@emily1673 unfortunately, the newest version of YPS still has the bug/conflict between nail meshes and DD gloves. Everything was working fine up until 6.8.x. Don't suppose you have a handy solution for this problem, like DD keywords working like ypsFingerlessGloves? Anyway, that is a bit of a problem for me. And since I'm on LE, I can't use Sha's nails. Quite a bummer.

There are several nail mods for LE that work with YPS and are not using the hand slot. See mod description.

Coming back around to the idea of unlocking the cock cage. I get what you're saying, so here's another direction maybe: get a high enough relationship rank with the doctor and some priestesses while maintaining a low enough arousal (the reason you're in the cage), they give you some sort of test to prove you can control yourself and if you pass that, you get told about a special something you have to find that you can take to a blacksmith to have the cage removed. Or, you know, you could just talk to Sanguine and being a daedric prince, he could make the cage go *poof* because shenanigans and a chance to mess with Dibella.

Hi! I'm running into an error when i'm asking to get the professional manicure from Yolie in the follower of dibella quest. After the dialogue ends i get an error saying:

Quote

(Nail form /[yps] almond/ red/ does not exist, or syntax error in json file.)

Any idea what could be the problem? I'm playing on SE if that matters.

If anyone cares / is interested in it:

A quick and dirty (honestly no idea why the Keyword added as Property didn't work at all...) put together MCM to add / remove the YPSFingerlessGloves Keyword to gloves while playing. Very short overview:

  • Add & remove keyword while playing in MCM
  • Saved in savegame ( i guess.. No Idea If this will reset If the Item is moved to a Container, etc)
  • MCM dripdown will only list gloves (= uses slot 33) you have in inventory
  • Up to 128 entries (as mentioned above, gloves only, so this should be enough in a normal playthrough)
  • Item list is retrieved when opening the config menu so IT should Not interfere while playing*

* it loops over ALL items in inventory, so if you love being over encumbered and have lots of items in your inventory this might take a moment (or might even fail?)

Requires SKSE, PO3 Papyrus Extender, MCM Helper and ofc YPS.

No intention to expand this in any way, including being able to select the other YPS keywords. I was annoyed that mod added gloves I was wearing were "fingerless" but I did not have them added to KID and wished for a way to do it ingame when needed. Thats it.

Added another file where I changed some minor things, hoping to better detect anything that could count as gloves (mainly by keyword "ClothingHands" or "ArmorGauntlets" but also by the slotmask (33, 34, 33&34).

YPSNailKYWD_0.1.7z 3.29 kB · 12 downloads YPSNailKYWD_0.2.7z 3.46 kB · 15 downloads

SIDE NOTE ABOUT THE KID FILE INCLUDED IN THE SHAS' NAIL FILE:

Not sure if I simply made a typo or I wrote the file before the actual keyword was added, but the file included applies a wrong keyword (unless @emily1673 is checking for both).
In the File it uses YPS_FingerlessGloves  which has an additional "_" added. The .esp file provided by emily includes the keyword YPSFingerlessGloves so the included lines would have to be corrected.

e.g.

Keyword = 0x270382~yps-ImmersivePiercing.esp|Armor|*Nightingale Gloves

or

Keyword = YPSFingerlessGloves|Armor|*Nightingale Gloves

Sorry about that.

Attached is a file where this is done
YPS_Gloves_KID.7z

Or if you want to Copy&Paste the full contents in the following spoiler:

I'm having an issue where I add the keyword but still can't equip the item. Am I doing something wrong?

This was a bug in a previous version, which should have been fixed in 6.8.4.1

What matters here is the content of the file ypsItemsSE.json, and in particular the following two lines:

    "dibellaquestnailmodelnailshape": "[shas] almond",
    "dibellaquestnailmodelnailcolor": " red"

Maybe you didn't install Shas's nails. In that case, either install them, or change the lines in ypsItemsSE.json (to be the same as in ypsItems.json,)

Are you using external nails that do not use slot 33 (the hands slot)? If you use nails (e.g. the YPS built-in ones) those are using slot 33 and count as gloves. These are NEVER checked for the keyword, as they use the same slot as any gloves / gauntlets anyway.

You can also notice this by the debug message in the top corner. If you use slot 33 nails, there isn't any message shown, if you use other slot nails, it should say something about the gloves being unequipped because of long nails.

Alternatively, if you use KID, you could try adding the keyword with it. If you can equip gloves with the nails afterwards then there might be indeed an issue with the keyword application (I never noticed any), if that doesn't work either its likely what I wrote above about the slot (or a case edge bug in the script checking for equipped nails).

There is a new version of Devious Devices NG out. Released August 3. It's v 0.3.7. The following is from the author:

Backwards compatibility with any mods dependent on Devious Devices SE should be preserved but you will need a new game.

Oh, I see. Yea I was using the YPS built-in ones. That makes sense.

I have been playing with the flirt dialogue a little bit now and would like to make observations and requests. First of all skyrim mods need dialogue like this. Its pretty awesome. There are few things that annoy me a lot though.
1) The flirt system adds 2 dialogue branches at the main branch. One seems to be intended for top and another one for the female. As one is passive flirt and 2nd is active. I am torn but it feels really awful to have 2 branches at the main level of the dialogues. Would it be possible to have option to take one of them away?
2) I reached the point when the 3 branch on the main level comes that says something "[you have become weak to his presence]" when I talked he suggested for me to become his gf. This seems really bad like its passive line on main branches. It should be either force dialogue or line that come if you try to flirt when you become soft for someone. Also it feels pointless to say you feel weak for someone if you can still decline his proposition for something.
3) When the suggestion for becoming gf comes. It would be cool if you could downplay it or at least try to sway the npcs for sex and kinda dodge the question. The NPC could resist and even you were successful this option should make you weaker for the NPC requests.

