Only thing I can think then is a messed up save, or some kind of installation problem. It's hard to imagine that it would be a mod conflict. Have you tried it on a clean save, or just see if it works on a new game (with other mods uninstalled)?

Basically, I was in the Cambridge police station, in survival mode, I went to sleep in one of the sleeping bag. I had Devious Devices and Deviously cursed wasteland and RSE installed (using the patch for AAF for RSE).

My character was really Horny (+3 charisma) and when I went to sleep, I got a message that it wasn't wise to sleep in the wild while aroused, so my companion (Ivy) started fucking me when I woke up, I got belted by Jack the Belter at the same time. Ivy was wearing theKite Militia outfit (all pieces) and I was wearing theKite the Handmaiden outfit (all pieces)

The 1st time I went through it, Ivy was fine, only my character had problem. When I realised it, I reloaded, I still had the warping, but during the animation started it fixed itself for the duration of the animation, then it went back to being warped, and this time Ivy was in the same boat. Loading another save didn't change anything. Eventually, I disabled/enabled Ivy and she got fixed. For my character, I remembered finding a command for that, so I looked for it and finally found it: Recycleactor. SO I did that and the character got fixed as well.
This is the list of mods I have installed with mod organizer (not the mod order, I sorted it with loot and fixed Ivy at the end) if you want to try and reproduce it. The ones with a "+" are installed, the one with a "-" are not. That is as much info as I can give if you want to try and reproduce.

Forgot about that. Yeah I've seen a bunch of strange shit involving power armor and animations.

 

@Elgate I bet your game looks cool AF. I gotta look for it but I know that there was some issue with TheKite armors, but if I remember correctly it was the Vault Slave suit. And I know you're not gonna want to hear this, no one does at first, but other than when first starting out you should keep Loot as far from your load order as you can. Especially a loadout like yours that is script heavy. I can't even describe how many times folks looking for "what happened" say their trouble started upon using loot.

 

Question: Are you finding issues with Just Business vs RSE? Not really related, just curious. I love collecting named npcs for some odd reason, but I kept getting weird shit with my "slaves." Like just up and walking back to where I got them for no good reason, or not being able to talk to them when they wanna comment on my tits or whatnot.

 

I've never used devious wasteland and devious devices had half my npcs bunny hopping around naked after I removed the devices. Great concept, beautiful work on the device appearance, weird things happening. I ditched it as it caused all kinds of problems for me. I guess Jack the Belter is a thing or an npc in Devious Wasteland? I got one toon that I'm not afraid to fuck up, unfortunately he's male. Has most of your loadout except thekite armors and the devious things. I dunno if that would work tho. I may give it a go tho just to see if it'll screw up. I'm a nosy bastage.

 

Recycleactor on your own character? I didn't even know that was a thing. Heh. Do it to settlers all the time. Cajones man! hehehe

 

Edit: Did textinputmenu finally get updated or are you on an older version of game/f4se? The more I think about this the more I think you just hit a "perfect storm" scenario. All those things together fudged something up, and I have no idea how. As forgets said, the only time I've seen anything remotely like that is with power armor and it makes it look like a transformer in mid switch. Does this happen a lot? Or just that once?

So i been having this issue with AAF + RSE. In a couple of animations, the game "thinks" that Codsworth is a male humanoid and attempts to do the animation with him and i get the AAF error 054 animation not found (either FM or MM, depending on the situation). This happens either on the untamed ardor events or the combat assault ones when the enemies try to rape Codsworth. I made sure and i don't have the robots actor type enabled when i installed the framework, animations play just fine with human/ghoul actors both FF and FM. Did i messed something up? or is this an issue with the framework?

The gent above told me to save outside (or even possibly inside), and reboot my game and they would spawn... and they did.

Since you said.... you loaded a previous save..... it sounds likely that the reload itself may have done the trick for you... and not removing the weapon.

Just a thought based on what others have said above... which seem to have been proven correct.... there is something possibly going on with AAF itself delaying these spawns.

Should be fixed in Beta 4.

AAF goes to great lengths to lock actors in place so that no other objects will cause them to move out of alignment or jitter. This is to allow furniture animations to work primarily. But, also for regular animations to be reliably aligned.

 

It is a known drawback that some nearby objects can clip. I have a few ideas to at least minimize this (causing actors to walk toward each other to a mid-point, etc.). But, they are down-the-road features.

On the other hand, I do not ask "gimme NOW" - i would be happy with just ETA (estimated time of arrival 10 days, or month or whatever). At which point everybody should make their own decision, if they wish to wait, or maybe do other steps (because the beta 4 is there somewhere, ... ;)

4Play did that......If a bed was being used, you & your partner went to another bed.

 

It worked about 90% of the time.

ATM . . . no. Dagobaking did add it to his list of "to be looked at" stuff on the wiki page. No idea on ETA tho.

 

I know. I shoot more companions that way . . .

Dago, please please please could you estimate the ETA for the next build which addresses the quest-breaking bug?  

It depends on how the next test-builds go and also life in general. But, I am looking at roughly 1 week from now for the next public build.

The quest-breaking bug should already be fixed in Beta 4. But, testing revealed that other updates in that build introduced a new bug. So, will have to work on that.

Not currently. But, I will add a check for this as well as preventing Actors and non-vanilla furniture locations from being used more than once.
