Yiffy Age of Skyrim

After playing around with a few things, I've come to find out that the YAUSLEEP patch was causing quite a few CTDs for me. I'd get within 30 feet of Angie's(SP? That old woman who's training her daughter/cousin to become a witch) house, and I'd CTD, I'd get close to that meadery south of Whiterun, and that would CTD me too, I'd get close to the Colledge of Winterhold, and..yeah that would CTD me too. But removing the YAUSLEEP patch got rid of those problems.(Unfortunately I still have CTDs when using the BanditPatrols plugin for OBIS..but at least I've taken care of one issue. xD) What exactly does that YAUSLEEP patch do, was it for compatibility? Right now, having in my load order only grants me CTDs at random areas when I get to them...without fail. ><

If you don't care, don't run with it. Wherever possible, the USLEEP fixes are included in the base YA mod. But USLEEP changes how briarhearts are handled and introduces some behavior changes (so certain NPCs will sleep at night, for example) and if you want those you need the patch. 

 

I don't know what would be causing the CTD.

So ive been trying for a few hours to figure out how to get the lungaris to have proper digigrade feet like the rest of the races but the only things im running across are either full on boot mods, which applys to everyone (and forces awkward looking boots if I want that foot shape) or im stuck with what looks like a cat shape on the lungari I beleive since its kajiit and the textures are horribly mishmashed. What would I have to do to give them a texture that suits the standard foot shape with the rest of YA?

Lungaris are not compatible with YA out of the box, I'm afraid. You would have to create a digi-feet texture for them and edit the race plugin so it would be used for the feet meshes instead of the body textures as it does by default. You could try taking the Sabrelion paw textures, desaturating them, and tweaking them in a texture editor to try to get them to match the Lungaris bodies, though, which would save some work.

Alright, well I can figure out the color editing for the saberlion. Though I dont know how to find the foot texture in creation kit I only can find the body texture. And that would change all the orcs feet colors too correct? Just wanting to know possible side effects on that.

You are not supposed to edit the Sabrelion texture itself, but rather duplicate it and edit the duplicate (leaving the original texture intact). Then you edit the Lungaris plugin so it points to that edited duplicate for the feet textures and also uses YA's paw meshes instead of human ones.

Circlets and Mage Hoods dont show at all on all canine (human) races and altmer. Hoods and circlets work on all beast and feline (elf/orc) races (except altmer). On my breton character console shows that circlet uses circletF1.nif (though it is invisible) and all the race entries under Circlet01AA and CircletDogAA looks ok. YiffyAge is beneath any armor mods and I checked with TES5Edit that nothing overrides "Armor Addon" or "Armor" entries (and YiffyAge with its patches overrides only skyrim  and usleep). What could be the reason? Where should I look to find conflict?

For whatever reason I cannot get the bodies to change. The face changes okay but the bodies and hands of the characters do not change no matter what I do. The feet also turn into a texture-less mass that's shaped like paws as well.

Oh. Jesus, guy. If you put USLEEP in the bashed patch and then put that after YA, of course all those edits will override YA's edits. As I recall, USLEEP does fuck with the circlets. Move your bashed patch before YA and see what happens.

Backtracking on this because I just caved in and finally gave SE another shot. Short answer: yes, it sure looks like it.

 

Graphics are utter garbage when compared with a Legendary + ENB setup, and after trying out some ENBs for SE seems like there isn't much to be done about it (unless Boris adds more features and/or someone creates a Rampage-level preset for SE). But they are at least better than original Skyrim with no ENB so it's somewhat bearable. Key word "somewhat", as it still looks bad.


As for stability/performance, I haven't played for long so I don't know how it works long-term, but it sure does work better. The fact that I can walk around Bruma, Ben Erai, Riften or even freaking Riverwood with rock-solid 60 FPS instead of dropping to somewhere between 30 and 50 is good enough to warrant keeping the game installed. Would have to see what happens when I add DynDOLOD and some hi-res texture replacers to the mix, but if it keeps up, I'll have to (reluctantly) admit SE is much better than Legendary on that aspect.

