That implies there was a time where people weren't stupid. I am not that optimistic. It is simply a different brand of stupid. Being on a more cramped planet seem to make the stupid ones stand out more. Well humanity isn't dying out for better or worse.

I just had this realization that my perception of what a MILF is has changed from what it used to be. I used to view a MILF as “a sexy older woman,” but now that I’m in the age group as the average MILF, I view them as “an attractive woman with a kid.”

 

Slight difference, but it feels significant.

I would argue that neither the relative quantity nor the relative quality of stupidity has risen, we merely invented more ways for stupidity to be expressed.

I'd argue that people have gotten smarter, we got lead out of petroleum and added iodine to salt. Propaganda has just outstripped the benefits.
