New AE Build Part 1: The Immaterial

I decided to start building my new AE setup today since I found myself a little fixated on the idea after the aborted launch from earlier. As I mentioned in my last post, the goal here is to get a lo of the richness and nuance of my last version without the bloat. I will eventually lean on certain elements of the old setup, but other parts will be all new, using the latest tools that have become available rather than the patchwork I assembled in the past.   I started by doing a clean i

I tried to do the Valerica test run on my 1900 mod build... it didn't go so well

Hi folks, I was planning to use my giant 1900 mod build to run a test of the controversial Valerica romance mod. Unfortunately, it didn't go quite the way I expected. I've rolled up this fellow for the quest, and we'll start by traveling to Fort Dawnguard and joining their ranks.     This session will be running on a very slightly updated version of my main build, using 1906 mods. It's not perfectly up to date as many elements have been updated while I was off playing Fallou

Filthy Commonwealth Files; Vol. 6 - "A Mechanical Menace"

Chapter 2 of Volume 6 of my webcomic series, "Filthy Commonwealth Files" (NSFW/Hardcore)   Telsei's latest mercenary job takes her into an abandoned pre-war hangar, but the place isn't quite as empty as she was led to believe...   For those curious about the entire series up to this point, go to my personal Blogs section to see what you missed! ** (It is recommended that you go back and read Volumes 1 and 4 first if you're curious about how Telsei's story began)

An unusual destiny

An unusual destiny: Difficult decision

Many days and things have happened since Atanea became the new governor of the city. Fort Knox was living his best days and his best years, many had agreed to call this period "Golden Years".   The so-called war prepared by the former governor was stopped by Atanea.  There was less poverty on the streets, crime was very low and there were no supernatural creatures such as vampires and werewolves left in the city or in the dark corners. People even had more money and earned a lot

Trendil's Story part 21 - Retreat at Karthspire

“Dammit! Pull back! Get to the cave!” Swordsinger cut through the dragon’s icy blast but it hadn’t been aiming at her, so she only managed to keep some of it from hitting the backs of the retreating squad. Someone’s scream was cut short as his lungs flash froze and his lifeless body crashed to the ground.       Swordsinger cursed, only able to spare a glance as she was forced back. The hagraven popped back out of the leather hut it had hidden in when the dragon approached an

Programming Note - Spending Some Time In Skyrim

Hi folks, I'm going to be delaying the second half of Book 4 to make time for a little Skyrim project. I'll probably share some screenshots but I do not plan to blog the story. Basically, a new and surprisingly controversial mod has come out and I'm interested to see what all the hullabaloo is about. According to some, this mod has really superb synthesized voice acting... but it sample it I need to play through a good chunk of Dawnguard, so that'll require my attention for a bit. Depending on h

I have Bloody odd Question.

I have a question Why does  Schlongs of Skyrim lite SE work for Skyrim AE, and why does Schlongs of Skyrim SE the full edition doesn't work for Skyrim AE and has some problems with Skyrim SE like crashing. I don't get it. SOS lite works for AE but SOS SE doesn't? Right now I am using SOS lite. Bloody odd

Act 4 - Chapter 20 | Burglary

"I already told you and I'm telling you again, this is a bad idea. Going after Liemanto's new associate. For what possible reason? Because you think she's... shady? Please Calista, don't do this." It had been several weeks since my last job at the Boyston Club. In the meantime, Liemanto's cartel expanded with new partners. One of them had connections with evil people. I wanted to get to the bottom of it, so I decided to break into her residence tonight, looking for evidence. Wiecek did his

Settlement Update Tour - Part 3

Yesterday we visited the core of Concord's territory: Quarrytown, Concord, Abernathy Farm, and Ridge. Before we head south towards Red Tourette's territory, we have some business to do east of Concord. First we'll visit the Drumlin Diner and make sure it's not blocked in terms of progress. Then we need to set up the Minutemen base at Bedford Station. Finally, we'll check in with Graygarden to make sure the robots are doing OK.    After arriving at the Diner and fighting off a random gh

Harania, From Ashes to Daemonhood

Harania, once, was a villager living in a farm with her familly, had the most peaceful like she could ever dreamt about. But war was coming and she had to defend Skyrim against the Empire. She wasn't a soldier at first but that didn't stop her to be part of an assault alongside Stormcloaks against the Imperial forces. They won the battle but the rest of the defeated legionaries, weakened and angry, came across Harania's village and attacked. They slaughtered the villagers, even the kids and rape

Settlement Update Tour - Part 2

Welcome back, everyone! Our tour got a little delayed by technical issues, but now we can continue visiting the settlements and getting them up to date. If you recall from last time, our next settlement is The Slog. It won't be getting any major updates except for defense, since we founded it relatively recently. The big development is that the prisoners were locked up here a while ago have reached 100 submission, so we can treat them like regular settlers as far as jobs go.

Questioning Reality - Are Amoeba Immortal?

What's in a WORD?

FYI - Written words AND spoken words mean ABSOLUTELY nothing until some form of INTELLECTUALLY established MEANING is assigned to them.  Written communication is JUST as fluid as verbal communication and unimaginable CHANGES in the commonly understood MEANING of any word OR combination of any LETTERS can cause miscommunication.   IF I type KKK, or even SAY those letters out loud and the acronym in my mind means "OK, OK, OK" but all you see is a set of symbols and SOUNDS representing a

What would you like to see?

Many of you have followed the adventures of Atanea, my female character in the blog An Unusual Destiny.     Many of you voted for the choice you wanted to see. Your work is now complete and here are the results. -47.62% for bads ends. -47.62% for a sequel with a return to Skyrim (surprise) Since the two votes are tied.  Here’s what I have planned.   There will be, of course, a sequel to a return to Skyrim where I would put during some chapters, at certain times, a
