The main issue seems to be changes to a Tamriel worldspace (placing auction marker in Helgen and a few other places): this creates a weird conflict and dependency on Dawnguard. I have no idea how to remove this dependency...

 

My advice, unless you absolutely need to remove it, don't.  Removing a master can play hell with RefIDs and other things in your mod, even causing some stuff to be removed completely.  I had this happen recently with my Whiterun mod, I'd accidentally added a master file without realizing it and when I removed it, it also removed everything I'd used from Hearthfires (Hearthfires was not the master that got removed, but it affected it anyway) as well as a few other things.  Took me a couple days to fix most of it, big headache and I'm still finding weird stuff that I have to fix that is probably a result of that one mistake.

 

It can be done but I find its often a pain, so think carefully if its really necessary.  I'm still avoiding fixing the fancy milk barns for MME because of this same issue.  Not gonna be fun ?

Quick test report:

  • Installed .55 and loaded up from my save point, guards said the slave auction was in Riften so I grabbed a spare slave out of the dungeon and headed to Riften.
  • Upon arrive I found the Auction Master in the market square, it was late evening so the auction would be at noon the following day.
  • There was a dialog option to put the slave I had with me up for auction, I did so and she was transferred to him.  That seemed to work fine.
  • Went to Honeyside, slept till about 10:30 AM, went back to the square.
  • There was no slave cage but there were two auction guards / slavers.
  • At noon the auction master moved over to where the slaver guards were and announced the auction would start.
  • He asked one of the guards to get the first slave for sale
  • The guard ran off to the front gate, exited Riften, no idea where he went after that.
  • I went back to the Auction Master who stood there for a few minutes and then started the bidding on a slave even though there was none present.
  • Apparently nobody bid.
  • The missing slaver guard came back at this point and ran over to where the slave I had left for auction was standing
  • I think he was trying to move her to the Auction Master but she never moved.
  • After a minute or so the guard came over without her and the auction began
  • There were several bid from nearby people, I saw a couple names of Riften citizens.
  • After several rounds of bidding the Auction Master himself topped the bid and bought my slave for himself, she still hadn't moved from where I'd left her.
  • I collected my money from him, I did get some gold but did not see how much, if there was a debug msg telling that it passed so quickly I didn't see it.

 

That's as far as I've gotten, but figured you'd want to know.  Seems like its mostly working, just maybe some issues with getting slaves to be where they should be.  I know there was a spare slave standing around in Whiterun, I'm wondering if that's where the guard was going to "fetch" her but that's just a guess (If he did, he made it to Whiterun and back in record time!).  Some of the issues might be from lag, maybe due to having Populated Towns and Cities installed, that adds a lot of NPCs.  Not sure if that could interfere but worth mentioning.

Lol. Try waiting around the auction area until noon next time (or start an auction from the MCM menu). Was the slave cage there when you spoke to the auction master the first time?

 

If the cage was there actually, apparently the mod cancelled the auction when you zoned out (it shouldn't) and  somehow moved the cage marker (what the guard ran after when fetching the first slave), but for some reason left the auction actors in place. Seems like a weird bug. I have had like dozens of auctions in my game and none of this ever happened.

 

Or maybe the problem was that your auction was already set up in your save from 0.54,  and incomplete.

 

But again, try waiting at the auction spot for noon.

I never zoned out and I did wait around for the auction to start and remained there til it ended.  I got there at 10:30 AM game time and literally stood next to the auction master until he started the auction.  The cage was not there the day before the auction nor the day of the auction (I arrived the day before, spent the night in Riften).

 

It is possible it was set up from .54 since I have things pretty well advanced.  I'll wait for another and see what happens.  The only two cities that should qualify at this point are Whiterun and Riften, I don't think I had advanced Markarth far enough yet.   Will run another test when I can.

Musje what is the criteria to have a slave auction in Whiterun, for example?

With the MCM I was able to get one on my most recent save. When I backed off to an earlier save, I can't get one...

I keep asking guards and they say "this week" - until they stop saying that. Nothing useful in debug logs.

When the auction is on, there shuld be a cage somewhere with a few guards and an auction master. Talk to the auction master and ask when the auction is, he will tell you. Unless you do that, there will be no auction.

 

Also: if the auction starts and then stops, the mod couldn't find enough slaves to auction off. I will post an update soon where the auciotn master will at least announce this, and also have a better method for finding slaves in town.