You can turn these off in the MCM. On the final page, in the right hand column, just below player sexual orientation and swap orientation on gender change are two options. Allow Active Stance and Allow Passive Stance. Both are enabled by default. Disabling one of those options should remove those dialogue options leaving you with only one.

Ah thanks for the pointer will do. Think that both are on by default is bit silly though.

I just began a Skyrim VR playthrough with YPS and for some reason none of the tats apply, makeup or nails. I tried the manual "add/remove tats" in the SlaveTats MCM. I was just wondering if anyone else tried playing with this mod in VR and was having similar issues. This mod works so well with Bimbos of Skyrim so I was really hoping to experience it more in VR xD

At the part of Dibella quest where Yorcyn is supposed to remove your old manicure and replace it with a new one, however whenever I sit down for it the game doesn't let me as my character is still acting as a hand model. Any way to fix this so I can advence the quest?

You will have to find something else to do until your PC has finished her hand modelling gig. When you got the hand modelling done how many days did you set the interval for in the MCM? That's how many days your PC will need to wait before she can get the new manicure. Do you have a mirror? Try using it to see if it will tell you how much longer you will need to wait.

Any that are not using the hand slot (= slot 33) should be fine.

[edit] Additional note: With HN nails you can run into slot conflicts with DD items. So better avoid these for the Dibella quest.

Aye, it's saying that all my makeup is permanent.

Alright. You are following Danica's suggestion that you get yourself a new "look". This takes place in stages and, as far as I can tell, you need to do it exactly as choreographed. With each stage, the game "releases" that part of your appearance from being locked in place. I don't remember the exact wording but you should now be getting messages after each stage telling you that your hair will now grow, that you can now change your nail polish color and lastly that your makeup can be changed.

This mod is crazy complicated, I want to install it primarily for the Follower of Dribella questline.

What should I concentrate on to explore all available paths for a male character completing the Follower of Dribella questline?

Hey! Thanks for the awesome mod! I will never play without this.

Having said that, I have an issue with arched feet. They have seams with my body (character weight 50, but using Obody NG, which iirc only uses 0 weight sliders when it applies a preset NEVERMIND Obody NG uses all weights).

Zero body and my particular preset have both ankle & wrist sliders at 100% at 0 weight, and 0% at 100 weight (as I think they should be??). With all this, arched feet seem to be a bit larger than my body at the seams.

Edit: Also, since YPS doesn't come with its own CalienteTools folder, I assumed it was using feet mesh from something else, like DD, so I went through all the feet meshes BodySlide recognized and rebuilt them, but it didn't help.

This was the only set of feet I found to be somewhat close to what you see in game, but they're "upside down", i.e the feet are close to where the head should be, and as such, only relevant, close-by sliders affect them, not ankle sliders.

Not sure I would call it "complicated".  The main mod is oriented towards women's fashion, primarily makeup in all of its permutations. If your main interest in the mod is the Dibella Quest you can ignore most of the fashion aspects. You will get involved in that area but only minimally, although it will have an effect on your character.

As a male, your options will be limited as you progress. Unless you have added the Bimbos of Skyrim (BoS) mod to your load order, there are really only two basic paths through the Quest. I will avoid details as that would make this a spoiler. I will say this, either you reluctantly, almost inadvertently, get changed into a woman or you decide not to. If you have the BoS mod, there is another path which I can't tell you about as I haven't included BoS in my load order and so, have no knowledge of it.

Be advised, Emily is still adding to yps, including new and expanded parts of the Dibella Quest. What I have written above is subject to change based on her additions.

If you have the time and inclination, read the last 20-30 pages of posts here. That will give you an overview of what is likely to come. Also, keep in mind that this is still a Beta so save often. I will note that it is a remarkable stable Beta. Haven't had any unrecoverable glitches to date but YMMV.

Oh, a final word of advice. When you create your character in RaceMenu at the beginning of your playthrough, click on the "Preset" tab at the top right, then click on 'F5 Save Preset'. This way, should you decide not to complete the Dibella Quest you will get back your original character instead of trying to recreate him.

Just play it and enjoy. Oh, and there is no 'r' in Dibella :grin:

Best bet would be to use outfit studio and import the arched feet nifs. Then pull the feet reference and conform sliders. If your body isnt what yps uses for its feet, then you'll have to make the feet manually.

It is complicated for me because I am so bad with computers and spelling! lol.

Thanks much for the advice.

I am in preliminary phase with this mod. I need to do a lot of research and reading and complete more aspects in my main game before I even begin to download and play.

I plan on starting a new game with a male pc for the sole purpose of exploring The Dibella quest.

I might tinker with small aspects for my main female PC.

I will definitely need all kinds of help with this and will appreciate any assistance or advice in the coming months.

I suppose, but I don't know where YPS is pulling the nif from. I sifted all psc files form yps to try to find where it's pointing to, but the best thing I found was "CinderellaFeetItem", which didn't lead to anything useful.

"...

if MCMValues.CinderellaFeet
            Debug.Notification("Your bare feet are firmly stuck in a high heel position.")
            PlayerActor.EquipItem(CinderellaFeetItem,false,true) ; later:false true
            if PlayerActor.GetActorBase().GetSex()==1
                PlayerActor.AddSpell(hdtHighHeelSpell, false) ; need to add the spell here, because of papyrus bug preventing the magic effect of the item from taking effect
            endif
            Utility.Wait(2.0)
        endif

..."
