You know, I never really noticed, but Meridia's Beacon is actually kind of close to a truncated icosahedron. A little reshaping, and it would make a decent football.

I'd become a football fanatic in an instant. 

Would be a great mod too.

I got the floating working. That's how the screenie happened.

Basically, she's supposed to follow whoever holds the item, or it it's dropped she waits by the item. I wanted the gem itself to rise up and glow so it wouldn't be difficult to find in the dark.

Only what happened was that I dropped it and she stepped onto it as it began to levitate. So there she is standing about 6 foot in mid air on top of a floating gem.

It wasn't until later that I realised she looked like she was playing footy

Yeah, but I can't help analyze the mechanical possibilities. It's a curse. Feel free to ignore this post, I just have to write this crap down.

It could be a sort of tag situation (disclaimer - I've never played the "tag" game with kids in Skyrim, so I don't know if the mechanics are already in place).

The person with the "ball" (not balls, this is not a game for men!) gets a speed boost, and AI is set to stay a certain distance away from all the other players.

All the other players do not get the speed boost, but their AI is set to try to get as close to the ball carrier as possible.

Whoever gets to within X distance (touching probably) transfers the ball.

There is then a couple of seconds pause where ball transfer is impossible, both for the AI changes to catch up and so that the ball doesn't just get passed from NPC to NPC forever like some sort of while(true).

A player wins when she keeps hold of the ball for N seconds, with N either resetting to zero when the ball is captured or N never resetting to zero and doing sort of a king-of-the-castle play.

Hopefully the speed boost given to the person with the ball isn't so large that she basically just ends up running around in a big circle followed by a train of slower movers. It would require a sizeable arena... I'd think about 4x the size of the fenced-off arena used in the defunct "girl catch" mod. The ball would be an equipped item, like taking the shield slot, so it doesn't slow the carrier down much and it's also visible.

Biggest problem with the game would be *ahem* ball control. Havoc is great for shouting people off cliffs, but doesn't seem to do fine control very well. Or maybe Skyrim's javoc is just optimised for shouting people off cliffs.

Just like I liked the lingeria footbal more than watching the NFL.  It is just a no brainer.  I would lots rather watch girl catch with perfectly fitting bondage gear on that 7 base body.  In my town we have lost the professional girl's basketball team but who really cares.  Do you believe that Ronda Rosseau of the UFC would actually stand a chance against all these males she claims to be able to defeat.  Against Cain Valequez at 250 lbs.  That she could actually take a 2000 ft-lb punch.  Well, I would welcome her to the house to whip my ass if she will handicap herself with some Devious Devices--the pain would be well worth it.
