files are not available anymore, should they be removed from the list?

Looks like he dropped another two mods for Whiterun.

 

JK's The Bannered Mare will be added to post #1499 (Done) and the list (Done).

 

JK's Dragonsreach is a little bit off. Hopefully he's open to suggestions (then it would be a no-brainer too).

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Breezehome came up next.

The thing is he could actually pull it off. He's one of the very few modders who is capable enough to do so.

Ever saw something and had the feeling something is off but can't say exactly what it is? Thats what i get checking the coastal area. Luxor made a few changes to his textures (which i approve), but still... Something doesn't feel right...

I CANNOT get used to Improved Camera. It's working fine and all, but the movements are so jerky. And it doesn't like switching out of first person to third person for the Violens kill moves. JoP is pretty blah, but as someone with very bad motion sickness, Ima stick with it for now.

I was away from Skyrim LE for a time and never got into SE with no SKSEE. Now that I have the time I decided to try your tutorial I have a few points I'd like to share ?

 

First it is a great idea to do that and I cannot believe how much effort you put in to maintain this tutorial! ?

And before I start I'd want to mention that I am no stranger to Skyrim (LE) modding, with thousands of hours playing and modding Skyrim LE.

 

So here my suggestions:

 

Use LOOT:

 

I don't know why you have problems with LOOT but it is a life saver for me - I did your complete install, with your load order and setup and everything and 1st thing ingame I get error messages about some load-order issues. Ok no problem rearrange by hand and it works... or so I thought... after setting up mods and advancing from the ASLAL cell the game crashes when opening inventory or doing other stuff.

So I made a load-order backup, downloaded latest LOOT and let it run:

Dirty mods (ITM and deleted NavMeshes), incompatible mods, missing compatibility patches, obsolete esp's - And that is to be exspected with mods being maintained continuesly and that is where LOOT and the people behind it really shine! Your tutorial and install order -> esp order may work for a time but if you add or change anything it is almost impossible to keep track of all mods patches etc. 

But if you run LOOT it tells you and make suggestions what to do to make it viable.

 

Make a bashed patch:

 

To be honest before I got back to using LOOT I tried to make a bashed patch to get all that fancy armors and items into the LeveledLists. Immediatly I got error messages about missing masters (which I looked and cleaned up through MO plugin manager). I let it run anyway (as I could not see any missing masters), but at the next step Dyndolod didn't want to run with my bashed patch. 'Screw it' - I let it run without it... aaaaand still crashing (with or without bashed patch).

To sum this up, I did run LOOT cleaned my dirty mods, deactivated others, was able to run the basher without errors, and Dyndolod with the bash patch and the games runs stable now and all only possible because LOOT helped me unscrew things ?

I can see that it may seem easier or at least beeing more in control doing it by hands, but with 260 esp's...

 

At the minimum LOOT gives you more information to solve issues and I didn't need to reorder anything (this time) by hand (custom rules).

Right. . . So, let me break this down for you in 3 points: 1) You're an idiot. 2) Your problems did not come from this mod list, they came from all the extra mods you added to your game. 3) LOOT worked for you? Congratulations! You're the exception, not the rule. Allow me to explain.

 

The reason why you are not supposed to use LOOT with this mod list is because it is ALREADY SORTED. So you don't need to use LOOT. It is a very stable list as is. The only time things tend to go wrong, is when a mod either 1) updates and screws up something else, 2) a mod has a bad install, 3) you add your own mods to the list. The fact that you have 260 esps tells me you did number 3. The fact that you had incompatible mods, missing patches, and obsolete ESPs, tells me you probably didn't read all the details on those extra mods. I know this, because for the sake of arguement, I ran LOOT on my own mod list (currently 536 mods), which is based on Aylis' well put together list, and came up with only 5 minor, non game breaking errors, and only 2 or 3 of those came from this mod list. So, don't go blaming other people when you break your own mod list. 

 

Now, as for bash patching, I will remind you of the name of this thread: Skyrim SE for BEGINNERS. BE-GIN-NERS. Bash patching is not a beginner level tool to be using. Also, with this list, bash patching is NOT NECESSARY! Again, you ran into problems not from this list, but from the shit you added to this list, which again, I get the distinct impression that you didn't read all the instructions for. 

 

A final word on LOOT. LOOT does have its advantages, and it is getting better, but it is not the holy grail of fixing mod lists. As I put down in another guide, Loot can work very well in smaller, simpler lists, but as they get more and more complicated, LOOT can do more harm than good. LOOT can help you sort out problems yes, but it is not going to solve all of your problems. And again, this list is already sorted for compatibility, so you use LOOT at your own risk. 

 

Now, if you are having a specific issue with the mod list, by all means, post the question here and we will be happy to answer it. If you are just going to shit talk, don't expect warm fuzzy feelings in reply. Specially when it involves LOOT. LOOT has few friends around here. 

 

So, to recap: Don't blame others for your own screw-ups, Read the documentation on the mods you add to your list, do not use LOOT with this list, and don't shit post.

It will definitely be interesting to see what he comes up with if he does redo breezehome. 

