I tried to install the textures first now, but the installer only asks me if I want to install the Version for LE or SE, looking into the file there should be a lot more questions, wich Hair preset I want to choose and wich kind of Makeup, but those dont show on installation =/
I think it has to do with the manager I use =/

Turn off hair control.

Turn it back on again. The pop up should give you the option of choosing head hair & body hair together. Then check to see if pubic hair growth is enabled afterwards in the mcm.

I have run into an odd issue, for some reason on a save everything worked on, eyeshadow no longer worked, when trying to apply it it only asked for color and never got further. I decided to reinstall the textures to see if it would work and now no textures are showing up, they don't get added to slave tats or show up when applied. all I changed was updating to the latest version (and going back to my older one does not work either) and reinstalling the soundtexturepackage. anyone know how to fix this? play on AE

Next update:

v. 6.5.2
- new feature: Name Change
-- Player can now apply for an official name change. In order to do this, visit one of the city stewards.
-- Player will need to pay a substantial fee, and then will be assigned a random name of the appropriate gender.
-- Name choices can be configured in ypsNames.json. About 800 female and 300 male names are preconfigured.
-- New player name will show in racemenu, in the skills menu and in some other places. Might not work everywhere.
- several improvements to language and grammar (thanks to anonymous515)
- fixed an issue with gender change special effects (thanks to Rogwar002 and sinc)
- fixed KS SMP hairstyle configuration (thanks to TnkQV)
- will now properly detect Ayleid piercings and Sharkish piercings
- one more stage in the Dibella quest (quest currently ends when you are told to sleep in the inn)
- for modders: new mod events

Spoiler
SendModEvent("yps-SetPlayerNameEvent", string NewPlayerName, int RandomName)
; RandomName = 0: will set player name to NewPlayerName
; RandomName = 1: set player name to random male name (ignore NewPlayerName)
; RandomName = 2: set player name to random female name (ignore NewPlayerName)
; (list of random names is stored in ../ypsFashion/ypsNames.json)

SendModEvent("yps-LockPlayerNameEvent", "", int LockName)
; lock name means: YPS will continuously overwrite the player name with the stored "locked" name, thus overriding name changes by other mods or racemenu
; LockName = 0: unlock name; LockName = 1: lock name

I'm honestly not a fan of this latest development. it's been obvious that it was coming since the last update but the names feel too random and, much more importantly, far too modern and immersion breaking for me. Many of them don't feel like names that belong in Tamriel. It feels as if you don't trust the player to have already come up with a suitably lore fitting name that blends in with the world (to be fair a lot of players can't be trusted to do that). It fits the theme of the player unwittingly having things foisted upon them (or being so pathetic they don't stand up for themself) but it still feels a bit jarring.

Also you somehow got James in the female names section. Adrian is also in the female name section (as opposed to Adriane).

(Maybe) Thumb question: How is the "easy" custom hair usage methode working? I have yps and KSHairdos SMP. If I rename the KSHairdos SMP json to ypshairdefault.json nothing happens. Also copied the settings to the default json nothing changes via notepad++. I always have to do the "complicated" way to edit the custom json. Btw. within the last update this seems to not working anymore. The import ingame is not importing anything from the custom json.

On second thought the name change system could be really useful for the Thieves Guild or the Dark Brotherhood (especially if it's on a short term basis when visiting a new location to doa  job then they can go back to their normal name afterwards). I imagine that's the kind of thing a modder could do with it for a different mod.

Since the 6.5.1, it uses random standard hair instead of default hair, which means that the content ypshairdefault.json is irrelevant, unless you manually enable this feature in MCM.

If you enable the fixed set of hair defaults, you must follow the instructions in ypsHairDefault.json  (except that there are 21 hair length stages now, not just 19).

KSHairdosSMP.esp.json is just a configuration file for KS SMP, which has a different format.

Great mod !! just a suggestion, why not add npc comments to other piercings as well. So far they only seem to comment on earrings.

Generally the earrings are visble, for the others the mod would have to check to see if the other piercings are visble or under clothing.

when i install the mod i don't get any option to choose LE or SE, when i launch the game it doesn't register the mcm menu at all.

what's more is that this is seemingly a false install, the .esp isn't in the data folder and the contents of "yps-ImmersiveFashion (6.5.2).7z" have just been dumped into the data folder instead.

before anyone asks, i installed the mod through a mod manager, adding it into the manager then clicking "install & activate"

Currently NPCs will comment on earrings and nail polish, but it is a bit random and can be even annoying sometimes. Once the Dibella quest is done ?, I am considering to revamp the comment system, also to include other (visible) fashion features.

You should try this. When you use the "random hair as default hair feature" (which is enabled by default), then you can safely ignore all the "01 Hair Default" folders.

Registering the MCM menu may need several minutes (not seconds), same as for any other mod.

When programming this feature, I have thought a lot about what different players might actually want or not want. That is why I made it freely configurable, and I have had enough trust that players will be able to edit the ypsNames.json file to fit their individual preferences (it is possible to put just a single name in there). Thank you for pointing out some seemingly odd names, which I will remove from the list (though very oddly, "James" can really be a female name).

Thanks. I'm very grateful for it being fully configurable. Of course the easiest thing to do would be to only put in one name for each gender. Interestingly, have you tested what would happen if a name were removed from the list after it has been assigned. Is the name locked on to the character regardless of the list's contents once assigned or is it being fetched from the list when needed after being assigned?

Also disabling fashion addiction doesn't seem to remove the speech buff at the same time ? (I gave up trying to figure how it works since it starts high and drops even if I don't change anything). Despite being disabled the speech buff continues to change as I apply and remove makeup.

I also get messages about speed debuffs despite the heel training and speed debuff option in it being unticked ?

That would be good. I find it annoying when they comment, get the option about talking further over a glass of wine and then no date! Maybe it could be merged into the flirt function?

I playthrough the Dibella Quest every time it gets updated. Always a good tale to be told. It is really progressing now. Have you thought of a good way to end it yet or is it going to remain a little  open ended so to speak?   And please can we be rid of the iron shoes soon haha,,, so clunky.

Great as always, looking forward to the next instalment when it arrives.

I'm trying to add the 5.4.1 Lite YPS (no sexlab/hh) to a Licentia Black Wabbajack modpack (the pack utilizes OStim over SexLab hence the lite version).  The mod installs well and works for the player, but looking at any of the added NPCs causes a CTD.

According to Crash Logger, it seems to be a facelight type of issue.  I've attached the crash log, but I'm not expecting much support for this due to the mod's ancient version.  Just in case the mod was compiled for LE I ran it through Cathedral, but that's not guaranteed to fix any issues.  Are there any plans to create a Lite version of a newer version of the mod?

Oh yes, there is a plan.

The quest is about 80% done, and soon enough the player will get rid of the devices and locks, and at the end of the quest be totally free (unless they actively decide something else).

Glad you remembered that. The last few updates have been making me somewhat more sceptical about the old claim you made in reference to this. That update shall be a particularly joyous one.
