On The Cart

Pass me those nipple clips, would you?     I better just adjust your clit for you...     "I'm just off down the Meadery for a quick one. You'll be all right until I get back?"     "This can't be happening!"     Where to start

A bit of QAYL

I've been doing a bit of work on QAYL this weekend. Nothing earth shaking - I set out to solve the cart scene CTD and that's probably about as far as I'm going to get this weekend. (OK, it's a long weekend - it's still weekend to me )   Anyway, what I've done is set up a pressgang quest to pick up suitable actors and then set the aliases on the quest governing BJ's scene. That means that I can put off filling them until you actually start talking to Bjorlam about Cursus, which means that the a

When Tats Go Bad...

So I exported the selection rather than the whole tat...     Actually, I'm fairly sure I can find a use for that at some point...

Spider Jewelry

Started fiddling with this when I didn't think I'd be able to get that forehead spider tattoo to work properly.   This is a quick render from Blender. It's not very impressive compared to some of the modelers that lurk around here, but it's the first thing I've modeled that didn't look like it had been involved in an accident in a chainsaw factory. So I'm pretty pleased with myself.

Tattoo Workshop

Introduction   This is a tutorial about using Blender to project images onto body mesh. My usual approach has been to paste designs into a transparent layer on top of a skin texture then to drag, scale rotate them and hope for the best. The results have been mixed at best, with tats deforming as the body mesh curves and a lot of guess work being required to get the image correctly placed. I've also had to place them a little oddly at times to avoid seams in the UV map.   The approach I outli

Young Mephalians

So ever since I posted the last blog, I've had Mr. David Bowie in my head, singing as follows:   Young Mephalian Young Mephalian She Was A Young Mephalian All Night! She Was A Young Mepha-li-an!   So, if nothing else I have a title for this thing if I ever decide to go for it. I'm still not saying I am - just making a few notes. I need a bit of a break from rotational geometry anyway.   I even went as far as floating the idea on the TES Lore board on Reddit. Apparently Mephala Cultists h

James Bond, Agent of ... Mephala?

I've been reading about Mephala, and I think she gets some shitty quests in the games. I mean look at some of the things encompassed by her sphere of interest: Assassination Seduction Diplomacy Veiled Threats Espionage Blackmail Is there anything that 007 ever did of which Mephala would not have approved? I'm having difficulty thinking what it might be.   So why isn't there more glamour in the world of Mephala? She's the patron of every femme fatale and every charming sociopath y

Sex And Blood And Mortal Souls (Updated)

-- with apologies to Ian Dury and the Blockheads  I have to say, I've wanted to use that as a mod title since forever. Do a vampire sex overhaul - something a little more True Blood than Vampire Embrace   Probably not going to happen any time soon, alas. But there are a couple of bits that might make it into Pretty, Vacant.   One thing I want is blood coloured semen textures. No one has an issue with vamps crying tears of blood, so it seems odd that they'd have pearly white jizz..   The o

Banners

It looked for a while as though I was going to need a sigil of some sort for Urulaaska-Shun.   We probably won't use it now, so I thought I'd try making some banners. If nothing else, they'll brighten up the test cell     Bit of Inkscape, bit of Gimp... amazing what you can do with comparatively little effort.

Great (foot)Balls Of Fire!

So: does anyone else around here think that professional women's football (soccer if you insist) would get way more traction if they made both sides play naked apart from thigh-high stockings, ultra high heels and arm-binders.   I know I'd give the sport a lot more attention.   Admittedly, expecting them to play the game while levitating is probably asking a little too much... (Sits back and waits for the first "burning balls" joke...)

Ha Ha!

So, I'm trying to make it so when I drop an item, it floats in the air.   I've got these glowy, floaty things, you see. Better have a screenshot of that...     Yeah, all right. Any excuse, I know...   Anyway, I've got the "glow" part sorted out, but the floating only works there because I placed them there in the editor and turned off havoc settle. Pick 'em up and drop 'em and the roll around on the floor, which isn't what I want.   So I added a script to the gems so that if they were

The trouble with Humans...

There are many stories about how it came about. This is but one of them. One day, roughly mid-way through what we now think of the as the Second Era, the daedroth Urulaaska-Shun was summoned to appear before his Master, Prince Molag Bal. Urulaaska-Shun had been given a task to perform; it had not gone at well. His failure was due in no small part to a band of Human adventurers who had set themselves in opposition to his scheme. Now Urulaaska-Shun stood before his Lord and prepared to account f

Well that was painless. Relatively speaking...

So, I just finished migrating back to Mod Organizer for my development environment. I know I swore "never again" but I was losing track of too many files with Wrye.   And so far it seems to be working well. Or at least it seems to be working which is more than I have been able to achieve before this.   Now I just need to rewrite my makefile so I can use my usual console-centric workflow and I'll be happy.   (why isn't there a command line CK anyway? I always thought that was a major omissi

Possible Daedric Slave Tattoo Design

One of the things I like about deadric script is that you don't have to conform to left-to-right. It's perfectly acceptable to spell a word clockwise from the first letter, which by convention is the largest.   So I started playing with the letters S-L-A-V-E. I mean, as you do.     I quite like the letters. The word looks nicely predatory, as if the outer letters are keeping the inner ones prisoner. Under some duress I might add. Not so sure about the circle of thorns around it, but I th

Poster Mk3

Last one of these for a while, I promise     This one is pretty much there. It's a bit bright, and I really should do another one and make sure the focus is on the girls' faces and not on Welynn's ugly mug. But I've fiddled around with this enough for one weekend, and I really want to get some more dialogue sorted out.   [edit]   OK, I couldn't resist fiddling with the colours in the GIMP. Apart from the focus, that's about the way I want it.

Haven't got a lot done tonight. Set out to make this and ended up playing with the latest version of Mia's Lair   Not completely happy with the central image. It needs a light and the girls need to stand closer. (They are being recalcitrant in that regard).   Anyway, it'll do for now   [edit]   Also why aren't the girls wearing their heels? Every time I load this they're missing some item of clothing. It does not bode well, I can tell you.   Hmm.... I wonder if setting the gear as a

Dickering

Ever wished that the process of bargaining was a little more, for want of a better word, immersive?   There's a bargaining session in P,V where (depending on your speechcraft) you get to haggle with the other fellow. Welynn (the NPC) is not only taking on a life of his own, but he's also turning into a real asshole, so hopefully there'll be a real feeling of satisfaction for those who manage to get his best price
