A Bit Closer to Heaven

Act 4 - Chapter 16 | Kickoff

I spent the rest of the day locked in a room while the transaction and paperwork were done. A Diamond City guard came to pick me in the early evening when a downpour greeted me.  "Step forward slave, you are going to meet your owner." I was still chained, not so tightly bound as during the sale but still unable to run. With the guard behind me holding me at gunpoint, I had no choice but to be forced to march toward the stadium.                  I was put in the elevator,

Wolfe Tracks (Charley's Story, Chapter 85)

It pretty quickly became clear that the quarry wasn't going to be the sort of job that Winter and I could handle on our own. Unlike the site near Concord, the raiders here seemed to have set up a much more defensible position - and more problematic, they had at least one suit of power armor. I knew from past experience that even with Winter in the power suit, we'd have some difficulty facing that sort of firepower one-on-one. On the other hand, I also clearly remembered the battle near Natick an

Act 3 - Chapter 15 | Lawless World (P2)

I was choked till I blacked out. My weapons and some of my equipment were taken away leaving me with only my tank top and leggings. My necklace was replaced with an iron collar and my bare feet exposed. I was chained with shackles to the freight elevator, unable to move my arms. As the heavy footsteps of the person in the power armor got closer, I began to regain my bearings.               From where I was restrained, the power armor had an even more daunting presence. It wasn't t

An unusual destiny

The good time

Nhaur: Atanea, it seems you threatened the chief of police.     Yes. I was pissed off by that fat bastard. He wouldn’t let me investigate vampires and werewolves. He said the police were on it, but my ass is! They’re not doing anything.       Nhaur: Just be careful though. This fat guy doesn’t laugh if we disrespect him. Some of them ended up in jail or we disappeared.     If you knew what I found out. The city hides in th

Lorena's Library: Breakfast With A Succubus

Hello. My name is Lorena, head librarian of the Red Mansion.     Ah, succubi. Those poor misunderstood creatures. Don't believe the scary bedtime stories told about them. Bigots claim that they are pure evil, draining humans' souls and life force until nothing more than an empty husk remains. That they are demonic monsters from hell, servants of Satan, preparing us for His inevitable arrival, ushering in the end of the world and a New Dark Age of Neverending Agony. I me

Act 3 - Chapter 15 | Lawless World (P1)

I stayed at the Cabot's house. In the morning, I came back at my place. Kimy was waiting for me. We sat down at the counter and I showed her what Jack Cabot had given me.  "Is this you special item? A syringe with a green liquid? Is that how they've lived for centuries?" She stared at the syringe in my hand before giving me an answer.  "I think so. We'll never be able to get our hands on their artifact, but if we could learn how it works... I'm heading to D.C to try to get some an
