Hey all, I'm incredibly lazy and dont want to spend 6 hours looking through threads, so i'll ask this to hopefully get a response. my game is bugged, not sure how, but i removed a device and it still thinks its on my character: inventory shows its gone but im still getting effects from said device and im not sure how to fix this, its quite annoying as it temporarily stops me from being able to move.

That happens because the scripts were not terminated correctly upon removal.

Craft the same device, color doesn't matter, equip it while manipulating the locks. Exit the Pip-Boy. Go back in and remove it.

 

And don't ever use console commands to remove DD items. Just in case you did, even if you didn't, now you know not to. LOL

So I've run into something interesting where Kimy keeps showing up trying to sell me things after I leave Goodneighbor. She's come to my settlements, when I go out on missions, etc. Anyway to reset her back to Goodneighbor? It's kinda immersion breaking, and I really don't want to have to start my game over.  Also having some issues with MCM not letting me click on the actually "Settings" option under Devious Devices. I can select the other to options under it, but when I click setting it flickers.

This actually has nothing to do with their behavior - which I experienced when using this mod.

The mod author's statements about where her "alter ego" can be found in the game also indicate that "Kimy" always remains in the "cave of memories".


There seems to be something "broken" in the mod process... but another mod could be responsible for that.

In my case, a mod had a conversation option like "Follow me" built into the selection... so every NPC that I had accidentally "talked to" ran after me... and no - I didn't have anything to say. Reset" found.

(this then meant loading older saves and continuing with the game there)

I'm thinking this had to do with either the Harassment or Prostitution mod where I was trying to initiate Prostitution inside of the memory den, and I think Harassment triggered Kimy to approach me but she didn't have any dialog options other than to sell me stuff so she got stuck in an loop of waiting for me to talk to her. I decided to delete all saves, and install the RC9 with HHS and start from scratch. No big deal after I had time to think about it because I really want to take advantage of all the incredible outfits, and boots without them clipping into the ground. So I'm thinking before I go to the Memory Den again next time I will turn off Harassment in MCM so I don't risk her getting glitched into some loop, and hard save if it still does and use console commands for the keys.

If that was the cause, then toggling it off instantly kills any approaches that are currently active.

I've had Kimy triggered by SH and just toggled it off with the hotkey and she goes back to sandboxing. I do that rather often as I constantly forget to toggle it off. LOL

I did try toggling off SH then fast traveled to a different location but sure enough she shows up again trying to talk to me so I'm guessing maybe she got stuck following me because I attempted to offer her some fun but the dialog option for the Prostitution mod even with the extended dialog mod didn't show up, and all she could do was try to sell me stuff. I kinda felt bad for her. She was thirsty, and really wanted some, lol I do appreciate her determination.

Thanks, I didnt use console to remove it, i think it just bugged on removal, but now if it happens again i'll definitely know how to fix it!

Had a question about RC9. After I found the girl on the road outside of the Red Rocket in, and I investigated her causing the gear to attach to me that makes you go to Good Neighbor to get a key. I experienced during any combat situation that I would go into a chameleon stealth mode. Is this a feature with RC9? Because it keeps happening when I'm out exploring even after I got Kimy to remove the restraints, and the gear is stored away at Home Plate. I'm really not a fan of chameleon stealth because it makes aiming difficult. If it is, is there a way to disable it? If its not then I'm guessing it some weird bug that's going to force me to start a fresh game. I should also mention the only gear I had when I found the girl on the street in front of the Red Rocket was the vault suit, and 10mm. I don't have any Chameleon armor, or mod armors with stealth, and it still goes into a chameleon stealth when I even wear the sequin dress, and nothing else.

I first time hear about that and it's not into DD. I even don't know, what is chameleon stealth and how it works. In short.

Chameleon stealth is a legendary stealth effect where your entire character will become invisible when you enter stealth or in some cases if you're being melee attacked. What I experienced was after the Devious Device gear was forced onto my character from the body of the girl outside of Red Rocket was my character automatically doing the chameleon stealth when an enemy would get triggered and try to attack me. It only lasted for a few second or until I got injured. I had no other gear or buffs as I was level 1 with just the vault 111 suit and a 10mm weapon. This effect kept happening even after I got the DD gear removed. I did read that there were some issues with a stealth bug due to the Far Harbor DLC although rare. I just ended up reloading my hard save before the gear and I haven't experienced it again. I've also not investigated the girl outside of the Red Rocket again, but plan to to see if it happens but only after I've got the keys because walking to Good Neighbor although it was a cool experience in using your knowledge to try and avoid as much as possible, is a pain lol. I also forgot to mention that Chameleon stealth makes it next to impossible to look down the sites of your weapons because even the reticle on the scope goes invisible which is why I hate it, and there are so many posts about Chameleon Stealth online. There are mods to remove it but none have been updated in years so its risky with the current version of the game.  I was just curious if it had been added to the gear from the girl outside of Red Rocket to give the player a chance to try and make it to Good Neighbor since there is a high chance like me you'd be level 1 or 2 and help get their without every few feet being attacked.

