A Bit Closer to Heaven

Act 2 - Chapter 10 | Questioning

I spent the night on that chair. My top was ripped off by the sergeant, she laughed at what she saw underneath. "Mine are bigger" she said. Bitch. I had the chance to pee before I was tied to it. Lucky me. The gunners took shifts to watch me. Nothing to do, I collapsed from exhaustion.                 As dawn broke, I saw a little light coming into the room. It was joined by the commander, who had come to wake me up. "It's time to open your eyes Calista! A new day rises, it m

Uneasy Alliance (Charley's Story, Chapter 81)

Maxson was waiting when I made my way down to the command deck.   "Outstanding work at Fort Strong," he said. "I knew I could count on you."     "Thank you. We're transferring all the warheads to the Prydwen, and we'll deploy troops to occupy the site and screen the coastal approaches to the airport. And don't worry about the Institute -

Wild Ride (Charley's Story, Chapter 80)

"So report to the flight deck, an operation is about to launch and I insist you be part of it."   I'd expected a lot of different complications that might come up during this visit, but getting drafted into fighting for the Brotherhood wasn't one I was expecting.    "Elder Maxson," I said, "I appreciate the opportunity to prove my good intentions, but I have to ask for some details about this operation. As much as I'd like to forge an understanding with you, I'm not willing t

Act 2 - Chapter 9 | Target

I had been hanging out in Diamond City for a week. I had sold all my loot at the market and no, I didn't flirt with the girl in the white shirt this time. I was in need of an adventure. I was staying at the Dugout Inn looking for a new bounty or something alike.                 As I left, the bartender told me that someone had just put a notice on the wall next to the exit. Looks like this was going to be my day! The note read: "Looking for a professional. Come see me at my s

The Young Elder (Charley's Story, Chapter 79)

"I'm sorry, Ms. Ellsion. I didn't recognize you outside your armor. Have you been monitoring frequency AF95? We've been trying to contact you."   It seemed that things had gotten a bit better for Haylen since I last saw her. Back at the Cambridge Police Station, after we'd fought off that ghoul attack, she'd looked tired and haggard. Now? Well, she still looked a little worn down and she obviously needed a shower, but there was more light in her eyes and she was walking with more confi

Act 2 - Chapter 8 | Mercenary

A few days later, in Bunker Hill.               My wanderlust led me to Bunker Hill, a great place to buy and sell about anything found in the Commonwealth. Weapons, clothes, drugs, junk.. Everything could be there. It was also a hotspot for raiders and I hoped to find a job taking out another gang.                  It was morning and I was hungry, I took the time to order a meal. I found myself in shock when I saw a notice that one the residents had been kidnapped
