I have some technical questions about RC8.

What does the fDurability property do?

Can I change the slots any particular device removes on equip? Specifically, I'm trying to make boots and harnesses undress the underarmor leg slots since that's commonly used for pants, and pants look awful clipping with those devices.

 

Has anyone ever made a patch that allow users to change the lock shield/timer duration?

This is from DD 2.0 and this property nothing do. It was write specially for F4SS and in this mod it shows how strong DD item is for NPC struggle out.

I not recommend it as DD uses strong slots and also some device can use this slot and then there will be bug with devices compatibility

It changes by changing difficulty - on difficulty 9 all duration's is 1 hour and some duration's is completely removed.

I tried searching to no avail. My problem is that when I try to start a new AAF animation and select my character, it pops up a restraints list that I am supposed to get free first. Nothing equiped, no quests to get items back nothing. Going trough the list one by one ut says no such restraint equipped. Unequipping all, removin all items, dispelling spells, recycling actor or even going to a previous save are not working. Is there any way to rescue my save game?

Can anyone upload a version of DD without AWKCR dependencies? I have a mod that isn't compatible with AWKCR and I try to remove awkcr with xedit and somehow manage to screw it up. :(

You need RC8 .

It's a replacement for 2.0, so completely uninstall DD and any patches, as several are incorporated in RC8, then install RC8, build the outfits and have fun.

This doesn't appear to be true. I keep getting up to 9 hours on 9 difficulty, not once has it been an hour.

I have Cursed DD Enchantings installed, does that override this?

In difficulty 9 is one hour. It build into scripts and cursed enchantments not change a scripts so probably not. You sure that difficulty is 9, not 0? Also difficulty not affect to already equipped items need fresh equip after change difficulty.

9 hours sound like you have difficulty 0, what is most harder version.

Ok, stupid noob question here, but are we supposed to be able to use the gags on NPCs like before? The main "selling point" for me and why I dove into the rabbit hole of modding with DD is so I can slap a gag on annoying NPCs and get them to stfu. That description Kimy put on the download page about getting Preston to shut up sold me. 

 

What I'm noticing with my install so far is that the NPCs no longer give me the "hrrrmmph" sounds but blabber the default lines and only "sorta" shut up after what seems to be a timer, but then will reset and start blabbing again after awhile. Anytime I change zones, I get blasted with hellos and farm updates and hearing about how everything hurts. 

 

This feature worked perfectly for me before with 2.0 and in my ignorance trying to fix the mouth clipping, I uninstalled 2.0 and then installed this update before I tried out the 2.0 Face Morphs patch. So I love the chains and bells and heels built in, but my NPCs are back blabbing again.

 

Since then, I've tried every option I could think of including rolling back to 2.0 but realizing I just love the sounds too much in RC8 and would love to get this working if possible.

 

I realize this entire mod is geared more towards roleplaying as the bound character, but I am on the other side of the slash and prefer to bind up my NPCs. ?

 

So is this A) not an option with this update, or B) my install is borked and I need to start over with a clean save?

Short answer. In DD 2.0 was bug with NPC gags, that after put in NPC never speak (i see you love this bug). So if you gag some quest NPC - quest is borked. In DD 2.0 RC8 this bug is fixed so now after first Mphpm there is 30 sec. interval, where NPC speaks normally. After that time NPC Mphmp again and new 30 sec interval started.  it's endless loop and no bug or damaged mod.

I'm sure I have it set to 9. I tried both 9 and 0 with a fresh install of the mod and they both result in 8-11 hours after initial equip, and about 6 hours between escape attempts.

The tooltip for the difficulty slider only mentions difficulty of escape, it doesn't say it changes timers.

Did you possibly also turn on the lockpick mini-game? If so, that entirely invalidates whatever difficulty you think you've got set.

We discussed this a while back and it caught me by surprise that no matter what difficulty I set in RC8 the actual difficulty did not change. You pointed out that it was because I was enabling the lockpicking mini-game, which bypasses the difficulty settings and always uses the hardest difficulty.

I figured it out after a new save. The problem was they were never giving me the "mphmp" sound at all. So my save is borked. I used this mod to get them to shut up at least so I can finish this playthrough but for anyone else with this issue, you will definitely need a fresh save if you want the gags to work properly in conjunction with Commonwealth Captives.

Probably it can be because of DD 1.0 NPC force greetings, when you are gagged. So if run out of NPC before it done, all DD timed events hang up. To fix this need only put gag on player and 1 time hear all NPC gagged dialogue (in this case player is gagged, but NPC have unique DD dialogue answer) After that all events start work again. This problem as i heard was fixed into DD 2.0 RC8

Regardless of difficulty setting the lock pick is always a Master level lock that needs picked a random 3 to 4 times. (which the last part it a bit annoying for items that clearly have only 1 lock)

Items like the latex blindfold should have a 100% struggle success rate.

The cloth blindfold on the other hand, I can see being much more difficult as it's form fitting and has a lock. Would be pretty cool if it also muffled sound a bit since it covers the ears too.

So your difficulty is hardest and timer is 8 hours, if it returns 9 it's 1 hours. Change difficulty to 9 and will be fine. What version of DD you have?

Nope, whether I have it set to 9 in the MCM or the console I get restraint timers starting at 6 hours.

This is RC8.
