You're in good company. In his Man and Superman George Bernard Shaw says much the same thing (read it if you don't believe me - Act III). IIRC there is also a two part Frasier episode based on it.
Guest Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 My friend Babydoll asked me an interesting question via a text. She asked, "If Cinderella's slipper fit perfectly, why did it fall off?" She has a good point. In the original Grimm's version, the slipper came off when the prince put molasses on the step to prevent Aschenputtel (Cinderella's name in this version) from running away. However, in other versions, it just came off. That makes no sense.
legendarytoyou Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 (edited) Currently what's giving my install of New Vegas grief. I REALLY don't want to have to reinstall the game just to make it work but it keeps CTD every time I try to load a save. I posted on Fallout3/New Vegas Technical Support but so far no response. Even posted the crash log. 😭 Besides that doing pretty good all things considered. Would love a beer but when your a broke Mexican you do what you have to set things right.🤣 Edited January 31, 2024 by legendarytoyou
Guest Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 legendarytoyou, it seems your character didn't like the new hairstyle. No kidding, your crash log is a little strange. Although I am not a computer machine to be able to read crash logs for all games, the final code that indicates some kind of incompatibility between your system and the game. That's why I say the report is a bit strange. You say you can't load a save, but have you tried starting a new game? Maybe you can remember the actions you performed exactly before you received this broken save. If the problem really is only in a specific save file, it’s probably not a big problem and you can try using at least a backup save.

Guest Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 > My daughter will attend the test of intelligence today at 17.30 for the school in the autumn. She had an unofficial one some time ago and she is smarter than the children of her age. If she passes the test, she will go to the same private (Italian) school and the same class as her brother who is a year older. I am very excited about it. I have no doubt she will make me proud.

Grey Cloud Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Just watched a vid about the latest Skyrim update. The guy said he recommends downgrading your version if you want to be rid of the mod-breaking etc. He then said he would be updating his downgrading video. 🥴 2

Kind of funny if you think about it
Guest Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 > February is my favorite month of the year because of Valentine's, our anniversary, and my daughter's birthday

Valentine's Day is less than worthless for single men. It's commercialist trash, just like Christmas, while adding salt to the wounds of lonely men. 2024 is a leap year though, meaning the month does get one more day. Personally I think it depends on how much a couple, people, any amount of anyone really, makes those events their own. By which I mean it can be commercialist trash, which it sadly is for most people, or it can be something greater than that. Although I do think that if you need to largely rely on specifically preset dates during which to show your affection and care for others, you're unlikely to be a lasting couple. Similarly, events for with having fun, live that dreary life up a little if you "need" to rely on select days!

I see it as a holiday to guilt trip couples to buy sweets they don't need. As if people weren't busy enough as is. Also diabetes.
Alessia Wellington Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Such a cute little fellow. I want one too. Spoiler 3

I mean, think about it, what if it was for keeping a blood pet? Blood doesn't flow so well when its source is crystallised, although a vampire intently sucking on a thumbsicle that won't melt is funny in its own right. Besides, I'd figured rigor mortis would be very felt for an undead entity such as yourself if stranded in the arctic. 1

It's all about those post-holiday reduced price candy assortments for me. Speaking of single dudes, I'm not sure if I'm actually lonely or if I'm just bored. I have friends and hobbies and shit, but I only really get that feeling of "maybe I should get a girlfriend" when I'm at family gatherings. Seems kinda fucked up to start a relationship with someone just so you don't go to family dinners by yourself though.
