I thought I read somewhere that you had to build a safe to collect the caps from, but I may have read that from another mod. I was looking a few of the slavery mods and settled on this one, so I cant be too sure. At any rate, I cant find a safe in the menu other than the vanilla. If someone could throw my dumbass a bone here, it would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure all of the required files are activated. I don't use Vortex but I've read it can be janky about that on installation. Not sure if it's true, but it's worth a look. The big one, usually, is Extended Dialog Interface (XDI) that usually causes problems.

I think this mod also allows for you to become a slave... Sort of I am low level and have been handcuffed and collared by raiders I have no lock picking skill and struggling in the handcuffs is doing nothing Is there any immersive way of escaping Ask a follower or friendly stranger Or any follow through by the captors wherein I have to escape a place of imprisonment because at the moment I'm just left wandering with my hands tied At the moment the only option seems to be to reload the game to an earlier save. moonlesssky Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I'm having issues with dialogues with slaves and the extra dialogue needed to sell them. Oddly, extended dialogue only provides one word options after I choose to "talk" to a slave. I get the options Question, Inventory, a blank option, and Relax. Choosing Question goes through a dialogue with no words (not even subtitles. Choosing the blank option just let's you press it endlessly with no effect. When going to sell a slave, I get Question, Nothing, a blank space, and Sell off. Choosing sell off has my character say they want to sell a slave, but the conversation ends right there. The blank space does the loop mentioned before. Question has the npc say no thanks and end the conversation. I don't remember dialogue being so broken and it's really frustrating. I'd super appreciate anything you all can think of for a fix. This problem persists to even a clean save.

Oddly, extended dialogue only provides one word options after I choose to "talk" to a slave. this looks like some kind of mod interaction problem. it looks like something is interfering with either Just Business or XDI (extended dialogue interface). with XDI when you talk to a slave normally you should get 10 options. first two options should be "you can relax here" ("follow me" if not currently following) and "go home". the sell option should be in additional dialogues menu. MCM can set a hotkey to turn on and off. my suggestion would be to double check that XDI is installed and active. if it is installed and active you can check if you installed any mods since you last knew it was working and try removing them to see if that fixes it. i just checked and did not see the word "Question" anywhere in the regular slave or additional dialogues. sorry i cannot be of more help

I slept on the issue and thought this may be the case. I found out that I had the full dialogue interface mod that was hiding. After disabling that, everything is beautiful again. 2

I recently used MCM to change to the rename anything option however whenever I enslave someone it just comes up with the name slave. I like to enslave named characters that either try to kill me or ones that die due to a mod. I like to rename them however with named ones I just want the name to just be left alone for the most part, it just makes renaming them for other things easier.

I like to rename them however with named ones I just want the name to just be left alone for the most part, it just makes renaming them for other things easier. not sure how to turn auto-rename off. it should not rename uniques, if they are named but not unique they will probably be renamed. it will probably take some trial and error to figure out which are actually unique and not generic (or from a template). most of the time when it just names them slave they are a generic version of a faction. i only enslave uniques that try to kill me and they keep their names. what seems to happen is when enslaving some raiders through Just Business and this occurred Raider = Slave Raider Scum = Slave Raider Waster = Slave Chancer (unique raider boss) = Chancer i also use Commonwealth Captives which randomly put captives in various places (i can get enough of those to populate settlements) and when i enslave those captives instead of free them i get Sienna = Slave Arthur = Slave Lincoln = Slave Charlotte = Slave what is happening with Commonwealth Captives is that the captives are actually from a template (thus they are generic) but renamed. if i rescue them they keep their name the whole game. do not know how you are renaming them, but there is a mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22105 that lets you use the console to rename anything including settlers or slaves. i use this to rename clones as the mod i use to make the clones https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26230/ just names them settler (or minuteman). this mod when it clones them they keep their looks (not always inventory though) so you can make 20 copies of Piper or Nisha if you want.

That is what is renaming your captives to "Slave" You can't import them into AFT without that happening as far as I can tell

I would like to report a bug, when I tell a slave to "follow me", he will not respond and will not follow, the same goes for any slave, normal companions are unaffected and can follow. Anyone who can tell me how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
