Crota Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Love this mod a lot. Any chance of adding the restrictive items to each set as well (gloves, boots, Collar)? I really like their design and some of the base colors don't work well with these sets.

I have not tested DDE 5.00 SE with DD 4.3 but it probably works okay. DDE 5.00 SE requires SUM 2.00 SE. 2

After being in heavy bondage for a while, I can't interact with any objects anymore. I can't open doors, chests, pick up items or ragdoll. The crosshair text is : "[E] Can't Do That", and judjing by the wording that is definitely not something from vanilla. I can still fight and talk to NPCs. I've asked around in LL and multiple ppl said it's a feature from DDe and I found them in MCM (which is weird because those options are set to default as I haven't touched them, but the restrictions in MCM doesn't seem to correlate to what I'm encountering in-game). I've tried everything: removing all those restrictions, removing the devices in debug, reset, disable. uninstall DDe and it's still there. In the screenshot I'm not even wearing anything (at all). Mainly I'm asking whether the "[E] Can't Do That" is something from DDe's codes.

With DDE installed: You see those messages when you are wearing a heavy bondage device from DDE. You do not see those messages when you are wearing a heavy bondage device from another mod such as Devious Devices. You simply cannot interact with the object. I just tested this behavior with DDE 5.00 SE, and it worked as expected. I equipped a heavy bondage device from Devious Devices and I was not able to interact with objects. I removed that device and equipped a heavy bondage device from DDE. While wearing the DDE heavy bondage device, I got those messages like in your screenshot. After I removed the DDE heavy bondage device, then I was able to interact with objects again. Sorry, I do not have an explanation for what is going wrong in your game.

So, the 'error' part is that I'm still stuck in these 'restrictions', even after removing all those devices, yeah? Would a load order be able to help? It's no big deal now, because I already moved on with an older save, but I'd appreciate if you would quickly glance at my load order in this thread: The problem may be that once the PC is in bondage, NPCs just keep adding more and more to the point that I don't even know anymore which mod any of them come from, so I have no idea which piece of the bondage caused those restrictions in the first place (I was in a heavy bondage for sure, though). And as I said, the default settings for the DDe restrictions don't correlate to the restrictions I actually got in-game: going by the settings in MCM I should still be able to open doors (that's the option with the risk warning), but can't fight -- I got the opposite of both of that in game, for example.

I believe it still works though. That is odd. I tested DDE 5.00 SE with SUM 2.01 SE and did not see that behavior.

I just tested all the Dwemer and Inox Mech Suit items in Skyrim SE with DDE 5.01 SE, and I did not see this problem. All the Mech Suit items look okay when equipped on my player character; however, no inventory items appear for me for the Mech Suit gags or the Mech Suit masks without the tall prongs. The red diamond with white exclamation mark typically means a missing mesh or a mesh that doesn't match the game (LE versus SE).

It's true, they do not come with a ground/world object so I'm using the actual armor object for the inventory view*, which sits up in the air. To be able to see it you'll have to zoom in into the inventory view window. * - Because of this, they do not appear in the world, so I delete them when dropped from the inventory. I could have used an existing ground object like a lexicon cube (which would have made dropping possible), but I thought that being able to examine the actual armor object in the inventory would be preferable.

majormagers Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 A few questions If we are using the latest DD 5.1, do we need the CD patch? It seems to be overwriting a couple of files to do with CD inside DD. "iDDeCDxUtil.pex" I find that sometimes I cant remove devices without removing a ghost device placed by DD first with console commands. Could this be due to DDe overwriting DD scripts? Should I have DD overwrite DDe? It seemed to work once before in a previous build but seems to be an odd thing to do. Finally I see that the posted requirements for DDe are the DDi, DDx, DDa from the past. Is the new DD even an ok mod to use?

The Captured Dreams patch has nothing to do with Devious Devices 5.1 (DD 5.1). I had SLIF installed still and it has an old version of the zadlib.pex script in it. very much incompatible with anything new. breaks bondage behavior and unbinding is prevented.
