That's actually a pretty darned useful list if you ask me (and no one did.)

I don't have any alignment issues with Atomic Lust. The only issues I've seen are when switching to someone else's animations and he's quite clear that that is going to happen. Unless you're talking about the pc kissing chic's on the nose. The pc is actually taller then the rest of the folks in the commonwealth as I understand it. There is a setting in settings.xml that will "fix" that, I just can't remember what it's called. For resizing actors during animations. Something like that.

Probably referring to the "offset" problem when switching directly between one of your animations and one of Leito/Crazy's. Not actually a bug, just an annoying thing that AAF hasn't perfected yet. Yeah, I figured that's what they meant. I thought they were having alignment issues with just my mod enabled.

The missalignment against leito animations is a deal breaker for me. Since i like leito very much, i simply do not use any othet animation pack.

The misalignment is due to Leito being made for fourplay and the others being made for AAF. Fourplay atm is dead. It's not being updated and unless some intrepid modder gets permission and takes it on, it won't be coming back. This isn't to say that Leito's animations aren't great, they are and I use them in every play through . . . but a deal breaker? Ignore new and coming animations over it? Well . . . Ok. Have fun with that.

SavageCabbage alone adds some 30 odd animations to the game. And most of them are top notch. Rufgt's are all top notch animations. But you do you man.

If I were to offer any critique of Rufgt's animations it would be that having them spread out all over the place makes them harder to use as you don't scroll through them together. Adjusting the naming convention so that they all hang together in the AAF wizard would be freaking awesome. But if he don't . . . I'm a use 'em anyway. Because they are bad ass.

See, not being interested in vaginas, I have been hesitant to install SavageCabbage's pack, but I've heard such good things about it that I would hate to miss out on something I might really appreciate. As an enthusiast of this mod, I'd like to ask your opinion, or anyone else who wants to chime in--how much of a bitch would it be to play these animations with only male actors and have it not be fucked up? I know I can disable gender checking with AAF, but this one seems very hetero-focused, and I am curious if it would work out. Would the alignment be off, would it even work at all, is there a way to disable sounds and stuff like that.

YES. Such a bitch that they are not all together in the menu! Is it really because of how they are named? Huh.

 

I was so thrilled when I found Rufgt's animations, because finally--hugs and kisses! I can't describe to you how sublimely, rapturously happy I was, because I had been searching far and wide for that and had actually given up. And now he's got a cuddling one. I love his animations generally, but I especially hope he cranks out more of these rare beauties because there is just a vacuum where simple affection is concerned, and he's the only modder animating it that I know of.

The best way to see if it would work is to just try it. Most of SavageCabbage's pack I think would work okay with male only actors involved. I converted SC's pack from MMF to FFM easily, having the women use strapons... so that the mod went from female protagonist focused to hetero male protagonist focused. I don't think it would be too difficult to convert it to a homosexual male protagonist focused mod.

I think, mostly they would work ok. You might have some issues with the "riding" animations, there's a couple of cowgirl anims there that may have an alignment issue . . . but most of them seem like they would work just fine. They are just on furniture for the most part. (The red armchair. Hooboy. I'm pretty sure that would work exactly how you want it too.) And that's way an oversimplification. The magic happens moving to position as well as in position. While you can tell he's no expert yet, I can't wait until this guy KNOWS what he's doing. He's already closing in on rivaling Leito I think. Sounds might ruin it for you. I don't know how, or if, you can turn them off. But I never looked into it, so there's that.

I agree about Rufgt's animations. I'm not much of a role player but I do want to plant one on whomever I'm runnin' with once in a while (especially Ivy!) and it's cool that he has those. I'm hetero, but I like playing a female in game. I dunno either, I just do. So I kind of like the same sex stuff too, just in the other direction. Heh. I think you'd like 'em tho. You should definitely check it out. And hey, you can always uninstall if it wonks out or you don't like it eh?

I think he's actually in the process of moving the stuff out of Rufgt's animations (with animation tweaks) into Atomic Lust and renaming as he goes, but I can see this being helpful in the interim! Thanks!

And thanks you guys for the advice, I was reluctant to spend the time on it as an unknown quantity and possibly a wasted effort. But now I'm going to install it, play around with it and see how it works. Maybe I can even find a way to deal with the sound thing. I really appreciate your input.

You could always try and find the sound files and try replacing them. As long as the names are the same it should play whatever is there. I can't point you to any sound files as I don't know of any except the ones that came with the mods, but it's something to think about trying. I dunno where they would be either, but I bet someone around here does.

I could try to find Leito's ball-slapping sounds. That's a great idea, thank you. After I have lunch I'll look for those.

I've been playing around with making holotapes for Videos of the Wasteland and even figured out how to make it work. I've got a couple posted in the non-adult download section even. (Shameless plug!)

The package they made for us peasants to convert videos comes with a few scripts. One of the scripts converts your chosen video for use in the mod and while doing so separates the sound from the video. Even converts it to an .xwm (skyrim format. Works fine with FO4. VERY small footprint.) With a few tweaks I bet you could get it to swipe some sounds from a movie or whatnot. You wouldn't be able to share it since it would probably be under copyright along with the video but it is considered fair use and legal to do it for your own use. I've made a couple of videos for use in game for myself and had to manipulate the sound some. It's a lot easier than it sounds.

Anyway, there's some learning curve, but it's not steep at all. An idea.

It has "reported" that to AAF and AAF is telling you that you need it. I think it's one of Rufgt's animations, tho I don't know which pack. He maintains 3 that I know of. That's the plan. I'll still be leaving the old animations in case anyone liked them. I'm just trying to put them all under one position tree with transition animations in between to make things look smooth.

Make sure you activated it. If that's not it maybe try reinstalling it. I know that, unlike other workshop mods, SSEX likes being close to the bottom of your load order. No idea why, I just know that it does. There's a message there for Homemaker too. That one is an esm so it'll be near the top regardless, but again, make sure you activate it.

 

And no. I don't think you're stupid. I do that shit all the time. Took me half a day to realize I didn't have looksmenu activated once. Flaccid junk EVERYWHERE!

 

In any case, AAF isn't seeing them.