In "Morrowind" there were two "types" of invisibility... the "normal" effect - which lasts until you attack... and the "chameleon" effect - which lasts even during combat.

However, the latter is significantly more “expensive” to use and you usually don’t get 100% of the effect (you can still see the person in question)


Using a "cheat" item - made using CK - I made a ring with a 100% "chameleon" effect that was unlimited in time... then my avatar was completely invisible - and very difficult to control through narrow spaces.

It really looked like something had been put on but the “meshes” weren’t there.

It's takes more long time as i planned, but i manage solve all problems, what i found.

This probably will be last beta version, next will be final mod.

Plans for that:

the same rework all non restraint dresses and corsets by adding new colors or patterns from DD 2.0 files and my own rework.

Clean installation file - remove all unnecessary meshes - still be left in old DD 2.0

Made a small documentation about mod use and new changes.

Include new ground objects made by @Krazyone

Maybe include Fusion Girl conversion - will speak with most popular conversion author.

 

I hope i not forgot about what need add)

 

Now i want to talk about some changes:

About fusion girl conversion - i'm left Fo4 game long time ago and now i ask you: what is most popular conversion for DD? (link required)

About corsets - i remove boots (as boots is separate in mod and now you can wear corset with any of those) - so what you think about this? Also any discussion about new clippings in that - to be sure i fix it in latest version only for CBBE version (about Fusion girl see info about this conversion)

In that way i will not change esp for long time (waiting discussing results) and i have backup without corset change - so i can restore it easily.

I added extra restore fighting ability to check how it works, So i added some immersion system messages (will removed in latest version) So if you see those messages and still not restore fighting ability - will be nice if you send info what you see and papyrus log of that. Also if you see Something goes wrong, but you still get back your ability to fight - seems something goes wrong and i need papyrus log badly. Also what item  is bugged and method of remove.

If not - then bug will leave in latest version)

Thank you so much! I personally love using Fusion Girl but that might just be me.  Since I'm still pretty new to modding I'm curious about this new mask you added, and if I will even be able to use it without a Fusion Girl conversion or if I should wait to see if there is an update to the DD Fusion Girl HHS conversion I'm using?

Fusion girl conversion not include head (as the same head everywhere), so mask will work fine.

Edit: I love Fusion girl too, but as i not play, so i use original CBBE, what included to DD 2.0 not to interfere with original mod.

In beta 1 i enlarge some items to fit upper catsuit.

In Beta 2 i delete boots from corset and use other meshes included in DD 2.0 not to change original corset with boots. All new items in bodyslide files contains word Large and are in group DeviousDevicesCatsuitFit -> file DeviousDevicesCatsuitFit.xml (in latest beta 2 mega archive)

You left the CBBE body reference on the corset. They don't need that, only the boots do. Otherwise you get 4 boobs if you don't have shoes/boots on! ;)

@Elsidia Bad Bug. At least for the logs.

Sexual Harrasement equipped some DD items, then later another round some more got equipped.

The Slave harness was equipped while wearing the separated corset. This caused an infinite loop of each being removed and replaced with the other.

Had the same effect with cuffs, and was a pain to get them off as they kept flashing the in the Pip-Boy.
Here's a snippet of the log. Which grew to over 50K lines in a couple minutes. :P

What version of CBBE? Maybe i have outdated version - different versions of CCBE spawns reference into body. Also i not uncheck reference checkbox, maybe there is problem.

Lol - this is global script bug and exists in all versions.

Because i was silly and optimistic.

In script EquipDevice are variable CheckDependencies (default true). Seems Sex Harasment force use false.

In my new system i add rendered devices unequip check to avoid break a devices. But as script uses with variable false it skip sanity check and equip rendered device even if this device can't be equipped. 

So there two scripts starts fight.

Corset rendered device is unequipped and it equips back. (guard system)

Now Slave harness found, that her rendered device is unequipped and equips it back! (guard system)

Guess what goes next?))

I made fast fix, but will start about it discussion with mod makers. later i will add this first day fix in my post for others use.

 

Edit: removed fast fix, i found some more problems and soon will update archive

There still bug is left if script fires immediately 2 conflicting devices and rendered device have less time to equip. So both lines equip 2 inventory devices and guard system start triggering:
