I've always liked the Blackmail text, that come up when you rummage through Bins and stuff. People telling you about it, when out and about. Batches of photo's being released into the Commonwealth, after each Blackmail, would be fun.

I don't think the game engine currently supports generating photograph images that would fit in the game's save, let alone doctored photos and a structured photo collection like you described. You might be able to implement something like that in a .dll but it would be a *major* project (comparable in scope to enb plus f4se).

Likely not even possible. SUP F4SE does have Papyrus functions for creating screenshots, though auto-positioning the camera to point at a running AAF scene is an unsolved problem (otherwise AAF would do that when a scene involving the player puts the camera into TFC). But the real problem is that the game engine caches texture files on load, so you probably can't bust the cache to add new texture files while the game is running... though they could probably be swapped out such that they appear the next time you fully exit the game and restart it.

 

However, if the request is just for some generic Polaroids rather than taking actual screenshots of sex scenes during gameplay, that's tractable with an image editor that supports DDS files and creating some custom objects in the CK. Could probably even be done as a separate add-on mod by anyone interested.

The camera positioning thing would not need to be solved for this (though a camera positioning approach would be simpler). With sufficient access to low level resources the image could be composited against a fixed background, You could pick a fixed animation pose, render the player in it, then slap on a background and foreground texture.

 

However, saving the image itself would be a massive pain (and cause massive save file bloat).

 

Another option, I guess (which would invalidate some of my previous critique of the idea) would be to actually set up a scene for the photo -- fade to black, show the photo scene, fade to black, restore control to the player. But this would be painfully slow (because of loading in and out of a cell), so is not much better than massive save file bloat. And it would look wrong if the player had changed their appearance after the photo was "taken" (but maybe that could be addressed by retaining a custom NPC doppleganger for each set of photos?).

 

Still... maybe a combination would be doable (where the rendering engine would be hijacked to render the player's (previous) customization in position with foreground and background textures. But building something like that would need someone with a lot of talent, to deal with the game engine from the inside, and make this all work. In many ways, it would make the development of f4se, aaf and enb look almost easy.

 

In other words: it would take a lot of work and talent, but it's not impossible.

Magazines do this, I've made them for my The Alien Supply Box mod, they even pop up onto the screen when found.

 

Just generic Magazines, not technical screen-grabbing stuff. Just adult images that are numbered, with some text. Looking like Polaroid photographs, via a Photograph style look put onto a Magazine.

The images on the photo's can be from anything, like with the Adult Magazine replacer mods, which I use.

 

Eg...

- Hot Magazine Replacer

 

Just collectible additions, tying in with the mod. Magazine, with a Polaroid Photograph look, that are numbered.

Well, if the goal is to capture a shot of a sex act which actually took place involving the player through the course of normal gameplay, yes camera positioning would need to be solved. If you're constructing a fictional scene which could ostensibly have happened but which the player doesn't remember, then maybe the pose approach could work.

If you use the approach SUP F4SE uses, the screen capture is a separate image file on disk. That would still need some sort of separate image conversion routine though (the one ALR uses would probably work), because I don't think SUP F4SE saves the images in DDS format.

Yes, like I said, if you want a generic Polaroid object with some canned images as matswaps (or even a user-supplied custom replacer for it) then that's pretty trivial to put together. If you want a mod to automatically create pictures of your actual player character (or body double of your character) having sex with an NPC, that's a far more complex thing entirely.

You would need to include the same scene elements, and I guess the presence of other mods would make that a bit complicated.

 

But those scene elements do not have to be captured in image form at the time of the scene. You do not have to have a precise 1/60 of a second moment when the camera is in that position with all of the elements in place. The scene could instead be constructed from the worldspace, navmesh, poses, nifs and textures using a far less efficient process (perhaps based on the nifskope rendering engine, or perhaps taking advantage of the game rendering engine, or whatever else...). This process could take however long it needs, to avoid being a problem for the game session. If the game ended before the scene was completely rendered, the initial setup could be retained and the whole process started from that point in a later session.

 

The whole "polaroid image" thing allows significant deviations from pixel perfect game emulation. And, since the player would almost certainly not have had the camera where it would have needed to be, that allows some other deviations from how the game would have rendered the image.

 

But being possible does not mean it would be worth doing. The save file bloat problem probably kills storing even compressed images in the save file. And constructing "photos" on the fly brings back a lot of time pressure...

