Kuroyami Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Selachii - Enkai.7z Might suggest changing his hair at some point, though I'm not sure to what - but his hair color is perfect(his dialog mentions it too). As for his attire, he is wearing the base Expert Robes in these shots, along with the Imperial(or Steel) bracers and boots. In terms of presets, I'll be doing Kiraya's next - she is the female Khajiit living with Seika. 1

Are you asking if the mod adds NPCs to the game, or if the character in the image above (Enkai) will be added to the game? The answer to both questions is "yes", though Enkai will be added in the next update (and he may only be a placeholder NPC like for example Seika or Akario are).
Guest Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 I keep getting the default nord body texture everytime I make a character and the tail is missing too, I'm probably just missing something or I'm really stupid.

Hmm...from what I've heard, the probable cause of that might be mods that make the player character use unique assets, which most likely does not consider using anything but the vanilla game. If you do have anything like that, you will need to remove it. If not, you could post a modlist, and we can try working out what might be causing the problem.

Eg: one such mod would be my HornyWereHermPlayer.esp that gives the player a custom werewolf form, it will mess with any custom playable races.

Is it one of those that replaces the player's werewolf form with a custom one but leaves other NPC werewolves untouched? Try disabling it and see if it helps. I don't see any other plugin that looks like it could conflict as well, but then again some of the plugin names aren't exactly descriptive so I can't be sure about it. And by the way, your load order is a mess and you have some mods that are outdated (MNC doesn't include the "SexLabNudeCreatures" plugins anymore, for example). I can't offer any specific advice other than you run LOOT to get a base load order to work with (but don't simply leave it like that, as LOOT isn't that good with SL mods and stuff) and then browse through the forums and such to find proper orders for your plugins.

Kuroyami Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Added some information to the relevant blog entry, on some Backstory Characters. Also, more from Varro's journal. Spoiler Kokushi smiled, his black teeth catching the light. “Not what I expected. The legends spoke of danger. Many would barely speak of it. Some, even thought I a fool for seeking it. In the end, some other pirates heard my, questions. Those who saw it dangerous enough, to not just avoid seeking it, but to track down those, who do.” He described to me that he, took his time. That perhaps for weeks, either while staying at this lawless port town build upon shallows, which held all of what those of a degenerate sort would desire, and it was there that he learned of not only this treasure, and how dangerous it was, but also of something else. A member of his own kind, regarded as insane, raving, and yet, the words she spoke to him, seemed to suggest something, even if at the time, he disregarded them like everyone else. At the time, they seemed pointless. Words from the mind of someone who did not know him, or his intentions. Yet it was only perhaps weeks later, in which these words made sense. Spoiler He looked to me with his black, lifeless eyes, and laughed. “She was right. Yet, in spite of everything, I have never felt more...ALIVE." The Selachii before me, began laughing. "My grave is the Sea itself. I am what she wanted, and I feel no regret, no remorse for what she said. For all others she tested, they were weak. They were...not one of us." Spoiler He tilted his head, nodded, and smiled again. "My people have lost this knowledge. Perhaps some have ideas, or a fraction of the truth. But I know. I know, for I have seen her. The last True Queen of the Selachii. She held power in magic, and physical strength, and ruled our people for one-hundred and fifty years in Akavir. Yet, the lost legends claim she died, or gave up her power to her children. They are wrong." 1
NightroModzz Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Okay, this is what I got. Adding skin detail will be saved for the full body version. I'll wait for a response before I position the head and start editing the Argonian Citrus head. Spoiler Human Head Comparison Spoiler 2

That looks very good. Thank you.

Camera clipping? .....No. In Zbrush, you can keep on zooming in until a polygon looks all staticky. All I did was mask a section of topology and turned it into a polygroup, then hid that specific polygroup. I'm sure you've seen images I posted where certain sections are different colors, that's a polygroup. Polygroups help a lot with editing for quick masking (to prevent editing that area and vice versa), map sections out, and various other stuff.

