There are no improvements/fixes expected for FNIS ever again as far as I know. I believe one of the reasons Fore decided to throw in the towel was all the verbal abuse of FNIS and of him, personally, unleashed by the author of Nemesis when he first published it. There is a difference between mod criticism and hateful personal insults, and the Nemesis author crossed the line by a lot- It was truly hateful, painful to read, and shameful. Nothing Fore may or may not have done with his mod could have justified it. [...] Nemesis, due in part to the shameful anti-Fore venom that the author of Nemesis posted [...] From the context I can find, it seems more like Fore got fed up with people not blindly following and supporting them, and being called out on a generally toxic and unhelpful behaviour, going so far as to refuse help out of spite. Doesn't help that apparently every FNIS patch was made by hand, so it could take hours to make a new patch, while Nemesis apparently does it automatically. If you have any more info on this, I would like to see it.

I was only aware of Fore himself as far as FNIS is concerned. 5 hours ago, VeraDra said: If you have any more info on this, I would like to see it. No, it's been about 2 years, and all of the most hateful personal attacks have apparently been taken down. I saw them on the first Nemesis site and in a subReddit... and - go figure - I didn't archive it after reading it. Mea fucking culpa. In the final analysis, FNIS (Fore's New Idles in Skyrim) is the exclusive property of its creator - Fore - and he was under no obligation to do what other people wanted him to do with it. It is/was his mod! Nemesis fans say he had some obligation to do this or that, but that's like somebody telling me to repaint my car and then telling me what color to paint it, and then getting all indignant and butt-hurt and posting whiny, vicious personal attacks on me when I said "Just nope." FNIS basically made custom animations possible in Skyrim. Fore had every right to tell mod authors how to code for FNIS, just as Ashal has every right to tell the authors of SLEN, Matchmaker and the dozens of other SexLab Framework-dependent mods how to code for SexLab Framework. 5 hours ago, VeraDra said: apparently every FNIS patch was made by hand, so it could take hours to make a new patch, while Nemesis apparently does it automatically. This is a total deflection, having nothing whatsoever to do with the hateful way Fore was treated by the author of Nemesis. And you forgot to bring up the main benefit of Nemesis- it supports a couple of behaviors that FNIS doesn't, such as facing the camera when swimming or jumping toward it. Again, citing the few ways in which Nemesis is arguably more capable than FNIS is completely irrelevant. It's silly to continue this. Let's just agree to disagree and stop it. They should add 1 to the account at the end of the scene for all the Actors on the scene depending of the Animation Tags. Should add just 1 point without care if you changed the Animation. By the way in case the Animation be changed the previous Animation will also be considered, that means that in Mods like DDi that change the Animation once started, if the original Animation have one of the tags, will be counted too. Eventually this new stats should allow me know if the actor is virgin but for now is too global for that. Remember I can't test the things that only run on SE and this one depends of the DLL file. Diary "sex act counts" do not seem to be working for me in the 31 May 2021 build. They did work in previous builds, otherwise they would all be at zero and they're not. Despite my current partner count (93 female, 51 male) my sexual orientation showed "Heterosexual" instead of "Bisexual" AND I was able to change "Heterosexual" to "Bisexual" just by clicking on it! Shouldn't that be non-modifiable by the player? Orgasms are not resetting the "I need to have sex" notifications from Aroused Redux- they keep popping up no matter how recently I have had sex. Art imitates life ? So, considering all 3 of these points together, I don't think SexLab knows when I've had an orgasm. Lord knows it should know- all the neighbors know, I'm a screamer... I have resisted installing the new 21 June build because I don't want to lose compatibility with SLEN, Matchmaker, Aroused Redux, TDF Prostitution or Amorous Adventures Extended- from what you have posted recently about non-compatibility with various things, I am concerned that the latest build might cost me my ongoing romp through Tamriel. However, people testing an obsolete build aren't much help to you, so I'll go ahead and install the June build and let you know about the counters and orgasm tracking. Edited June 26, 2021 by Vyxenne
ʟɛͥɠɛᴎᴆ Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 does anyone know if this will work with the latest version of skse ver 2.0.19? and one other thing you can run nemesis and fnis together? thought they were incompatible. thanks for any help

