All you have to do is guess. That's it. Or, "I have no idea" is also an acceptable answer.

I just did both. Although I guess it' fair to say it's not true I have no idea, since I gave three possibilities of what it might be.

Someone was trying to say that this picture is Titanic leaving Southampton for her maiden voyage.

Tell me if you can see what's wrong with that claim.

It's a dubious claim from the internet on a topic that I have almost no knowledge of, so I'm going to assume that either the photo is edited or that the ship isn't actually the Titanic.

Spoiler

To be entirely upfront, I'm not a big enough history nerd to get why the claim doesn't work, so I did a reverse image search on the photo to see if I could find the source. From what I found, the photo depicts the Lusitania at New York Harbor in 1907. The Titanic, by contrast, departed from Southampton’s White Star Dock in 1912 on her maiden voyage to New York. So, not only is that not the Titanic, it's not departing from Southampton either.

Just for funsies, here's a picture of the Titanic leaving Southampton:

Was doing all that cheating? Does me doing all that go against the point of the original question? Maybe, but I learned something kinda neat.

Yes, it was cheating. But good work.

There was no way I was gonna figure it out on my own, so yeah lol. What tipped you off about the picture?

See, this is why my first post was what it was. You can't tell, without being a massive history buff, what iswrong with the claim that the photo depicts the Titanic. That's the difference between that and something like "Headlines in November 1918 declared 'Allies win World War I'."

It was meant to be for people who knew what it was. If you didn't know, it wasn't a big deal.

If it'd been me, I would have said "Some claim this picture depicts the Titanic leaving Southampton, but it really depicts the Lusitania" (or whatever).  But, you're right, it;'s not a big deal, either way.

The 2 ships may look similar at first glance, but there are differences that one can notice. For example, Titanic had a white trim along the top of her hull, while Lusitania’s was all black. Also, Titanic’s funnels are spaced further apart than Lusitania’s.

When I saw that picture labeled “Titanic departing from Southampton,” I laughed and thought, “That is not Titanic. That’s Lusitania.”

I was trying to have fun by making people guess.

> It's a weird "phenomenon" - girls who wear very short dresses or skirts that you can see their panties don't mind who sees it, but when they wear pants that break in the middle when they squat, they cover that place by hands being ashamed people see their panties. The explanation for this is straightforward: they are either hypocrites who pretend to be decent or their underwear is dirty for they didn't wipe their asses and pussies well after using a toilet.😁

No because it is well known that is was another member of the party who got the killing shot and Teddy got the credit for propaganda purposes. 😃

I still don't understand how people can believe the whole Titanic-Olympic switch theory. It takes 5 minutes of research to understand why it's BS.

The Titanic sank. Olympic didn't. Plain and simple.

Gotham is a pretty good show. It's on my mind because I am watching it for the first time after being told it's a pretty good show.

You know what else is on my mind, every time I look at this thread, in fact? That I think the Pet Shop Boys cover of You Were Always on My Mind is the best version.