In white run, is the auction always at the statue of Talos? In my case the auction master and cage are not showing up. Lack of available slaves seems likely. Whiterun slavery is at stage 4.

It would nice to use some named npc for this..:)

Yes. The mod will try and set up the cage when you are not there. But if the guards tell you Whiterun and you then go there, it should be sitting there, Keep in mind that if the auction was already planned before you upgraded Aygas, there's no cage. I recommend zoning out and picking Whiterun from the MCM menu, then have another look.

 

If not enough slaves, the cage will appear and the auction will startm then stop after a minute.

 

Next version will do this automatically after upgrading :)

Hello all,

 

I just figured out that with the excessive amount of pillories spawned during punishments whiterun became a really unstable place that whenever i go there it just instant crashes. Unfortunately im far away from a previous save and dont know how can i get rid of the pillories in there. Is there a way to clean them?

Hm the pillories should disappear after the punishment or when you zone out. What you can try:

- turn off the option that spawns furniture for the slaves to be punished in.

- go into Whiterun, open the console, and target a pillory. Then type markfordelete

- Do this a few times then zone out, save, and repeat

I used to do that, but i havent go to whiterun for a while, then when i go i immediately crash. I cant even see pillories and i did not add any new mods after PAHYGAS.

I keep having an issue where when I ask and NPC if they're interested in one of my "working girls"  they say yes how much and then my option pops up and says "looks like someone beat you to it"  even though they currently are just standing beside me.  Currently my level is only high enough to manually work the girls and not to turn them loose on their own.

Are there any other requirements other than the first perk (Slave Trader) , the MCM setting being checked and a slavery rating of at least 3 to buy back slaves? Orgnar hates the two I sold them but no dialog option appears to attempt to buy back. I changed it to easy mode which boosted Whiterun's level to 4 and still nothing.

What is the max interesting level of slavery for a town? Is 4 enough to see all content?

 

Do you plan a spell to see the attributes of one slave without seeking it in McM (Like the one in PAH)? (edit: sorry it's for HsH)

Did you sell them recently? They will only offfer it after a week

Yes, that was my problem. Thanks for your help! and your great mod. I use a timescale mod so it didn't occur to me to keep waiting.

I found a couple of lousy slaves I sold to customers in a Whiterun Slave Auction. My customers must have been really unhappy - this was in just a couple of days after I sold to them.

My Whiterun rank is 2 - all others is 0. I was really surprised to see an Auction this early - it went well, to completion.

The slave selection is going to be tweaked a little. At the moment it prtty much offers randomly selected slaves (plus a generated one). In the future it will weigh the owner satisfaction and things like that as well.

found something that u might not like musje. the one thing i dont know how u can fix is the issue of the mod doubling the pop of their areas which means basicaly doubling their ram when there. that probaly the only thing i found so far hurting the mod.

on my MO test profile did a test and even with realy nothing but req mods to run UGS will effectivly double the ram use of a city once every person able to has a slave. the test is with no extra or texture mods. so u can go figure what a fully modded game be.

It usually doesn't happen to me but I can't get the MCM to show up...  I tried to reset the MCMs with "setstage skiconfigmanagerinstance 1" but no luck.  You said in your first post that I shouldn't remove the mod without resetting it from the MCM, is there a command I can use to do that ?

 

Edit : I did some research in the thread and can confirm it only happens when Interactive Bondage isn't there (using latest version on a save "cleaned" with Fallrim tools).  Here is a - messy - log when I don't have Interactive Bondage :)

Just some anecdotal confirmation here.

About the time I had Whiterun at level 4, and most other cities too, I started to get random CTDs just walking through Whiterun. Going up the stairs - ctd. Walking through the market - ctd. My next run I did not install AYGAS until very late; after I had enslaved everyone I was interested in enslaving. Now AYGAS is installed, but I am being very selective who I sell slaves to. I have my own brothels, and bars have a couple of hookers. Just a few sold to needy citizens to lend them a helping hand. So far, no ctds.

 

Suggestion: figure out some way to manage sold slaves that is not resource intensive. Maybe a limit of 20 active ones, with the rest owned but "away"?

 

Certainly my favorite game configuration is PAHE, HSH, and AYGAS. It is a complete ecosystem.
