I am also having this exact same issue.

Its super annoying.

so, im having an issue, before i updated to the most recent versions of skse, sexlab, papyrus, additem menu, fuz ro doh, and race menu, my game would launch, even if sexlab was broken, but now that i updated to the most recent versions, my game wont even launch, and those are the only things that changed.  any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Which SKSE do you have and race menu because right now they don't match up SKSE is 2_00_15 and race menu is for version 2_00_13 the miss match might be your problem.

You might want to rethink that (apparently disinformative) statement. :classic_wub:

SKSE64 v2.0.15 is a bugfix release, replacing 2.0.14, which itself was a bugfix release replacing 2.0.13. All 3 SKSE versions were released for SSE v1.5.73.

The fact that Racemenu64 is labeled as "for SKSE64 v2.0.13" is simply an oversight on Expired's part- there were 3 SKSE releases within 24 hours as the bugs were found in 2.0.13 and 2.0.14. The only version of SKSE64 that actually works with the current game version (without crashing) is 2.0.15- the current version. There are several reports that RM64 works fine with SSE 1.5.73 + SKSE64 2.0.15.

I did not know that I thought the numbers had to match because a lot of people on the race menu forum are reporting their games doing CTD still.

These CTD are likely due to other issues like the broken HDT SMP update for 1.5.73

In fairness, it's not your fault, nor is it surprising that you didn't know. By not updating his published RM64 requirements from SKSE 2.0.13 to the correct 2.0.15, @expired is contributing to the confusion and misinformation flying around in all directions. Please excuse me if I came off as blaming you for not knowing about the 3 SKSE64 versions for the same game version and how that happened and what to do about it.

The real solution is to block Bethesda from updating your SSE with garbage "updates" containing crap you will likely never use as a PC player, then roll back your game to 1.5.62 and roll back SKSE64 to 2.0.12, and finally reinstall all your old SKSE-dependent mods (the versions you had before you updated any of them for SSE 1.5.73.) That way you have a stable, playable game with no crashing, fully-functional HDT-SMP and fully-functional Racemenu64.

Thank you I rely on the numbers to know when to update I have mine set like you said and only when ALL the mods I use that use the SKSE64 are updated do I then update them check them and continue on I also use NMM instead of MO or vortex and no you did not sound like you where blaming me as you did not know where I was coming from or what I thought or knew but I know NOTHING when it comes to codes.

There is a way to stop auto updates.  Right click on the game in your game library.  Then click properties click on the updates tab, and set the the game to update when you launch the game.  Now if you want put the game offline.  Then when you want to play the game launch it through SKSE not the game launcher, and that's it no more updates.

Run FNIS?

Seems like this has been a particularly brutal Skyrim update damn near across the board  ?. It's sad that I'm sort of hoping no cool new SKSE requiring mods or major updates come along so I can happily stay with my 2.0.10 without feeling any need to update.

I've religiously kept Steam offline..and staying at SKSE64 2.0.12.     One day Bugstheda should be hit with a class action lawsuit for fucking up other player's games that they bought and paid for due to Bugstheda's quest for money.

What mod loader do you use because I heard through different forums that MO and Vortex users are have that kind of problem a lot and one of the forums is comments on steam.

Be careful what you ask for. If we piss Bethesda off, they can completely kill SKSE with a phone call from their attorney- because SKSE devs necessarily reverse-engineer Bethesda's Intellectual Property in order to function. It's been a "don't ask, don't tell" situation since the beginning. Posting how much we hate what they're doing is one thing, but a lawsuit, or even a lot of discussion about suing them and they can pull the plug.

If we want SKSE at all, we need to STFU and just deal with the insanely customer-hostile Bethesda nickel-grabbing updates.

There is no such thing as "Nexus Mod Organizer." You probably meant Nexus Mod Manager, which is perfectly good for most users, works well except on large mods like Apachii Divine Elegance or Beyond Skyrim - Bruma and is completely transparent and intuitive about how it manages the mods: it writes them into the Data folder just as though you had done a manual installation. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

I've been using Vortex since January, and other than a couple of bogus warnings ("23,086 files failed to deploy" yet all files deployed and the mods work fine, etc.), it has worked well for me. So whatever you're reading that says Vortex is "bad" or screws up mod installations or is as difficult as MO2 to learn/use simply isn't true.

Has anyone else had the issue since the last update where followers will just stop following you after a SL scene, and nothing you do will make them start following again?  Or Asking someone new to follow, and having everyone who was in the room at the time start following you?
