What's on your mind?

Apparently people have been whining about Hogwarts Legacy not being one of the game of the year award nominations or something. If you are one of those people complaining you fall into one of two camps. Either you wanted it to win because you thought the game was good or you wanted the game to win for other reasons. If you did it because you thought the game was good then I have news for you. The game wasn't good enough. It is just one of those games that suffers from the same curse that most other adaptions seem to suffer from. I'm talking about the curse of it being "Eh. Okay". If you thoroughly enjoyed the game regardless of the game awards then good for you. That is what games are there for. Now if you are part of the second camp then well you're kind of missing the point of videogames.

I'll be perfectly honest. I find people shitting their pants over a glorified game advertisement posing as an award is just pathetic if a little amusing.

> I learned this morning (thanks to my mom) that left-handed people were considered less intelligent, weird, and kind of mentally ill people in ex-Yougoslavia. Some studies confirmed those theories but they are not set as natural rules and causes, rather as possibility.  What they never told people was that being a left-handed person has several superior advantages over right-handed. My Prince and my Fran are left-handed and I see only very intelligent and skilled persons. None of the mentioned shortcomings is present.

You know.... only left handed people are in their right mind*.

I am a right hander.

*left handed people access the right side of the brain where right handers use the left side.

Bouncing back (Health Wise) is not as easy as when I was younger, why do so many things happen when we are older?!

So many procedures the Physicians want to perform after the age of 60 is getting quite ridiculous, Go here and get this done, Go there and do that, have this test, take that examination.

The kicker is they don't think a thing about sending you 150 miles away, one way, to get a test, then you have to go again to have a procedure, and again for a follow up visit, then there is always a big bill waiting for you that was over and above the insurance pay-out....

Medicine has gotten too big, too impersonal, too costly.

A friend of mine who had a heart attack was charged 16,000.00 USD for a 5 minute helicopter shuttle to the Hospital, and that was cheap considering some I have heard of...

Thanks for listening!

It's just what was on my mind.

how do people pay for medical interventions like chopper transportation if they have no money?

     They don't.

Do the paramedics ask them that

In the US they don't ask (EMTALA-law that prevents them from asking)

or do they deliver them to the hospital and hand the the bill later?

     Yes.

It varies. Since the passage of the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) there is a cap on how much money an American has to pay for health care every year. Like everything else the government does this is not an absolute nor is it perfect. That being said, for most middle-class people the cap is affordable (if somewhat overwhelming at the time). For those who are poorer they usually wind up declaring personal bankruptcy and paying little of their bill (or none at all).

Usually the Hospital that sends the Helicopter out sets up a bill payment system, So much a month till you either die, or pay the bill.

There are several hospitals (at least in major cities) that have sliding scale. Depends on what you make. When I was in college I made nothing for a year. I had to go apply (see their social worker) and got my card. Free medical (and medicine) for that year. AFter since I didn't make much. I had 90 % coverage

Recently with Covid times, I was in the hospital (different reason than covid) and had surgery. I paided a lot of it however couldn't pay the last part. About 3 thousand dollars. I contacted them and asked for it to be waved. I sent in my financials and they approved it. I had too many bills that year.

Those that can pay but don't want to , just get it judged against their credit. Most of the time they don't go to court to try to garnish your wadges.

Scientists Have Bad News for Astronauts’ Genitals

Talk about a problem of cosmic, uh, proportions. A recent rat study conducted by NASA-funded researchers found that deep space travel might inflict long-lasting erectile dysfunction symptoms on male astronauts — a problem that may even persist after they return to Earth.

Apparently there is a manga called The Strongest Wizard Becomes a Countryside Guardsman After Taking an Arrow to the Knee

There's a manga about being a Whiterun guard?

> As much as Grammarly is helpful to my English, two things bother me as hell: First, although it supposes to be a self-learning program that learns about writers' writing style and adapts to it accepting certain terminology and style of writing, it is stubborn as an ass forbidding me using the form of the sentences I prefer, and second, most of the time it doesn't recognize the first letter of the sentence as small and doesn't offer a suggestion for correction. I wrote about that issue to the company that made it, and I was ignored.

> The day started nicely with a little rain that was more romantic than annoying. I was in a very good mood. Two hours ago the day turned into a windy, cold, and heavy raining day that ruined the mood of most people. Everyone looked depressed and burdened. Except for my luvs, my crazy barbarians whose mood was very high. When didn't have obligations they sang, danced, kissed, and fucked in my office. My Fran and I still cannot figure out how they can be full of energy during such weather when everyone is slow, down and just wants to go home, sit by the fireplace, and enjoy in warmth. My Prince surely "contaminated" my Ivy to love such weather as he does. And when I told them they annoy me (it was a joke), they told me they'll fuck me good and long under the hot shower when we arrive home, and after they swim in the very wavy sea.