Blaze69 Posted August 7, 2018 Author Posted August 7, 2018 Okay, some small progress. Enkai is ingame, but he's only a placeholder NPC like Gaku, Seika or Akario. Still, he can be spawned with the console if you want to play around with him or whatever. I'm still missing all his ingame data apart from his outfit, though, so I've based him on Erandur just to choose an NPC. In other news, I cleaned up the CBBE patch and finally created an Uncut addon for it; I simply copied the foreskin mesh from the UUNP set to the CBBE one but at least both bodies should be covered now (sheaths are still UUNP only, though). Also made a CBBE Bodyslide set for the armor to match the existing UUNP one; no animated pussy because CBBE doesn't really have any (and I won't touch COSIO), though, so it's the standard CBBE HDT body instead. And last, but not least, I created both UUNP and CBBE sets for the Fundoshi. The default packed meshes for the armor and fundoshi will still be the original "hand-made" UNP ones without Bodyslide morphs, but if you want you can generate the corresponding Bodyslide set. Don't expect there to be much more progress on my end for now, outside of changes/updates to book texts or similar stuff if Kuroyami has them. Now it's just a matter of waiting for Nightro's new assets and working on them once they are ready. And again, ETA for the update is sometime in September. 1
Kuroyami Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 A draft of a work detailing some information on one of the Selachii's best known Queens, Himiko. Gift of the Gods(may be a working title) Spoiler In the 125th year of Queen Himiko's reign, she was greeted by the captain of a ship, claiming his explorations have yielded the location of an entity believed lost to the race, One that was revered, worshiped, even though most had little idea as to this figure being real, or ever having existed. Regardless, this Selachii suggested that an island he found was either where this entity lived, or where it had been laid to rest some time ago. Queen Himiko expressed desire to sail to this island, leaving behind her still young, but respected daughter as regent, in her stead. Setting sail on her personal ship, she was accompanied by many of her personal handmaidens. Aboard this ship were but five male Selachii, each experienced Sailors whom the queen trusted. But they were merely here to see us to this island safely. They were only allowed to see the Queen when she desired for it or it was absolutely necessary, and the majority of her time was spent with her handmaidens. The one whom served her personally aboard this voyage, was known as Sakura. This may lead to, exactly what you might expect. Though I will say this - Himiko in this depiction is of course a Selachii, and, female. 1
Kuroyami Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Added some in-game information for a few characters: Akario, Enkai, Hito, Kira, and Nami - to the Planned Characters Entry. Added an entry(still unpublished), which contains the timeline for the race. Contains two sections at this point, for Pre and Post(departure of) Akavir. Pre-Akavir Spoiler >Queen Himiko rules the Selachii for 150 years, before she fades into history. >In the 105th year of her reign, Queen Himiko was first seen to be pregnant by her people. >In a season of falling snow, Queen Himiko gives birth to twin children, a boy and a girl - Kōsetsu and Yukiko. >Many have reason to believe that, one of the Queen's handmaidens is the "father" - they are not concerned with this knowledge, be it fact or rumor. >In the 125th year of her reign, Queen Himiko sails to an island where she meets with an entity known as Taiyo to Tsuki, supposedly the progenitor of the Selachii race. >Yukiko takes the throne as regent during this time, due to her brother being younger. There is of course, more to this. May also change some of the numbers. 1

TheLastKhajiit Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 I've been playing a lot as a Selachii lately, and I was wondering if we would ever get different skin textures for them like these

He would need the final meshes first to build the textures on, though, so at the very least it will have to wait until after the new assets are done in September (and it's not even sure to happen).
Scautura Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 Pardon the presumption, but I've slowly been working through converting this to work with SSE (for personal use and for a friend). Would I be allowed to publish the conversion (with credit - this is definitely not my work and original creators (speaking generally; specifically, you, Blaze69 and the rest of the credits) deserve the credit for it!) once complete? I'll admit, I'm not generally a modder (although I have dabbled in a few mods), and very much not a modeller, so right now I'm suffering with wrist/neck seams and would take any suggestions! Note: I wouldn't want to release a conversion with obvious mismatches. It's fine for personal use, but I know people would blame the original author for my issues.

