I am terribly embarrassed to be asking here, but I have been fighting this ever since Fallout updated.

I stripped all my mods, and just added AAF 1.08b and what I thought AAF required. All mods current as of today.

Then I added all the mod packs that AAF says were missing - likely due to One Patch.

When mod packs were missing - AAF would fail at 20% or 80%. Now it finishes initialization.

Enter works fine for opening the character select window. Page Down works fine for selecting participants.

"Right" does nothing. I can't get a list of eligible animations. And it is not possible to back out of it.

Normally at this point it would say "Scanning", then a list of eligible animations would come up. I don't get the "Scanning".

The debug window typically shows "20" can not be located. ("20" is hex 14 - which is the player...)

So what I need is a reason for "Right" failure.

Second need is an up-to-date (21 December 2019) order list for animation mods. I have no special kinks - I just want a set that works. My wish is for an easy to install compendium...

Every list I see on this forum seems to change daily - if not more often. Really bugs me that everything worked perfectly - up until the last FO 4 update.

I suspect the broader reason for that issue is that the One Patch hasn't been maintained for a while now. So, some of the other packs that it adjusts and points to have been changed since then.

If someone could pin-point the exact XML pattern that causes your symptom and let me know, I could probably fix it so that it recovers and doesn't bug out. But, it would still have to do this by turning off animations with missing information, etc. So, it would be best to use more updated info. Maybe this means using packs without the One Patch for now?

There isn't anyone I know of that is updating a central list of animation mods. Would be a nice thing to have. But, someone has to volunteer.

I am a simple soul.

I would be quite happy if one of us posted their working list of animations - and order they get installed in. I don't need complete - I just need working.

I just updated to latest AAF version (took a 2 month break from modding) and on startup, errors mentioning missing plugin "SSEX.esp" and "Unlimited companion framework" appear. When installing newest version of AAF, I made sure there were no options for these mods.

I tested my old version of AAF (that relies on older F4SE) and it does not produce these errors. This leads me to believe it is not a compatibility patch or other AAF related mod. Any advice would be appreciated.

Folks are getting hung up on the error messages actually meaning anything to the detriment of actually playing your game with a working AAF. With most of the Patches obsolete and the Animation Packs updated beyond the Patches' fixes, you will have errors show up in your administrative menu............Unless your AAF is not working, forget about them, they do not mean crap.  Also you folks need to do some internet searches ..SSEX is Settlement Supplies Expanded . If you are not using it, forget it. Most of the newer Animation Packs have soft dependencies that are not supported by the Patches.

Depends on your mod manager? Vortex is simple, but some of the other managers require manual placement, etc. which if done wrong means nothing will work, regardless of any flawless adult mod load order we give you.

I use Vortex - but even Vortex Loot sorting won't help me on ordering animations around One Patch. Some version numbers they go before. Recent version numbers go after - except when the One Patch XML files have to be manually edited...

I have Vortex and only use The One Patch to Bang Them..............Farell, Vader, Leitos, Bodytalk 2.70 (erection 100%, morphed), One Patch to Bang Them All, (overides only these), Mutated Lust, Atomic Lust, BP70, Savage Cabbage, Creature Pack (overides One Patch, if conflict)............everything works. I do not use Indarello Squirt Patch or One Patch Fix....

Thank you very much! I will start with your list, and if it works, try to find out what else I have that breaks it.

Just as a reminder, this thread is not the best place for troubleshooting questions. There is a separate section in the forum for AAF Technical Questions. It would be helpful to post issues there so that they are easier to find by others who might have the same issue.

Note: This is not a troubleshooting question. It is an answer I owe to Maddad, and is not something I have ever seen covered anywhere.

My problems were not due to animation packs or animation pack order.

Everything was resolved by deleting all AAF save games from f4se/plugins. All my broken saves now work correctly. AAF just creates a new save.

Hello all,

I have searched trough this thread but could not find any answer. I have downloaded AAF and managed to work out it fine as a male character. But whenever i use same files as a female character unfortunately AAF did not start any animations. When i open AAF settings via HOME button i realised I cant open the wizard which shows me availible actors. On the errors page there are many warnings but only one error which related to FFPP and it didnt change when i downloaded it either.

Please help me!

Did you build the female body in bodyslide with morphs? What error's are you getting?  Have you tried reinstalling AAF to sort the Homwekey out. What's your load order as some people have reported this problem with the homekey and sorted out by changing load order.

Hello all, I encountered a bug today while playing. After auto surrendering during combat, the npc (assaulter) was killed while in dialogue with me, at which point I was expecting something to go wrong, and as I suspected my character stood up and was then locked in a completely immobile state with no hud or anything visible. As I said expected something to bug out when the npc was killed before the animation could commence, but is there any way of getting out of the immobile state, so I don't need to re-load a save every time it happens? Thanks :)

If you change your sexual orientation in the middle of the game, you will mess up everything, yes. You have to start a new game as a female.

I builded female body in bodyslide with morphs. Body looks alright. I am not getting any error. Following happens. I start a new game with themes and one patch to bang them all installed. I press HOME to check if AAF works. The menu in the right opens saying press ENTER to open wizard. I press enter and two dots do a circle around AAF logo from up to down and nothing opens. In my male character when I press enter with same files the actor list shows up. I switched the load order many times but nothing seems to work. I also deleted many AAF related mods to understand which one is causing but nothing figured out yet.

No......You need to start a new GAME, not just a new save.

by new save I meant a new game. I created multiple different characters and still no solution.

Ok, ensure you have the latest versions of AAF, F4SE, & Looksmenu.

AAF is v1.0.8 (I think?)

Anyone having problems causing indefinite black screens during human/human animations? All my others appear to work. Some human animations work, but since it gets to a black screen and hangs, I have no way to know whats going on.

I think that some others were seeing this. But, figured out that it was a combination of XML patches breaking Leito animations (something like that). I'm not sure where the discussion ended up being though.