 

From what I've seen, this is what would need to be done to port the mod to SE:

  • Load the YA plugin(s) in the SE CK and save them again so they are changed to Form 44. SE can still load Legendary plugins but it's not recommended as it can cause unstability or crashes, especially considering how much stuff YA changes. No need to change anything, just load them up and hit "Save".
  • Convert the nifs to be SSE-compliant. There is an automated converter that can process files in bulk, so that shouldn't be too hard. The problem is head parts have to be handled separately from everything else so you would have to move all the heads and head part nifs to a separate folder and process them separately from the others. A bit tedious to get set up but once they are separate it's just a matter of selecting the folders and waiting for the program to be done.
  • Fix the textures. SSE can't handle the L8 (Grayscale) DDS format which pretty much all the speculars in YA use, and by "can't handle" I mean "it CTDs as soon as it tries to load one such texture". So those would have to be resaved either as DXT1 (quality loss, smaller size) or as R8G8B8 (no quality loss, bigger size). There's also the new BC7 format introduced in DX11 which offers the quality of R8G8B8 with the small size of DXT, but seems like most texture-editing programs (except for Photoshop) can't handle that format yet so we may have to pass on that.
  • Re-export all FaceGen. The changes to the meshes in SE also applied to the way FaceGen works, so it can't simply be converted using the tool like normal meshes can, but rather needs to be re-exported from the CK. Shouldn't be hard as the process is the same as in Legendary, just time consuming.

Some meshes or textures could need to be manually checked/fixed if the converter screws up on them, but in theory this shouldn't happen or should be very limited in number.

 

If you really want to go ahead with it after doing the birds, I'd say the best course of action would be to make all the changes/edits/additions that are left or you may want to the normal YA and then port that "final"/"complete" version to SE.

 

EDIT: there's also the fact that CBBE has become the de-facto body choice for SE, so the SE version of YA should probably include CBBE assets instead of UNP ones. Though UNP bodies have been ported too, so I don't know.

Hey! I have a weird glitch with Sophia where it appears that she gets a dick no matter what the Schlongs settings are. Do you have any idea what it is?


I have included the Schlongs screenshot of Sophia via internal settings, a shot of the MCM settings, and then for comparison purposes, a internal settings screenshot of a perfectly normal male PC. I note that the ACTOR SPELL section is TRUE/TRUE.

  1. What is the Actor Spell section?
  2. How do I unSpell the actor, if that's what's causing the dong!

I'm having a problem now when I try to leave the Abandoned Prison area through any means, my game goes through the loading screen and then just CTDs. It's never done this before even with my long modlist. What could YA be conflicting with to where I can't even enter the overworld?

@anon, no idea. That's not something I've seen. Alternate Start is still at the end, right? I'm getting a patch together with reduced texture sizes. That might be worth trying out... I'm guessing memory issues could be causing various craziness.

 

For Sofia, poor girl, I've never seen that before. SOS is claiming it didn't touch her. Try putting the "Bad Dog Female Schlong" on her--it's regular female equipment at unaroused levels so maybe it will push that thing she's sporting off.

Unfortunately this only works until the next load of the character, whether it be when she puts clothes on or whether you take a door. It seems that the Actor Spell system is ostensibly true, but I can't work out what that means.

Edit: Following the instructions you're suggesting, to put on the female schlong and then switch her back to NoSchlong will lead to her having a strapon - a very curious issue! Is SexLab confused?

If she then wears armor, the strapon is retained!

Female schlongs are a bit of an issue.

 

I'm a couple of scotches in, so this may be confused but... If you want futa females, which the hyenas want to be, because they're hyenas (google it), then you can't really use the SOS/SL arrangement bc SL doesn't understand female dicks very well. So instead there's the "BD female schlong" option which only shows up if your females have a hard on. So if your females are poking a strapon through their clothes you've got some mod which is making them aroused and telling SOS about it (Sexlab Aroused most likely). But I actually put a check in so that an aroused female who's not doing the nasty won't get the aroused mesh which is the strapon so they won't poke through the clothes so if you're seeing that maybe you don't have the latest download? And of course SOS should be preventing that anyway through the "SOSRevealing" keyword which should not be put on regular armor, but maybe it doesn't work for females. 

 

ANYWAY, the bottom line is the latest version of YA is supposed to prevent this so if that's what you have I want to know and I'll have a look at it.

Here's a reduced-size texture set for anybody who thinks their system may be running low on resources. I shrank all the texture files greater than 10K in size. Let me know how it works for you.

New Version? Righto, I'll check my mods when I get home from work and see whether that helps it then. I've noticed that whenever I have issues that seems to be the common thread :smile:

Thanks. My spare computer has been struggling with Skyrim because it doesn't have enough vRAM and RAM to run Skyrim properly at 1080p.

Unfortunately that's done nothing for my BanditPatrols plugin for OBIS...I'm still CTDing when npcs made by that plugin appear, or at least when I go to where they'd be. Like I said last time, they're in spots all over skyrim, and I don't exactly know where all the spots are.

Added the files for the Mehrunes Dagon statue to a more vanilla setup - I think it is something that can easily be a standalone mod.

The Revealing keyword works for both genders, though it's main function is actually to let anything in slot 52 remain or be equipped to a character, which may be intended for a SOS addon, but works with SOS to let the top and bottom pieces in some bikini armor mods, like the Amazing World of Bikini Armor, be equipped together(though this is not explicitly the intention, but needed if using that mod with SOS).
