I haven't been on the site during the change over, so i haven't faced the brunt of the problems. From the look of things, it's going along smoothy. I wish to congratulate you and say thank you for a clean transition(from my prospective). I was here when forum post weren't linking to the download page, but it was a mild annoyance.

Which sort button? The one I see on the downloads for skyrim at least has it

I don't see a sort by for website notifications

recentlyupdated.jpg

The tracking and the "sort by" were two different questions.

Since you commented on the second question, "recently updated" is different from "recent upload". Most of the times that I go and check for new files  I find none, so I assume that "recently updated" may mean that the modder just edited the page. Covering this need may save the site some unnecessary traffic load (and ourselves a llittle time).

EDIT 1

I think you literally fixed this as i was typing. Thank you.

EDIT 2

Nope. I think it's just my browser showing the link i posted as light blue because i've visited the page.

Not wanting to add to the things you still need to polish up, but the highlighting of links might need another color. In the following images, i can not identify what that blue text says most of the time.  Just for arguments sake, i'd change the color to baby blue, or a Turquoise color. You'll need something light then navy blue to be readable on this background.  That said, i am sitting away from my screen, but links aren't normally a problem for me.

Did this run into a snag? I don't think any of my reputation from the old site migrated over, neither reputation from files or forum posts.

I could be wrong though, harder to tell without a reputation tab in the profile.

I looked around a bit, and came across the leaderboard section that shows the highest repped posts by date and confirmed that the rep did in fact get carried over, BUT it isn't displayed.

For example, one of my blog posts had 20 likes on the old site, and it showed as on of the top liked posts on a certain day with 20 likes on the new site's leaderboard, but the post itself doesn't show those 20 likes.

So basically, the rep from the old site is carried over, just that it is not shown.

Sorry for posting back to back, but are profile cover photos broken for anyone else?

I can't see mine, and I can't see other's cover photos when I look at their profiles either.

Uploading a new cover photo doesn't do anything.

I can see them in other profiles and mine as well. But not in yours - that is text-only for me.

The cover photos are still there, you can see them linked to if you inspect the element or watch the network tab in a browsers developer tools. They just aren't actually visible now for some reason. Though they were for sure working a few days ago. I'd hazard a guess it has something to do with the switch to all https as that was the biggest change as of late, but am not entirely sure, could also be some CSS change somewhere if anybody wants to play around with editing the CSS in dev tools to find out. I'll look into it myself tomorrow after I wake up.

Just did a quick CSS check on them, and the issue is quickly obvious. For some reason the cover photo is being displayed with a 0.0001 opacity, changing this in dev tools to 1 makes it show up without any problems. Why this CSS rule is being applied I'm not sure. Will look into it more right now since I seem to have a lead atm.

eh, changing the CSS rule to opacity: 1 only solves half the problem, it makes it visible, but you still can't reposition it. the .0001 opacity seems to be default across all themes, so it was almost certainly set to that even when it was working correctly. My next guess would be it has something to do with some javascript failing- which would explain why the reposition isn't working, the JS likely also overrode the low opacity to make it visible and positioned correctly. Don't feel like debugging some javascript right now on 26 hours of no sleep and somewhat intoxicated :flushed: I'll check it out more when I wake up.

So you DO sleep! I was wondering...

I do 20-30 hour days fairly regularly (upwards of 40 hours awake on the rare occasion), usually 2 or 3 times a week at least. I do tend to get plenty of sleep after such episodes, but nothing about my sleep patterns could be called healthy... On days of really bad insomnia (30+ hours awake) though, I rarely get more than 4-6 hours of shitty sleep before waking up unable to fall back asleep and being useless the rest of that day x.x

Absolutely nothing in your screenshot (or the link) is remotely unreadable to me. The blue text is clear as day to me. You likely really need to adjust your monitor's contrast and other settings.

Should also note though, that that isn't the standard link color. That post has customized the color of the linked text to be that dark, so I have no real control over it. The standard link text looks like this. Not like this.

I know what it means not to sleep, do not do that to your body, it makes You broke!
I am suffering from a very rare sleeping sickness, I can not sleep!
sometimes for days not at all then again only for 2-3 hours sleep and no sleep medication could help me!

edit: my picture is available again. :)

edit 2: disappeared again! :(

It's minor, but I see that you're still adding features Ashal, so while at it :

— Is there a toggle to see the bbcode into comments/replies we're typing/quoting, as there used to be ? If yes I can't seem to find it ! é_è

— You've added an "area" tab in the profiles. Would it be doable to customize the tabs we want to be displayed in our profile, and the order of it ? 'cause the about me page is usually way more worked-upon that just the posting history (personaly I was using mine as a sort of hub for my blog). =)

Thanks again for your work, regardless. =)

Editing BBCode is not possible.

You can write it, and it will be used. But there is no way to see the source of it because it is no more use internally.

At small horizontal resolutions, the site adapts to be more mobile friendly, as mobile devices are the most likely to have those sort of resolutions.

To access the tabs you can see at full res, just click the 'Burger' icon in the top rightBurger.jpg.2195b3994700b535bbef5ca765590a29.jpg

have any suggestions or comments, please post them

Right, so here's my 2 cents:

The new layout is inefficent. Too much scrolling. Everything is too big - tables, separators, boxes, especially fonts. Looks like a site designed for mobile phone use, which is massive fail.

If BBCode isn't being used internally, then what's the standard in use now for linking images and videos?

Also suggestion if I may: Can the 'Blog Entries' section on the lower right of the Homepage only update when someone publishes a new post on their blog, as opposed to currently where an entry is pushed to the very top anytime there is a comment or edit made to an entry, no matter how old it originally was?

This new way makes that section of the homepage very messy IMO.

On the old site it could be glanced at to see who most recently put something new on their blog that I might want to go check out, but now it basically updates every time a comment is made, even if the entry is super old.

Use the compact CSS layout.

We will update the Blogs in the list like we did for the new downloads.
