How do I get the animations to work?

I'm trying a simple concept where my PC is naked, with her hands tied behind her back.

I followed the For Players section and got the ropes to fit. Perfect! Great instructions. But she won't pose in bondage. She's just wandering around, wearing ropes.

I'm playing SE. Have everything required downloaded and installed. Based on other comments in this thread, it looks like DDe and SUM need to synch. I can't figure out how to do that.

Can someone help me why am I getting this with the outfits.  Everything says ok on MCM system.

Which outfit?

You're probably missing some textures.

Not sure I understand. Bondage animations and posing animations usually do not mix, you have to pick one or the other.

Posing is done through SUM.

As long as you do not get any pop-up warnings when you load your game, you should be OK. Other than that, using the latest versions available of both mods should also work.

Sorry. Thinking like a 3D artist, where the two terms are synonymous. Um ... Getting her hands behind her back so she can walk around tied up. Just the rope prop on the hands. As in, she got out of the situation, but she's still naked, hands tied behind her back, and she can't find a dagger anywhere. I can't figure out how to trigger that. Something I'm not doing right, haven't configured, or my eyes are skimming right over the button. That's why I wondered about DDe and SUM needing to synch. DDe shows my character, the rope prop outfit I made, and she's wearing it. SUM still shows the default example that came with the download.

it has been a couple items that cover the body slot, maybe all of them, did not test that far, this one was rope armbinder. Full body I am suing BHUNP body

That is the point of that feature. :classic_wink:

Yes indeed! But I would like for my follower to be able to help me :) , so I can play the game while bound head to toe and having my follower be the one who picks stuff up~

It's just a suggestion of course. I love the feature either way and it is a toggle!

sorry for beeing annoying, but after months I finally got around to update and improve the DD and DDe integration of my Naked Defeat mod....

I am providing some outfits I made in a json file as seperate download.

Is this the correct folder structure and naming?

SKSE\Plugins\Devious Devices - Equip\Global\MCM\Outfits\Custom Outfits.json

so in the end its just another json file next to the "iDDeOutfits.json"

and do I have to change the json format in some way? add version or something?

this is the outfit list atm:

thx alot for your work!

Oops, I did it again, I played with the folder paths. :classic_blush:

For the next DDe version the path will be,

SKSE\Plugins\Devious Devices - Equip\Global\Outfits\

However, for the current version of DDe your path is correct.

The .json name can be anything you want, but a good nomenclature practice would be to use your mod prefix/abbreviation first followed by a description.

So, instead of 'Custom Outfits.json' a more specific name would be 'NadeOutfits.json'.

FWIW,

Spoiler

For the internal mod prefix, I use @xaz's formatting,

 i - Inte (modder's name first letter); followed by your mod's prefix/abbreviation; D - Devious; D - Devices; e - Equip. -> iDDe

Yes, that's correct.

There is no need for all the 'nulls' in there, or for the names string list, that was the old formatting. No need for a version number either, I use that on my own .jsons in case I need to fetch a specific one.

Here is the revised .json

If you got a message from POP that complained about DDE 5.01, then you must have had POP 5.00 installed.

The important point is to have the correct combination of Inte's mods installed together:

  • SUM 2.00 goes with DDE 5.00 and/or POP 5.00

or

  • SUM 2.01 goes with DDE 5.01 and/or POP 5.01

someone should add that information to ALL install instructions.
hours of desperate fiddling could be saved

Sorry about that.

It may not be visible enough, but Inte lists the compatible versions on the main mod page, and I list them on my SE release notes posts.

no offense - we all should be most grateful  for the work you're doing.

but crawling through those mods, their compatibility, different tweaks, all the abbrevations - common to most of you, but a miracle to some others.. all the unsaid, things that change what even the modders can't keep an eye on.. i understand that's impossible to explain everything..
it seems to me, installing and configuring mods sometimes ist the biggest quest of all - well, it#s the way it is.. - ;D
at least i found out, vortext being nearly sufficient for most things...

call me dumb or blind - but i still can't find it.

and don't ask how long it took, until i found out that cursed loot is now based on DD5 framework.. just one of the things hidden somewhere at the end of something you don't really expect..  but where are now the MCM-Settings from DDintegration, which i can remember on.. !? :D
yes, I was quite familiar with all those things a year ago, but I made a break and my tries in updating SOME mods lead to a complete mess.

I'd appreciate to have the important informations being present on the place where you download the mod.

I really know the pain you are going through, but no matter how much and how detailed and how well presented information is, it will still be overlooked by enough users to bloat every support thread :)

But well, that is why support threads are there and as long as users forgive us modders the somewhat sarcastic answers sometimes I think we can all live with how complicated the world is, haha.

My mistake. You are right.

I just scrolled through the DDE main mod page Update Log, and I see SUM version requirements for some, but not all, DDE versions.

And in particular, there is no SUM version requirement listed for the current DDE 5.30.1.

Anyway, the basic principle for SUM, DDE, and POP is that the first version number of DDE and POP is = 3 + SUM's first version number, and the second and third version numbers of all three mods must match.

Thus, SUM 2.30.1 must be used with DDE 5.30.1 and / or POP 5.30.1.

Thank you for clarifying - and i know very well: documentation is pain in the ass and can take almost as long as development itsself.
so,  your main emphasis is development.. and that's reasonable.

well.. you can call it my fault, but reading through all update-logs is something i don't do al long as i'm not totally desperate.
end even then you tend to miss out on the important points.

keep up and i'll try not to hesitate, and just ask here. maybe that helps you better than everything else ;)

Thanks for understanding, but I don't want folks to get the wrong impression about my contribution.

I feel that I need to clarify @Inte is the author of SUM, DDE, and POP. I just provide Skyrim SE conversions and help out with support questions where I can.

that "your" was meant as a plural. it's impressive anyways that you're doing all that work for us - no matter what you do