I don't know exactly when will that happen (maybe right after posting the update, maybe a bit later), but so far I fully intend to do so. At first it will only be a port of the Nexus/Lite release (so no NPC plugin, no female SOS stuff, and the male SOS addons will be optional instead of SOS being a hard requirement of the race plugin itself); once YA is ported to SE and there's progress with female SOS stuff in SE as well I'll look into getting the main version ported too. And for the record, by the time I would be able to work on a hypothetical SE port of the current version, I will be already working on the upcoming update anyway, so IMO it's not worth doing it now; better to get the update done first and then port it than having to do the port twice on such a short time span. As for someone else posting said port (in this case you), I'd be more comfortable posting the update myself, because that way I can ensure its quality and provide proper support for the mod; I'm not saying you wouldn't do it, but I don't know you or the way you work so I can't be sure. If I had no plans to make a SE port of the mod myself, I'd probably give you green light provided proper credit was given and it was made clear that it was not an "officially sanctioned and managed" port so I couldn't be held responsible for port-related issues or lack of support. But since I do intend to make a port myself, I'd like to post it myself. Hope you understand.

Kuroyami Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 May be publishing it soon, but here are some more bits from the timeline entry. Pre(Departure of)-Akavir Spoiler >The Selachii encounter the Tsaesci, and enter into a conflict that lasts for a year. >During this conflict, a human soldier who had faithfully served the Tsaesci, arrives in their capital, and presents to the Tsaesci rulers his wife and child - both of the Selachii race. Once they understand what they are looking at, this marks the beginning of cooperation between the Selachii and Tsaesci. >The Selachii are asked to provide soldiers for the Tsaesci's invasion of Tamriel, during the 1st era - they refuse, but allow members of their race to choose for themselves. >Selachii are first seen on the shores of Tamriel during the Tsaesci's 1st Era invasion, but records of the race being involved are non-existent, or based on rumors. >The Selachii refuse to take part in the Tsaesci's invasion of Tamriel during the 2nd Era, due to not believing in their allies stated reasons. >It is believed that, due to this choice on the part of the Selachii, certain groups among the Tsaesci begin growing a distrust of their allies. Post(Departure of)-Akavir Spoiler >A few hundred years into the 2nd Era Interregnum, the Selachii arrive on the shores of Black Marsh for a second time, and are greeted peacefully by the native Argonians. >The Selachii settle on a large island to the South of Black Marsh, and in a few years, they have the beginnings of a large city. They eventually name it Same-Shuto, which many regard as simple, but effective. >A large deposit of silver is discovered on the ocean floor surrounding the Selachii named capital city of Same-Shuto, and the Selachii begin mining the material within two years. >Silver becomes the Selachii's currency, though it is a material they seemingly used before in Akavir. They value it more than the use of Gold by the other provinces of Tamriel. >Statues depicting Kaiyo and Marin are erected two years after their departure, within the plaza leading to the Council building >These statues are built alongside an existing monument - a Cherry Blossom tree, which was brought from Akavir as a sapling, and has survived since their arrival in Tamriel. >When the Selachii first saw these three monuments together, they noted a certain similarity to the Mitsudomoe(a symbol that exists among the Akaviri culture they embraced), and believed they coincidentally represented three things: >Statue of Kaiyo - War >Statue of Marin Kai - Knowledge >Cherry Blossom Tree - Peace 1
Blaze69 Posted August 16, 2018 Author Posted August 16, 2018 31 minutes ago, Kuroyami said: May be publishing it soon, but here are some more bits from the timeline entry. Neat. Certainly looking forward to reading the whole entry. One idea that just came up: the "peaceful greeting" by Argonians on their arrival to Black Marsh sounds a bit weird, what with the history of previous Akaviri invasions and all; since all that's come from that direction have been enemy invaders and all, it would be weird for them to be suddenly friendly to them this time... unless the Hist was involved, that is. We know it can basically mind-control Argonians or at the very least heavily influence their thoughts (see the massive migration of Argonians back to Black Marsh right before and during the Oblivion Crisis as an example), so if for some reason the Hist wanted to help the Selachii, it very well could make Argonians be friendly to them and give them the support they would have needed to settle and such. As for why would the Hist want to do so... no idea (yet). Then again, does anything the Hist does have a clear purpose? Just an idea, in case it can be suggested or hinted at in the lore.