The more the better! maybe i'd lost something in translation, but is the goal to take the pictures? or just found the images that you manually add to the mod? i dont think is worth the problem, if we can just add pictures, like the one of Marawskis hit... but with our customed images.

I like the additional Texts you added, for the bottom of the Polaroid Photo's.

 

 

Possible Blackmailer Photo Goals... 

The goal would be to collect the Pictures, that the Blackmailer has distributed around the Commonwealth. Possibly collect them all, to get rid of the Blackmail. Until then, you are his Bitch...

 

Photo's are made by Fans, added to folders, that are randomised. They are numbered, and can be replaced with modders Photo's.

 

Multiple folders, for Blackmailers, means you can have modders make replacers, like they do with Magazines.

 

Pictures are just ordinary pictures, they don't even have to have Nora in them, they can just be Porn, Manga, any image or even Fan Art. I've been messing with AI Art recently, and they are seriously gorgeous images.

This is on a point of curiosity but also aligned to the issue I raised in BIP thread about SH not firing the quest.

 

I've insulted just about everyone I've come across (the comments that start with Eww..) without any consequence except for some rather rude replies. There was one guard who ended saying words along the lines of "Fuck you you cocky bitch we will see about that" but then he just wandered off.

 

My question is (setting aside BIP) are there any consequences being rude to NPC's aside from unfriendly comments back?

New idea of harassment .
The Institute is looking for residents of the vault for their strange experiments, as their DNA has not been changed by the FEV virus and radiation. So every courser, every synth in the Commonwealth knows that Nora is a Vault Dweller and will try to capture her. If this happens, Nora will be wearing an institute collar.
Through the collar, scientists of the Institute can remotely control the mind of the subject,(for example, send a signal to completely undress and dance a sexy dance, offer yourself as a whore to the first person you meet, sell yourself into slavery, put on handcuffs and surrender to raiders, etc).
To get rid of the institute collar, Nora must enter the correct code. If the wrong code is entered, a substance similar to Viagra or male-attracting pheromones will be injected from the collar into the blood of the victim.
Residents of the Commonwealth will offer Nora help in getting rid of the institute's collar. Some for nothing, others for caps or sex. Most often, the codes received will be incorrect.
Using the collar (by injecting various substances into the blood of the victim), the scientists of the institute can also change some parameters of S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Institute collar can be taken from Community Restraints Pack 1.2c mod.

I'm going to guess you don't have SAKR installed, looks like FPSH_SAKRClient.isInstalled() probably needs to wrap the GetFormFromFile() call in a Game.IsPluginInstalled("SkimpyArmorKeywordResource.esm") for such cases.

v1.18.2

  • Fixed weird transition when player is being sent to Bound In Public quest
  • Cleaned up harmless error in logcs that was logging away if SAKR wasnt installed
  • If player is in power armor, NPCs will not slap the player's butt
  • Fixed various issues that could happen because player was incorrectly being assigned morality (such as player taking blackmail picture of themselves)
  • Added an MCM option to always use slot system for naked check, even if SAKR is installed

Honestly, there's a lot of material like that which could be injected into the game.

 

But this is a new pattern (dilemmas or predicaments maybe), which should probably be done independently of Harassment (except in the sense of being able to integrate with harassment and alter some of the numbers). This would tend to have heavier implications than early stage harassment, but gives our heroine the choice of several stressful outcomes. 

 

These could be integrated into vanilla quests or these could be random encounters. But I think the theme should be being tricked into entering into escape room type situations where to escape she'll have to choose her fate.

 

For harassment, I think we could use additional dialog options or a sense of continuity (where the NPC has memory rather than all NPCs sharing a group memory for conversational options).

 

Or... maybe I am the only one who that thinks this would make sense?

Many of the approaches already have that, where approachers will say different things if they've already approached you in the past.

@twistedtrebla, I found that when I check each npc's stats they are all set to 1 morality 99% of the time even though I've got good morality set to 0 and evil and "neutral" to 50 each. I've been using setav to change the moralities off all the NPC's I interact with to 3 and then after the first time I insult them the same person (on their next approach) will ,if I engage in sex with them, ususally kick off the bound in public scene . The problem @Slorm is reporting could be related to that. I've never had the npc kick off the Bound in Public scene on the insult dialogue only on their next approach after I insult them and then only if their morality is 2 or 3.

You have it backwards. Morality 1 is bad. 3 is good. Thats prob why you are having the issue.
