do anyone know why when i put on any of the items my character limbs never seem to move into place as in when i put arm shackles on my character has them on but the arms arent actually restrained all animation look the same and when running your arms still sway?

You need the Torture Devices mod which supplies the arm poses. Check its description and make sure you pick the correct version of TD for the version of DD you have installed.

Is it possible to make Devious Devices work without Armorsmith Extended and AWKCR? Both of those mods are pretty broken and outdated now.

Completely uninstall DD and any patches, IF you have such installed, then install RC8.

Hello,

I have removed a mouth device from my character but it keep acting like it still their (moaning sound), any advice ?

What patches? And is Roggvir's DD Items manager needed?

Any patch that adds/fixes stuff, as a lot of them are incorporated into RC8 and no longer needed. I think it was Devious Enchantments (or something like that) that needs to be updated to correctly work with RC8.

You can still use Roggvir's Manager. It wont cover the new items RC8 adds until the official update release. But there's only a few and besides the Slave Ring shoes, you have to manually acquire them. In other words you'll almost never see them so it's not an issue.

And, once you reach Master Locksmith, you can easily pick all of the locks. (no keys needed at that point)

Craft another one, equip it while manipulating the lock, so you don't need a key/pick, exit the Pip-Boy, then go back in and remove the gag. That should clear the spell properly.

RobCo Patcher can be used to inject items into leveled lists without needing a plugin, you just put the list and item IDs in a text file and it will patch the in-memory copies of those lists when the game loads.

Hey guys I'm having a slight issue, so throughout my save I've been able to equip every device on myself and everything else in the mod works except for one issue. When I equip any number of devices whether it's one or 5 devices on an npc and I try to save my game, it would make the game stop responding. In the past I've had this issue even before I upgraded to RC8/CE9 with previous versions but usually it would just take a long time to save which I assumed is not normal but it was somewhat bearable. Now it doesn't respond even after waiting for a while. I don't know if it's something with the mod and there's a patch somewhere here or if it might be one of my other installed mods. Not a huge issue if I'm unable to equip devices on npcs but I would be delighted with having that option if it's possible.

It's as my tests show, problem with DD made custom events. And when those are fired by scripts. So there no real solution now. Wish me luck to finish C9 version, where those events is removed. In my sandbox it completely fixed save problem. But this is only in sandbox. Never know how it will be in reality.  I'm sorry, that this update take so long.

Don't fret about having to finish that update quickly, take your time and work at your own pace. Looking forward to that update though!

Okay, so I am new to this mod, but for some reason, I am unable to get any settler or anything to go to any of the devices. They just wander around like they are attached to the Scavenger bench, instead of going where I want them to go.

First, never use DD on NPC's especially companions. The scripts will get stuck and totally screw the NPC.

Second, never use DD on NPC's. You "might" be able to at a later date, but not now.

Third, read first & second again. ;)

 

That being said, you can use items that don't restrain or other wise restrict movement of the NPC. The game engine freaks out when NPC's are restrained by DD items... so ya know.

Also, DD doesn't have any furniture to assign settlers to. You must be thinking of Torture Devices.

does RC8/CE9 work with FG and its bodyslides, like if my character has huge boobs the bra wont show inside them but match measurements everywhere else?

Yes, you need an FG conversion of DD, and ideally one new enough to encompass the meshes added in RC8/CE9. Depending on whether or not you want HHS integration by default there are two conversions I'm aware of fitting this description:

Yeah, was just mentioning is all that you don't only need a female character to make use of DD anymore. You can play a male and get that addon to have DD support for males.

Try this (copy & paste)

player.cf "actor.RemoveKeyword" "DD_kw_Event_IsVibrating"

 

and if that doesn't work, craft another one, equip it, exit Pip-Boy, then go back in and remove it. (manipulate the lock so you don't need a key)