Seems you are angry at me or something. I just made a simple suggestion. If this is about the whole nemesis fnis fight. There were much more to that than just that. There were times where fore was super rude towards people with real issues at times out of frustration from other things. He admitted and apologized for that himself in his going away post. Both creators are to blame in that fight they both acted like children. Anyway it is all good you use whatever you feel comfortable with. In my case I was not going to get the childishness of two mod authors spoil my gameplay. So I will be using both. If someone don't get to continue or recreate a exact fnis replacement evetually people will not be able to use any new animation packs etc. As more and more things needs nemesis. At the moment the Only thing that really keeps fnis alive is creature animations that is it. Anyway just my 2cents.
NymphoElf Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 @Vyxenne How do I obtain a newer build? I'm still using the build posted on the main page (v163 Beta 8.7) Are there any benefits to using a newer build? Are there any drawbacks? Is there a reason the link on this topic still links to v163 Beta 8.7?

The incompatibility is just with the Patches and just because the patches are made for specific scripts versions and just one line of difference can make it incompatible. So all those Mods in your list are safe. Mods like SLSO or SL Survival, patch the SexLab scripts to add his own tweaks, and those are the Mods that need to be updated. Almost all the others patch can be ignored because was made to fix something already fixed. 11 hours ago, Vyxenne said: Despite my current partner count (93 female, 51 male) my sexual orientation showed "Heterosexual" instead of "Bisexual" AND I was able to change "Heterosexual" to "Bisexual" just by clicking on it! The sexual orientation is based on the amount of scenes with each gender and is not really recorded just move the sex orientation value more to the Hetero or Gay at the end of the scene depending of the partners genders on that scene. That system need to be reconsidered because is true that after 100 Homo relations is enough with 10 Hetero to make you Bi. Some Mods like Shut like a Virgin show that counter and the new ones too. I also in some point include the sex count on the SLU+ and probably on the GitHub version but apparently I end removing it because in some NPC start with one number that don't match with the rest of the stats. By the way my question is about the new ones that are just in the last version. 11 hours ago, Vyxenne said: Orgasms are not resetting the "I need to have sex" notifications from Aroused Redux- they keep popping up no matter how recently I have had sex. The "SexLab Aroused" detect the orgasm event at the end of the scene that is happen without care if the actors are having a orgasm or not, and check his own conditions to decide if drop the arousal or not. At the end that's between the "SexLab Aroused" and the Animation Tags and the"SexLab Framework" have nothing to do about. 1

There are several advantages to them including new features and behaviors as well as bug fixes. The drawback is, they have not been released and therefore they may or may not be compatible with various things a user might be running.

I know I didn't exactly word it correctly, but I was wondering if it was possible to obtain one of the builds other than the most recent GitHub build. However I'd rather not risk breaking my mods without good reason. I hope an update to the framework can be released soon.

I personally have a lot of issues with the latest one from actors being put in the wrong positions to certain things not working. If you are willing to mess around with it you do eventually get that sorted. There is quiet a bit extra new functions which are really cool. So ye personally I will put up with those small problems till the official release. But don't be afraid to give it a go tho. Edited June 26, 2021 by osculim

Honestly I think it'll be better if I "don't know what I'm missing" until the next official release. My load order is "Stable but precarious", so I'd rather not risk toppling everything until absolutely necessary. I think I'm also on the verge of needing to a complete re-build of my game and mods and I'm not looking forward to wiping and re-installing 200+ mods. I know it'll have to be done eventually, but I don't have the energy for it right now, so I'm being cautious about what mods I add and update.
sallyseaworthe Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 Hi, sorry. New to modding and all. I have all required files for the Sexlab Framework SE 1.63 as specified on the original post, installed via Mod Manager 2. In-game, go to MCM for SexLabs, press install, nothing happens. That is the last thing missing for my game mods, I believe. Please help, and sorry.

For the record, all I had to do was actually "click" the install xxxx part on the MCM after going into the install section. My bad. ;-;

htakara82 Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 I haven't played Skyrim for about 2 or 3 months, and came back to it to run into an error in game saying that sexlabutil is outdated or missiing, and the utility log says: SexLabUtil unsupported runtime version 010400F1 Anyone know what this is? and how to fix it?
ThatLobster Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Howdy! Uh, I have no idea whats going on. Using V.163beta8 and it has all the requirements (papyrus util, skyUI & SKSE), and for some reason it says my verision of skyrim is outdated? its 1.5.97.08, is there a fix for this? Noob to skyrim & i cant find any fixes online.

The version of SexLab Framework on the first page of this thread, v1.63 Beta 8, is for SSE only- the latest Skyrim LE version of SexLab is 1.62 and it's available here.
