Talk about the other projects you're more interested in, i'm really curious. I agree this game is old, still nostalgic but old, are you planning on working on a newer game or something?

 

Also what are the requests you got that you want to finish? was one of them being able to lay down, on a blanket and under the stars, and cuddle with your followers? that'd be a nice change of pace now and again and immersive. it could even warm you up through frostfall maybe if it's possible or keep you from getting colder.

I read on your tumblr something about arousal and orgasm implementation so is it still actual goal?


 

 

Due to my pretty regular disappearances I'm prioritization any loose ends that are still around, the requests are pretty much all features that people developing for OSA like Jerrok and Morra asked for to finish their OSA modules (Dance for Jerrok and some enahnced features for the OSA single animation play menu.)

 

I think overall OSA has enough features right now to do a ton for anyone interested in doing things like OSex. In it's current state I'm happy with it as it's accomplished all of it's goals as an engine I'd say. The features are primarily oversights I made focusing myself only on Sex where other subject matter needs some special considerations. There's some bugs still to tie up also and I'm not going to do anything else system related until what's in now is perfect.

 

The two of these questions go hand in hand, I mentioned post sex cuddles so that an orgasm would lead to organic scenes that made sense. That was my delay with orgasms cause I wanted it to be a full experience and not just having the orgasm be the end where the characters pop back up and walk around Skyrim. Cum clean up, cuddles, reactions etc. I have 4 orgasm animations which isn't in context to all OSex's anims but still something, I'm hesitant to open up OSA to put in a mini orgasm system when t could be a lot more. 

 

If I have time to futher expand the engine the next thing I would do is return the arousal system that 1.06 had. It would be quick and have a big impact.

For animations, just polish and make transitions, there's so much unfinished, especially connectors. i'll see if I can get "unicorn" public in the meantime and restore the ass eating animations that people liked. Would like to add to special animations to change the pace up maybe, I promised over a year ago I'd make some vampire bites from kisses so I might do one or two for fun, changing the pace up a little might help me stay engaged. 

 

I totally forgot to mention these but I had a feeling like I abandoned a big part of my original fanbase who were interested in kissing and hugging because it's been quite a long time since we got new hugs and kisses.  I like doing  them and having them very much myself. There's new kisses and hugs coming in 2.0, a few of the laying down positions get some, Noble (The standing prince charming lifted scene) has one also now.

If you're well on the way to "Other" venues for the animations and "architecture", there's nothing wrong with making this a sub project with irregular updates; it's your project and it becomes more work than fun, changes in flow should be made.

 

The Miyamoto principle is pretty universal; better late than half assed.

Thanks 27 I think you're right on and that's accurate of where I'm at.

 

I do want to make a 2.0 OSA that I'm confident is resolved in terms of bugs or loose ends I might have left. Not as a final but more so something that can stay and be what it is for x amount of time so I can get around to things on my own time knowing what's in place is all set.  I would definitely say the timeline certainly has changed and become vaguer on updates.

Unfortunately, you are right about Skyrim holding back. Sexlab is too much of a established framework here, and the resources devoted to Skyrim modding (enthusiasm, creativity, players, modder) are getting thinner and thinner (although I believe won't completely fade away for a long long time).

Looking forward for you movie.
And if the idea is, in the long run, to create an independent Osex interactive sex/flirting app, I really think you could hit the jackpot with that.

wow CEO is alive...I thought the numerous terrorist attacks that happened this year has finally got him/her/it...

 

So since you've mentioned that Skyrim's old and buggy engine is what's letting you down and keeping you from "finishing" OSEX and maybe OSA as a whole,  I guess it's safe to say that you wouldn't put any more upgrades into the current version now...well, as long as you add in the final animations and iron out the bugs it's all good...really wish for more functionality like tracking arousal and all that lik SL does but whatever OSEX does, it does well...sadly (IMHO) it came out when SL is already THE established sex mod for Skyrim...no offense meant...

 

that said, I will still look forward to your projects and maybe see OSA again in an environment where it can give you more freedom and leeway to your epic work without so much limitations that plagued Oldrim...maybe in Fallout 4 (though I do not play it...got sick of it after New Vegas and the hype for 4 isn't justified so much again IMO) or when Elder Scrolls 6 comes out...good luck...

Sounds like things are going well for you. Great to hear.

