RitualClarity Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 No, he's merely following Bethesda. Watering down The Elder Scrolls to appeal to a wider community, ruin what made us unite together in the first place, but ultimately this greedy desire will be his undoing in due time. Because what he has is merely an ivory tower being built and he will be at the top of it. Alone. Meanwhile everyone else will have moved on, and only those too fanatic will stay. That is what he wants. A loyal fanatic following. That is what his actions show time and time again. The older and more successful Nexus becomes the more he shows this. He don't care about those that aren't interested in his view or desires. He only wants his views poised on the world. He now has the power and he is using it. What will likely occur in the future is the quest for power will consume him. He will continue to try to control the world that he has made only to slowly watch it crumble as he tries to shore up the "ivory tower" he has created. In the end it will crumble down upon those "fanatics" that follow him with him falling down on top of them in a jumbled mess of Ivory, blood, bone and tendons.
CoxcombCornking Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Is it wrong that I was aroused by those censored paper dolls? Also, took the liberty of blocking those man nipples. The kids are finally safe!
RitualClarity Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 WHAT!!! A dude cannot be without a shirt Nexus!!!!! They will all now be required to have nipple stickers to be posted in any non adult section!!
VictoriaG Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Yes that new system is now in place, you can be banned from seeing the author's mod pages therefore downloading all their mods globally, as it is you need to have a comment on one of their files or one of their images for them to be able to add you to the ban list, although I guess if their mods are small you could just simply log out to get the mod.

Rayblue Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I had a breakfast table epiphany this morning and it finally sank in what Dark0ne is doing to Nexus concerning his skewed view of what is or is not adult material. He is taking a game forum that centers on Rated M for Mature games and is making it safe for Rated T for Teen users. No wonder the grown ups are irked at him. If that'll be the policy now, looks like we'll use this for risque screencap uploading, except registration is required. And of course, the Japanese site. Yessir, he must be off his rocker.
mojodajojo Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Here's a cartoon representation of debating something with Robin. http://youtu.be/GL9SNw_1NP0?t=25m46s

mojodajojo Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 You should upload that shit and watch Dark0ne flip out about how we just don't understand his troubles.
PsychoMachina Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I'm sure if someone did just that, darkone will shoehorn some new rule about being facetious is grounds for banning and make it retro-active.
VexPopuli Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I think this is a desease, least in America, where we decide to respect all point of views by alienating them completely. That's the paradox of taking down anything that offends someone else, that something will always offend someone. We also like to label everything, but hate to be labeled - just like people like to be exception to the rules but hate when others skate by as well. Bottom line; there is jsut a real lack of maturity in this country and I really get sick of it on a daily basis.
Dr Bob Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I'm sad to add that the same is true for many countries around the world.
GrimReaper Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 The whole "no nudity" thing nexus has going on is absurd now, but not so much if you know the history of the whole affair. Back in the old days, the nexus image section was flooded with pics that just showed a nude character. Honestly, the nexus looked like a bad porn website and not like a place where you could grab modifications for your favourite games. Over time the rules got more and more restrictive, mostly because users are smart when they need to be and they found loopholes. No explicit material? 'kay, imma just use the game's environment to censor the delicate parts. So instead of completely nude characters you saw completely nude characters that were covered by some sort of tiny objects like twigs, leaves and brushes. I'm not a fan of overly strict rules and I think they will only get you so far without alienating your userbase. That colored paperdoll was the response to the loopholes that were used every time the rules got more and more strict.

Misplaced Reality Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I hope we all understand that there's no need to be silly about showing what parts are acceptable and what aren't. Being too specific about the rules is stupid. However saying "Nudity on image uploads isn't allowed unless the image is marked as adult; be warned that images will be removed without further warning." would have made more sense than painting areas and zones to say what is OK and what isn't. If people don't read the rules then they don't read them, and that's when banhammer happens.
Victoria K. Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I'm amazed to see Kendo banned. He has creativity, his mods are well made and enjoyable. Love his concept of raiders outfits and greatly improved my game experience; knowing his works have been removed is quite unpleasant. They make things hard for their own users, they didn't any favor to them with this ban. Now it will be difficult for many to discover such mods. Hope this community will continue to grow stronger and stronger, it seems like nexus is helping a lot cause of their policy. It's not a very smart move to ban top assets. Moreover, if the problem concerns the attitudes alone, it's plain stupid to forbid access completely, modding has nothing to do with internal wars and moderators struggling for supremacy. In the worst case scenario (behaving really bad and being utterly rude) could be of use to give inhibition for comments and discussions, leaving alone the modding part, granting the ability to upload and update. But this is not even the case, this is just seems mismanagement and being incompetent.

It may be an impressive mod, but it has game-breaking bugs. To attach Kendo's name to something like that is just asshole-ish. It was for Obl. I don't wanna say what it was......if he wishes to comment, then it's all him. What's worse, some people have been arguing with him here already. wtf? He's the type of guy who would post his actual face on his profile pic. He released a ton of stuff here right away. He's got my respect. All he wanted to do was help...to contribute... (sigh...what's wrong with you Nexus?)
