landess Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I'm happy they're testing the national alert system. One should always do so before USING it.

Kraven12 Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 (edited) Todays starfield( many are filled with hate) is yesterday's Cyberpunk 2077(now they love). Like both, still waiting for a good chunk of fixes before purchases. Edited October 5, 2023 by Kraven12
But there is one major difference ... or better two 1. "Cyberpunk" was an interesting and varied game from the beginning ... "StarField", on the other hand, is BORING to the point of no return. Complaints were made about "Cyperpunk" because of the low performance and the bugs ... in StarFiled mainly because of non-existing things like "buggies" for planet exploration or space suit mechanics. 2. with "Cyberpunk" the game manufacturer had fixed the bugs ... with "StarField" we know that the manufacturer can't do this at all!!! In the last 20 years, they have always left this to their "freelancers" - that is, the mod community. Only if and when these people sacrifice their free time to take care of the most boring game in years ...

Idyll Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 (edited) I've been feeling off-track for almost a year now, and barely found in myself the time or even the thought of finding the time to talk about things outside of what weighs over me, whether with myself or others. You know, stuff that stimulates the mind haha. I stumbled upon this and I've been strangely comforted knowing that I'm not the only one having noticed and pondered what's discussed in this video. In this video he's just scratching the surface of how to make willful use of one's mind to affect reality, one's own, usually specifically - which is often a rather restricted "affectable area;" for lack of a better word; area of which the range can be expanded if steps are taken towards doing so, like expanding a sandbox to play in, I believe, but that's another, neighbouring rabbit hole. I'm not so attracted to the matters of how the topic pertains to money and successful business that the interviewer seem laser focused on, understandably so too, I mean, his angle was likely to glean from Proctor knowledge in a way that is understandable for most others that would also help them within the bounds of their respective societies, translating food for thought in a registerable way that might lead to more prosperous individuals. After all, exploring the expanses of the mind's potential is great and fine, but until we are unlocked from our physical aspects, we Humans, as I concur with his thought of "being locked in a physical world,"* must contend with physical needs. (Though I've my own thoughts on the matter haha.*) Still I find it that, as a whole, the approach generally honed in "mindly exploration" to be displaying a flaw in how the Human world wove itself, which isn't a such charming tapestry. The matters of the mind haven't been explored as thoroughly, generally underestimated or even looked down upon in favour of more physical aims and even to this day I'm afraid it remained a subject barely touched by many and, most often when it is, it is done so to further strictly physical designs rather than mindly, whether also or purely. I'm pretty crafty with words but I admit that this one of those I remember being weird for me in my earliest school days, like, mixing up with stuff like "acquit" and other such sounding words that don't share an ounce of meaning.
Guest Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Just got done putting a handle on kukri I forged. Spoiler This is not the one I forged. This is for people who don't know what a kukri is. I made it from a car axle that I bought at the local scrapyard. The kukri is my favorite knife to forge. People always complain about how hard it is to forge a kukri. I say that they just don't know what they're doing. The trick is to make sure that you forge the top half wide and keep the bottom half lean, therefore you get the shape you want. It's not that hard. The one I made is by far the best one I've made yet. I didn't do Damascus on this one, but I did do a nice acid etch on it to make it look awesome. I just need to let the epoxy cure overnight before I can truly test it.
