As the DD-DAR author doesn't have permision to publish the modified scripts, any possible help from DD teams official? Thanks
brdc Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 While trying to fix the anims problem mentioned above, I upgraded DD to the newest Beta10 RC1 SE (from Beta6, then Beta 9). Some minor issues wanna make sure. When wearing boots and ankle chains at the same time, they are shown together. ONLY except the restritive ones, ankle chains are hidden but still wearing (no device hidden in MCM).Is this a mistake or intentional? Another issue is BByoke in bodyslide. Been working good in Beta9, but in Beta10 the BByoke preview's nipples get awfully big. I didn't try it in game not wanting to see those ugly thing on my PC... Check it out please?

You either get what's in beta 10 or you use the old bodyslide where there's seams on the wrists, ankles and probably neck. There is no good way to bodyslide that monstrosity, I did the best I could. I have no idea how to make the nipples smaller and still have the breast actually in the yoke instead of behind it not going through it. Lots of people were complaining about the seams so that's why i tried to fix it. chains showing up or not is going to be a priority issue. let me know the in game name of the boots and ankle chains and i'll try to take a last look through before 5.2 is released.

Until then you're on your own converting DD to DAR. You can remove the mods you added and add them back one at at time until you find the one breaking the animations.

Since I have used translated DD5.1 and somehow can't return the names to English even I have deleted translated version and installed the latest Beta10 from here. I'll take some time figure it out. The boots are "restrictive boots", not harness one. Which are very long and cover the thighs. The ankle chains are the kind with short chains attached to two ankles. Both weight 2 and 4 ones are problematic. I didn't try the kind with metal ball, not sure if they have same problem.

Most probably you've used the wrong dll file for your game version. Reinstall with the one for your game version and try again.

I did find a combo that replicates the issue, but i probably won't mess with it anymore at the moment. I've got to to work on the conversion for the release now. I may update the SE patch later if I find a workaround, but it doesn't seem to be a priority issue as I assumed. I can add an option to switch between the two BBYokes though. In bodyslide I can make a BBYoke - Legacy or something like that for the 5.2 release.

If you're installing 5.1, either wait for a day or two for me to finish up converting DD 5.2 (just released today), or grab the right DLL for your game from the troubleshooting post. If you're installing the beta, make sure you select the right game version in the fomod.

It's fine focus on your work making 5.2 release happen, since those are just small issue. By the way, thank you guys keep doing great job on this outstanding mod. But right now for me, losing DD idle anims means losing lots of fun, so until I figure out how to bring them back, I'll just put DD away for a while and enjoy some quests in Skyrim.Would love to know if DD-DAR is in DD team's to-do list?

It is, but the person doing it was unable to get the files to completed before 5.2 released, so it will be in a later version.

Part of the DAR conversion is to set them at a high priority. Nothing like that can be done for FNIS or Nemesis. And DD doesn't work well with Nemesis without DAR, so if you have it, it's recommended to remove Nemesis and any mods requiring it specifically, or just put up with Nemesis messing up the animations from time to time. Part of removing Nemesis is reinstalling DD and FNIS, and possibly your other FNIS mods.

This is the first I'm hearing of this; I'm running Nemesis + FNIS alone and haven't been having any trouble seeing DD-oriented animations.

It's hit or miss. Some people have no trouble, others get animations not playing or playing the wrong one. There's been no consistency with Nemesis, and it's not used in LE, so there is no support for it even in SE, since I have no idea what's fucking up with it.

DD is actually why I started playing Skyrim so I've never touched Nemesis, knowing it is incompatible as DD team officially anounced. Plus I'm not a fan of hardcore fighting, totally fine without Nemesis. Yes from time to time I see some people saying DD and Nemesis get along. But finding & downloading & testing mods have taken up more than half of my already low free time, I just can't affort if it break my DD playthrough and I have to spent even more time to fix it.

It is reducing the carry weight by 1000, sometimes going into the negative value and thus you PC will be stuck. I know I can cheat up my carry weight but let's assume I don't (crazy). I think the feature is a bit silly. Did a bit more digging and I saw the magnitude is coming from some equipment which sets it to 1000. Is this intended? I guess he'll be releasing an update soon. ok so i was able to solve this myself apparently i had devious devices se main file installed and i also had devious devices expansion installed i did not know before that the main dd had already expansion in it .... so my guess u have same problem but with different file maybe main DD already has some files u have installed and they are duplicated somehow

Yes, it's intentional. You should not be able to run while your legs are restricted is the premise, but the only want to force that reliably is to make skyrim think you're overburdened. This does stack with other mods doing similar debuffs. but by itself is not a problem If you're getting stuck, you can change your view from 1st to 3rd to get going, then switch back. Or just toggle god mode. You could edit the plugin or scripts, but those changes won't be persistent if you upgrade, or could cause problems later on if something changes. You're on your own there if you insist on doing it.

It is the DCL alternate start when you start bound and you have to move to get the key from the body that is around. Being a new game, I was basically stuck in place and unable to move unless I edit my carry weight (modav). I initially thought it was a conversion error for the DD but it does not seems so. Maybe is better to ask Kimy on LE page, because I don't see how can you progress if you cannot move at all. (except with cheat)
