Typically, maintenance in a new game will be done in about thirty seconds, and is much faster when loading a save. Test in a new game or a COC game and see if this is a problem with your current save. Enable papyrus logging and the Aroused Creatures > General Settings > Debug option, try to invite a creature, then post the log here. Hopefully this will show us what's happening. Please make sure that the installation instructions have been followed. Especially regarding antivirus and the install location for the game. AV and Windows UAC can have serious impacts on modding by deleting, blocking, or even corrupting files and preventing complex mods like SLAC working properly. Sorry for late reply, but I have just tried starting a new save, the maintenance part is now complete, hope it all works now, thank you very much for your help, appreciate it. 1

I didnt even add or enable any other mods, and like before this mod is the only one i have, along with other of its requirements and recommended mods. Any help is appreciated. Could you enable Aroused Creatures MCM > General Settings > Debug and post a papyrus log from a session in which this issue is encountered? It may help identify the source of the problem.
Dm0n Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 Hello! Read stuff (p.43-44) about having issues with spriggans/atronachs. Turning off match creature genders helped. Yay! Funny thing is, this feature is only needed exatcly for this creatures. 🤪. Maybe Slate (creature patch will help).
effrenatus Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 (edited) Requirements sais, Aroused Creatures v4.13 requires PapyrusUtil SE v4.0 but it seems there is only Version 3.9 for Skyrim 1.5.97 Does that mean, (there is no v4.12) that Aroused Creatures v4.11 is the Dead End for normal SSE users? T-T Pls no. EDIT: I saw your answer that v4.15 should work with 1.5.97 but still i leave my question here, focusing on the PapyrusUtil version discrepancy... Can you comment on that? Thank you! Animations for female creatures must be made specifically for that race and sex. Old SL and SL animations treated all creatures as a single, third sex, so there was no real distinction. And the game itself often did not bother having two sexes for each race (technically two races), so you will also need mods that add female races. Ultimately, using female creatures requires more effort. The Creature Summoner mod from the More Nasty Critters downloads provides spells for spawning specifically female creatures that should work with SL's gender matching. But you will still need specifically female creature animations. Alas, creature sex is not determined by animation tags, but instead is baked into the SL animation registry. Also, in-game tag editing is not supported in SexLab P+, and likely won't be. 1

The new functions added in PU v4.0 are used from SLAC v4.13 to streamline the Aroused Creatures MCM > Allowed Creatures configuration, making processing the lists quicker. In SLAC v4.15 a measure was added to skip these functions for users on older Skyrim builds who were seeing errors and reduced functionality. You shouldn't really notice a difference if you are using the most up-to-date version. 1

The screenshot link is not working. This sounds like an installation issue. Ensure that the instructions have been followed. Particularly critical are the installation location and antivirus configuration. Redownload the mod and use 7zip to check that the downloaded mod archive is whole and uncorrupted (right-click > 7zip > Test Archive). Reinstall and ensure that nothing is overriding any of its files. If there is still an issue, we'll need to look at a papyrus log.
effrenatus Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Hello! In my game there are more and more naked NPCs, and i observed that this is the result from them getting aggressively taken by creatures. I am not sure but it could be that it is only in pursuit scenarios, and might be only if i leave the place (like going through city gate or entering/leaving a building) *during* their sexual act. I am tempted to connect it to the pursuit, because my player character also ends up naked iirc. if she can struggle free from the animal. My auto engage setting is: Creature Arousal needed only. I have recently upgraded to version 4.11 . I am wondering: Is that somewhat intended or... hmm could it be that some script of the old version 4.11 is still stuck?

Make sure the SexLab MCM > Animation Settings > Victims Re-Dress option is enabled. Check that nothing is overriding the Aroused Creatures mod files. Test in a new game. If it works normally there, then there is likely a configuration issue in the save. If there is still an issue, we'll need to look at a papyrus log for a game with the Aroused Creatures MCM > General Settings > Debug option enabled. When passing through a load screen, any active pursuits and animations should automatically conclude and clean up as they would without the load screen.

Thank you, just a clarificiation: I did have a dog following me inside a house and jump me for once, but what i ment here was the resulting sex acts which were still going on when i went through the load screen.