 

On a side note, i'm having a weird crashing issue with the random sex mod. Every time it tries to start up an animation, NPC/NPC mostly, it causes the game to lock up badly. Not sure where it's coming from yet, so I am wondering if you ran into a similar issue during testing?

Definitely, or he does the hall of the companions (always have trouble with that name ?).

 

Hmmm, i was using random sex in the beginning and it always worked fine. Someone (i think it was Advisor) recommended ABMM instead and i've been using that one as it is treated like an ESL (which i very much prefer).

Random sex - quite aggressive / lots of 'stuff' going on

ABMM         - more subtle

Looks like i have to recheck it again...

Found what was 'wrong' with the coastline. Luxor doesn't cover all of the landscape textures. 'Noble Skyrim' is good, but that mod is only there to fill the gaps of the other texture packs. So far 'Tamrielic Textures SE 1 - Landscapes' is my favourite for the missing landscapes.

 

Lanterns Of Skyrim II seems to be a bit problematic. I modified the ini of Rudy to get a smoother game (aka no lag anymore), with LoS II that is back again. Got to see if there's something i can do about it. 

 

SLHH didn't really work, but Sexlab Approach Redux does. It is a pain to set up and needs a few more tests. But it is looking good so far.

 

Btw. the upgrade to Rudy ENB 4.0 was worth it (still used the one for 366). Looking VERY good.

 

Also refound one mod i totally forgot about (nothing that important) and another one i thought was already in the list. Those will come with the next update.

Hey again! I did the setup over again because I wanted to make sure I did it right. However there are too things I can't make work. First the guide tells us to move all esm's to the top, however MO2 will refuse to adjust the Sexlab attraction esm to be on top. It will go as high as the esl files, but not above esl files. Do you know if this is a bug of MO2? Also, regarding the step to create SLIF overwrite, it tells me MO2 will generate them after the first run, is this first run refering to the first run of skyrim or some other file? Because right now Skyrim is still crashing, but I have not done any of the required stuff for Dyndolod yet ^^ Thanks in advance! and keep up the good work! :D

The sexlabattraction.esm doesn't seem to be a normal ESM. The name isn't in bold (thats how you recognize them in MO2) so it is propably just an ESP which was renamed. So handle it like an ESP and let it stay in the normal order.

 

Will add that to the description. (Done) Thanks for bringing it up.

 

 

SLIF is a strange one. If you already have the folder simply delete the content.

Sometimes you got an update in overwrite, then again you don't. I think it is somehow connected to changes in the loadorder and addition/removal of mods. Anyway it will rebuild itself when it is needed (and then you should make a mod out of it).

 

 

Regarding the ESL. I hope you only did the ESL and not the ESP which got the flag to be handled like an ESL. Those should stay in the loadorder as they were. If you did then disable them all (see pic) and manually enable them again. (Might have to mention that in 'Installation')

I used something like that INI Tweeks a thousand years ago. May have even been that one, probably something like it for Oldrim. When I got on horseback or ran as a werewolf it was like being held above the ground and shaken by a very large man. But I'm the kind of person that can play a VR game for maybe fifteen minutes before actually throwing up.

I don't think name-calling is very helpful. Someone didn't follow the instructions laid out in the guide. This doesn't indicate a lack of intelligence. I myself use dozens of additional mods not on this list that at times clash with it. So I tweaked things, found workarounds, and still have a very stable build. As Aylis has stated many times in this thread, asking questions and bringing up concerns--valid or not--is part of why the list exists in the first place.

I believe the guide says that you can use LOOT for checking for errors but not to use it for sort order. I'm willing to bet that would have fixed your original problems without too much of a hassle. I've started from scratch with this mod list twice for two different machines. Both times I have used LOOT at the beginning to look at the recommended tweaks to make to the base game files and those have been the only changes I've made, and both times I had a stable build. After that initial install, I haven't ran it since. I go through every once in a while (maybe like every month) and make sure my load order matches the list, then add any additional mods to the end of each section (additional armor mods at the end of that part of the guide, additional override mods at the end of that section, etc.). YMMV of course, but I've had success that way.

Some mods have weird ESMs and ESLs. The Unofficial Skyrim Creation Club Content Patch for example, has all ESLs, but MO2 flags them as ESMs for some reason. They are ESLs as they do not count towards ESM + ESP limit, but MO2 still classifies them as ESMs in the plugin list. Usually, you just put them in the list as best you can according to what their name says they are, and if they need to be moved somewhere else, MO2 will do it for you when you try to move them. 

 

The first time you start Skyrim with the SKSE in MO2, it will generate some files in the Overwrite folder. These are the files that go into the SLIF override.

OK, then i'll have to find a way to integrate JoP back in and have to write an entry about the differences. I'll think of something how to handle it.

 

Btw did you test Immersive First Person View? This might be another option for you.

Found a bug with the combination of SSE PaintedLady ColorMatchPubicHairs and Fertility Mode. The pubic hair doesn't react to changes of the body. It is 'only' looking strange but i'm already looking for a better solution.

Got something that might work even better. Although it would make some work i did for my skin obsolete... Testing now (Seems not to work with 3BBB as others now reported).

 

Note to myself:

Never ever crank up the propabilities of 'Approach' to extreme levels, forget to reset the test settings, and enter the guard barracks in search of another shard...
