I just tried to build out the dwarven devious cuirass and it's invisible now too, when it wasn't before. I presume installing CBBE 3BA but using the CBBE Curvy preset is fine. I am having the age old problem of invisible devices. Yes, I have run bodyslide. Ideally I would like to run this with DD NG, DD Equip, and the DD upscaled textures recommended in DD NG. However, for now I am trying to troubleshoot the invisible items issue. I am using DD Alternate start and most of the items it equips are invisible. I've also tried adding items from the DD Assets ESP, and most work, but some are invisible. Oddly enough most of the cuffs do not show even though the inventory preview shows the models. I've tried moving this mod both before and after ZAP 8+, since they overwrite each other. No luck. Here's my mod list: This mod (the framework) doesn't have a dwarven devious cuirass. If you're having invisible devices the load order or mods that you have installed isn't the problem. Check your bodyslide settings and make sure you're launching it through your mod manager. If you need help checking your bodyslide settings, follow the steps on the troubleshooting post. You can also try turning off the device hider and making sure it's not hidden. Normally, you don't test this mod alone if you're on AE, because it can't work on 1.6.1130 or 1.6.1170 on its own since the DLL can't load on those versions. You normally install both DD and DD NG together, because DD NG needs a brand new game to work anyways, it will not work on a save where DD ever existed by itself. 2
quarker Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Suggestion: would it be to much work to code a simple prison overhaul mod that puts you into contraptions instead of a cell? Could be fun, especially when you have to escape without being seen.

DCL has its own prison system and should use contraptions at least some of the time. Trappings of Fate uses contraptions in some of it's quests. 1

DCL is very bloated unfortunately and and I was looking for something more streamlined and simple. But yeah, at least there are a couple of mods now that try to meaningfully integrate contraptions into the game. 🙂
Fuzzy_Fox Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Does anyone have any BHUNP bodyslides that work with DD NG? I installed this and now I can only see half the mesh on the restrictive thigh high boots. Or anyway to fix them?

Anyway, BHUNP links for DD-NG BS-BHUNP are at the bottom of DD-NG description under requirements. Factoryclose the creator of BHUNP did BS for DD 5.2 half a decade ago. Racoonity did DD-NG You need both BS collections. Good luck with your BS. 😁 1

afsafd Posted January 7 Posted January 7 are there any rope bondage that tie the legs together? i know there's leg cuffs but they don't do that, and i know about the rope body restraint, just wondering if there's an independent one that just ties the legs together. Thanks!

Thanks! There should be a rope legbinder too. same model as the full body rope bindings.

I reenabled DD NG, ran FNIS, built out in bodyslide, and started a new game and I still am getting random invisible devices. I mentioned Dwarven Devious Cuirass because I am having the same issue. I think it must be something I am doing wrong in bodyslide. However, following the link you posted I have followed all those steps. Just be sure there is not something I am missing, this is what I am doing in bodyslide 1) verified nif install location (D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\) 2) Select "dd - 3ba" in the outfit filter 3) Select CBBE Curvy (outfit) preset 4) Batch build with build morphs selected 5) Select everything 6) Select HDT version in override window where applicable I've also tried removing DD & DD NG, deleting the meshes, and deleting the slidersets, then reinstalling & rebuilding, but that did fix anything.

So I found a simple rope(legs), but that's only one length of rope on the ankles, do you know the in game name for that rope legbinder, or if it's in contraptions or integrations?

So this actually fixed the invisible armor issue I was having with Devious Dwarven Cuirras, but not DD sadly. I even deleted the meshes again and rebuilt, then tried items from both assets and expansion, but it's still hit or miss on whether it shows up.

I think, you may be missing the backslash at the end "\". Example: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\ Spoiler The armor Bs files will have "meshes\devious\whateverarmor". The tool will append the path with the bs reference path like: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\devious\whateverarmor. Also check the Advanced hidden section (under game data path), if there's something in output path, then it will be redirected to that folder. Used to build the meshes into separate deployable folders instead of the game folder. Hopefully is that. Edited January 9 by safado

However I noticed something strange when I rebuilt the meshes for the thousandth time. This time they did NOT show up in D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\. I ended up finding them in D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\overwrite\meshes. I copied the folder to the first location so that it would be in both, just in case. However the armbinder (and probably other models) did not show up. I tried several version from DD Assets and DD Expansion. What's weird is if I load them in Nifskope they load. I have no idea WTH is going on.

yokito78 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't know what's going on. I install and reinstall following the steps with Bodyslide, and the same thing always happens. It doesn't restrict me, I can throw punches. I got this with a simple item spaw mod, but even expanding it with Devious Devices equip, the same thing happens. Does anyone know how to see what you're going to equip instead of it being random?
CaptainJ03 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 46 minutes ago, yokito78 said: I got this with a simple item spaw mod, Yup, cannot work. Just unequip the armbinder, there shouldn't be any lock on it. Whatever item spawn mod you're using, there should be a mod (or item) exclusion list. Like you wouldn't want the Jagged Crown to be randomly equipped on your character.

The object mod doesn't matter; that error happens even without it. As I said, the restrictions don't apply; your hands are free. It also happens with others. I have a question: is it normal for items to have the name “unnamed” or whatever you see there?

DD Equip is a different mod entirely. If you pick the wrong device in it, you're getting one from Assets, which will not restrict you. You need to make sure to have it pick something from the Expansion plugin. If you don't know how to do that in DDe, then go to that mod's page. This mod's plugins are: Devious Devices Assets Devious Devices Integration Devious Devices Expansion (this is the *only* plugin you should be getting devices from for manual testing) Devious Devices Contraptions Devious Devices SE patch (not to be used if using DD NG) Edited January 12 by zarantha
CaptainJ03 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 7 hours ago, yokito78 said: or I asked an NPC to use the restrictions However you managed it (if it's not lost in translation) - that's not an option given by this mod. The only action towards NPCs you can do this mod alone is to put a Devious Device in a follower's inventory, which in the most cases gives you a small, descriptive popup. Something in the gist of "Lydia blushes as you lock the chastity belt around her hips." 3 hours ago, zarantha said: You need to make sure to have it pick something from the Expansion plugin Parts of DDi are still in use, but for testing purposes you are 100% right. I just tested the "Armbinder" from DDa and it's just as @yokito78 describes it. No bound animation, no lock. A pity that we can't drop that esp - it's originally from 2013...

Yeah, I've known that for years. That's why I always say use expansion for testing. Most of the things in integration that are still in use are keys, scripts, keywords and the like. There's one or two devices maybe, but since the majority of the devices are in expansion, so there's no need to play guessing games on what works from the other two plugins. And I also wish we could just merge all this into one plugin, but there's too many legacy mods that are looking for all three. 2
I just discovered something else. Only when I walk, sometimes if I put my arms behind my back, and if I tried it like you said, by chance, you can't show me the loading order.