There can be minor problems if something asynchronous, like opening a door or activating a crafting station, is started just after an SL scene involving the PC is triggered. In my experience, SL should eventually figure out something is wrong, stop the animation and fire all the relevant events. It's not pretty, but should not cause serious issues. I don't think this would contribute to any long term problems with actors re-dressing. Active SL scenes involving only NPCs should stop automatically and immediately after the loading screen. SLAC does handle some of the stripping by using SL strip/unstrip functions directly. This is to prevent actors constantly dressing and undressing between queued aniamtions. So it is possible that something has gone wrong with this. To know, I would need to look at a papyrus log from a session with the SLAC Debug option enabled. Since these functions are SL-based, it is important to check the SL configuration for problems. Also ensure that nothing is overriding the SL files that might be causing problems. 2

Thank you again for the explanations and for pointing me to those MCM options. Not sure when that misclick must have happened, but SL Victims Redress was indeed turned off. Sorry for the trouble with something that simple. ^^ But now i understand the dependencies better; Wasn't aware that human and creature rape uses the same. 1
Sailing Rebel Posted April 6, 2025 Author Posted April 6, 2025 Just uploaded SexLab Aroused Creatures SE v4.16. The main reason for this update is to add a compatibility option for Naked Defeat v5.1 or later. This option is enabled by default if a compatible version of Naked Defeat is installed. It will filter out actors involved in ND activity to avoid breaking things. Thanks to @Nymra for helping to get this implemented. There are also a number of bug fixes and minor improvements. The significant ones are a fix for missing bribe/intimidate/persuade dialogue option for NPCs, and a fix for script errors from DHLP suspension mod events. There has also been some paring down of key press event capturing when they are not specifically required, this should improve performance, but at a level that is unlikely to be noticeable in healthy games. SexLab Aroused Creatures SE v4.16 (40037) (2025-04-05): Added: Option to prevent engagement for actors involved Naked Defeat activity. Enabled by default if Naked Defeat is installed. Requires Naked Defeat version 5.1 or later. Thanks to Nymra for their assistance on this. Added: Failed Pursuit Cooldown under Other Settings > Fixes. This will trigger when a creature fails to reach their victim, and might help prevent penned-in or distant creatures starting and failing pursuits repeatedly. Added: Current number of claimed actors shown for Other Settings > Fixes > Release Claimed Actors. Fixed: Hostile Arousal testing option setting Male NPC arousal to 0 when reverting to default. A reminder that allowing hostile engagements will break combat. Fixed: Claim scene not running in some edge cases. Fixed: Struggle keys still receiving inputs when not in struggle QTE, or when struggle should have paused. Fixed: Error in DHLP suspension event handling. Fixed: Actors still claimed after DHLP suspend mod event. Fixed: Bribe/intimidate/persuade follower dialogue options not available for female NPCs. Changed: Clearer feedback for missing or incompatible mods in Other Settings > Compatibility. Changed: Increased max number of claimed actors from 25 to 50. Changed: Queued creatures outside the Engage Radius of their victim will be ejected from the queue instead of being engaged. 5
Casandor26 Posted April 6, 2025 Posted April 6, 2025 I saw that in OSL Aroused's comment sections, many comments state that it will work with creatures too. So if it works with creatures then those mods that match creature-human based on arousal will work right? Then what is the purpose of Sexlab Aroused Creature? Is it obsolete now?

OSL Aroused is a framework mod providing a unified system to manage actor arousal levels. Previous versions of OSLA did not support arousal changes for creatures. It does not feature any means to trigger SexLab scenes, but instead offers contextual data for mods that do. SexLab Aroused Creatures leverages the arousal framework to provide an immersive way to engage in sex with creatures.

Prior to SLAC v4.15 these functions would cause serious issues in older games. Since then, measures have been added to skip these functions if an unsupported version of PU is detected. The indicator on the Help page now just shows that these measures are enabled. You should not notice any significant impact when using SLAC 4.15+ in an older game. 1

The SexLabDefeat.esp does not need to be enabled, we just need the files to be present. Aroused Creatures currently makes use of the UI widget from Defeat to provide feedback for the struggle system. 1
