Is this at the very beginning of the game or after Nora has left the vault? If before, try disabling AAF until after your PC comes up from the elevator at Vault 111........

If you notice, it stops at processing position tree, which means either an outdated animation pack or XML patch might be causing the hiccup...

Just add animations that work without patches during installation and that's it.

Truth is you do not need any patches for the newer animation packs. Folks demand bells and whistles such as auto staged animations, cum squirts, custom moans, cum overlays, and that is really all the Patches do anymore. I can activate any AAF pose right now without a patch, but for me, I use Simple Patch for its animated interior sex banners.

right after cc.. and never finishes i even did a fresh install and verify game files the whole works

As I told you, there is an animation pack or patch that does not belong. What packs and patches are you using and are they all updated?

i even had just aaf and the basic animations that was listed. and even tried just aaf by itself and samething (only patch was for the erect penis issue)

We need your mod list or you can go to the AAF discord and talk to the AAF GEEK SQUAD..

i tried that but google.com blocks the d/l of the file that they have.. and i have a dedicated av and cant turn it off

I'm having an issue where AAF says it's installed, but when i try to open the Wizard menu (when you press Home>enter) nothing happens, the only error that shows is "removing fd_doublebed animation". The wizard opens if i use the unlimited companion tab. Themes and AAF also are not displayed on MCM, but i receive the installed popup window.

 

It's my first time having issues with it in a year. Does anyone share an older version to see if it's making issue?

I'm not aware of this effort to improve my development. The only recent case of someone being banned that I know about is when someone repeatedly posted borderline underage pictures and kept doing it after multiple warnings not to. Was that you?

I am willing to make an animation framework that others can use for their own purposes. I am not willing to make an adults-only mod or one with adult content in it.

the fourplay mods installed are those for AAF

and yes it is a lot of mods, but before i installed AFF i had 250 on the list and not all of the above have *.esp/*.esl even installed

Been looking around for a bit, but not the best with searching perhaps, trying to find out how I would add a custom mod race to be accepted by AAF, and I can't find a single thing that seems to work properly. Are there any tutorials for doing such a thing?

What a coincidence. I literally just logged in to post the same exact question. I also want to know this. If anyone could tell us how to add a race that isn't included in the mod I'd appreciate it! ?

I don't know off-hand what they are. But, I'm pretty sure there are a few custom race mods that work with AAF already.

 

In any case, you can look at the XML that comes with AAF for the vanilla races. You would just set up additional entries pointing to the new race formID the same way.

 

The relevant XML types are documented here:

Both types are needed. One to define what formID is the race, which skeleton it uses and which icon graphic to use. The other tells AAF what keywords to search for to find valid actors. You will need to make sure that custom race has a keyword like this installed for it. Maybe just ActorTypeNPC.

- The API function ChangePosition will interrupt a position to make the change even if forceComplete is set to true for that position. Other attempts to change the position (via Tree Widget or other GUI control) will still be blocked.
- equipmentSet resetAll functionality. AAF now clears the recorded outfit that is restored each time an outfit restoration occurs. So, if the re-equip timer hasn't expired before another scene starts, the recorded outfit is still whatever was worn before the first scene. This should allow AAF to properly update the outfit if it is changed in between scenes.

- use_loose_packages to AAF_settings.ini. You probably shouldn't change this. Allows setting the lock packages to use "looser" conditions. ie. Allows NPC to break out of AAF scenes due to combat more easily. Needs additional testing.

Just downloaded AAF 161.1. I like the new in game look but I have the Unjoining Bug where my characters cannot end the sex scene and the exit button is disabled. No problem with 147 or 154. Has anyone actually been able to track the cause? Do the patches we use for animation XML restages require an update every time AAF does? Mod authors are leaving all the time and our choices are dwindling if the mods all have to react to what AAF currently does. Thanks

Scenes started by which mods? Or do you see the same thing when starting them from the AAF wizard interface? Animations shouldn't necessarily need updating when AAF updates, but the XML schema has gotten tighter over time and some animations or animation patches may need their XML syntax cleaned up/corrected so they will still pass AAF's validation.

 

This release actually reverses the non-backward-compatible change in the StopScene API method so that mods with scripts built against AAF from the <=147 era will work again, but any built against 154 will need to be rebuilt against 161.1 if they use StopScene (for the same reason). It's a clear sign the author values users being able to continue using abandoned mods where possible.
