ZAZ items use ZAZ. The two don't mix and work alongside each other because they don't have overlapping calls. DCL items aren't using zaz for anything because zaz was removed from DD's requirements. And ZAZ never touched anything DCL or DD. ZAZ has it's own bound animations, it won't be using DD/DCL's bound animations. I do think you're mixing up a problem that can manifest with bound animations as a conflict between DD/DCL and ZAZ.

Like almost every other CTD my game has, it points to what looks like hi-poly head stuff, but this time on my PC as opposed to any partic NPC And yes, my Whip & Chain Inn inmates may well be running free when out of sight, so I'll have a look at those bat files too to see if I need those to cut down the log spam Thanks again DQW

It's good practice, and yes it's a possibility that I might have mistaken one conflict with another, but what I observed suggests otherwise, there got to be sth overlapping even though in theory, as you suggested, it shouldn't. I'll describe the case in more detail. 1) in my debug profile I activated the minimum dependency tree for activating zaz animation pack, DD and a few other utility mod needed for the test. do the casual FNIS update, bodySlide rebuild, etc. 2) started a new game with Alternate Start, wait for the casual mod initialization, quick save, quick load, spawn zaz item (eg. zbf wrist dull) from ZaZAnimationPack.esm via AddItemMenu, confirms that the animation hold indefinitely (3 min +) 3) spawn some DD items from Devious Devices - Assets.esm and Devious Devices - Integration.esm, confirmed that these items also works as intended. 4) exit game, activates DCL , then do the casual FNIS update and BodySlide 5) started a new game with Alternate Start, wait for the casual mod initialization, quick save, quick load, spawn zaz item (eg. zbf wrist dull) from ZaZAnimationPack.esm via AddItemMenu, confirms that the animation only hold some 5-15 sec before gotten cancelled automatically. 6) spawn some DD items, confirms that they works as intended. 7) drag zaz to the bottom of the list, as well as the esm priority in the "Plugins" tab(I'm using MO2), rebuild FNIS, no change, zaz item animation is still broken. 8 ) try different version of zaz, rebuild FNIS, no change, zaz item animation is still broken. 9) try different version of DD, rebuiild FNIS, no change, zaz item animation is still broken. 10) disables DCL, rebuiild FNIS, start new game, zaz item is working correctly. 11) keep DCL disabled, add the whole consortium of mods from my regular profile (SUM, PrisonOverhaul, DeviousLore, DA, dozens of outfit mods, etc.), rebuild FNIS and bodySlide, new game, S/L, confirms that zaz items is working correctly. 12) activates DCL, rebuild FNIS and bodySlide. new game, S/L, confirms that zaz animation only hold some 5-15 sec before gotten cancelled automatically. DD items still work as intended, as ever.

Test also with Cursed Loot enabled but go in its MCM debug tab and disable the events. Could DCL be enforcing some animation state update?

As for the breaking animation, I thought all ZaZ animations did that, all of the time, anyway .... Any idea why ? SMP is probably a good guess. Try building the no HDT version of chains in bodyslide. And/or make sure you're using the latest version of FSMP.

Try disabling the gas trap event or something like that in events. There might be a few other things too, but not that i recall off the top of my head. 1

I was grabbing flowers as I ran like I've done 1000 times before and not even thinking about it, so I didn't realize I triggered a trap. I just disabled all events, because I really just want this mod because it was recommended for Devious Followers. It sounds hot on paper but every time it triggers I find it more obnoxious than anything. I'm NOT KNOCKING THE MOD, by the way, it's just not for me personally. On a related note, now I've got a broken shopping quest cluttering up my journal. Does anyone know if there's an easy fix to remove it? If not, no big deal, my journals always get super full either way.

I find this mod to be extremely handy when quests get broken like that; Hide Those Futile Quests.

If you have easy wheelmenu 2 or something similar, it is known to break DCL's scripts. So also check known issues on the troubleshooting post.

So before this question I tried several times check troubleshooting post and possibility conflict mods, I banished everything no matter how much I loved it. And sometimes it's working long time (mostly) and can run several day before "crashed" Start a new game is a good start... but I play with the Skyrim more than 2400 hour and I'm still on level two. I started thousand times and settings all again and again.... I want... would like to something different. And play first same quests too many times, I can run through Bleak Falls Barrow with closed eyes. Can u/Would you check my load order? Maybe you can see something that is hidden from me. It could simply be you've got too many mods for what your pc can handle and you have stack dumps that eventually break the mod over time. If you want to post it sure, but I often don't know about a lot of things other people use. And yes, I know about restarting. I frequently have to restart myself as i run into problems or modify my load order. I'm at over 3k hours myself and had to start over again today. It is simply something that happens when you heavily mod a list. If you don't like having to do the maintenance needed to get it working, then I'd recommend cutting out most mods and going bare bones, or use a wabbajack list. ?♀️