 

 

I feel I have the ability to make substantial virtual sex that is fresh and could get a lot of interest but Skyrim in many ways holds this project back. It's a very old game and no matter what I generate for it, a majority are tired of it and I can't really use it as a platform to make something meaningful, the huge amount of time this takes feels less and less warranted. Of course that doesn't mean all the support I receive doesn't mean a lot but simply that this project can become something greater and Skyrim isn't helping. Sexlab also has a very hard grasp on all content adult related and beyond that there aren't many adult modders left that I can attract.

 

Your non-Skyrim VR project sounds interesting. Hope to learn more. One thing that Skyrim offers is a large world for mods like this to live in. I do think that the world context adds value. There are many adult mini-games that just focus on sex scenes. But, there's something about it being optional among all kinds of other game-play that adds to the experience. It also allows people to mix-match other mods, characters, scenes, etc. in an unlimited number of ways.

 

All that said, I'm pretty much done with Skyrim also. SE is great. It motivated me to do another play-through with SE mods just because of the stability. But, SKSE64 appears to have stalled. If it ever does come out, it will have community attention for a limited time as FO4 modding improves and the next TES title gets closer.

 

 

Step 1: First thing I want to do is research if I can do an SE port. I haven't looked into it for over a month and last I checked SKSE had a release date for SE earlier in Apirl so I'm going to see if this is at all possible and if so it will be done for sure.

 

Someone from the SKSE team had said that they expected a beta to be ready mid-March. Didn't happen. A different team member apologized for the delay and basically said that nothing had been worked on at all. The person who had set the mid-March expectation has yet to make an appearance since. Read more of the drama here.

 

So, not looking very good for SKSE64.

 

On the other hand, there has been recent progress on an extender for Fallout 4.

Given your use of modern outfits, hairstyles, make-up, language, etc., what do you think about modding for Fallout 4? Seems like your style would fit in well in that world. Adding animations is far easier. Better engine.

 

There are still some things to sort out like an SOS equivalent. But, I think we might be close now that there is a framework started and F4SE apparently around the corner.

 

I am THINKING about releasing a new Fallout 4 framework myself. It would accommodate transition animations similar to 0S. But, would be different in some ways too, using "micro animations". Multiple animations for one "act" that can loop and interchange seamlessly. For example, 5 doggystyle loops. 4 of them are slight variations on a basic "thrust" motion while the 5th is a spank. The engine would randomly (or with some emotion logic) play these 5 animations. So, it would be more unique, less scripted scenes.

 

I also have some ideas for things outside of the sex scenes to tie the mod back to the game (in an unscripted, dynamic way). Various relationship states. Creating randomized life events for NPCs (ie. one character in a town is your friend, while you are away, they are captured by raiders, you hear the news and can then go find, save them). Etc.

 

Sound like a project you might be interested in helping with?

1.09 is a beta versin, and it doesn't have some features that 1.08(which is a more stable version) had. So, no facial expressions and no sounds are totally normal because there are no facial expressions and sounds in that version. :D I have tested the 1.09 myself, its the same for me too.

 

Better to wait for OSA-Osex 2.0. 

I'm glad CEO is relasing a one last stable version before he leaves.

Welcome back \o/ :D

 

Along with 2.0, might I ask if you could take a look over your tutorials for creating things for OS/OSEX? I only ask because I have no knowledge of the CK and its magic nor of animating, but have read your tutorials a bunch of times with much confusion so I'd be grateful if you could look over them to see if you can add/change them in any way now that you've become more advanced as a modder.

 

Of course, real life and what you really want to do comes first, though.

Thanks guys, even if I claim Skyrim is to dead to invest major time for I certainly have a lot of active supporters of this project!

 

RE: My Modding + Anim Guides

 

I see that some of my images got messed up where I host them. I'll see about repairing them. The guides themselves should be pretty up to date still but when I have time I'll take a look over them to see if after the last year I learned anything new. The guides are something I'm proud of and want to keep up I hope having all that information i place helps people. I'm sorry they got broke a little bit but it's nice to know people are using them!

 

At a glance a majority of the guide content seems still as I do it. I'll put some quick notes here int he meantime until i have time to redo the guides

 

NPC GUIDE:

I did a playthrough of SE and remade my followers there so revamped my process to make a cleaner esp for myself

For the npc guide: I changed the process slightly where I don't bother to link up texture files in creationkit except for the body, it's fine to do it the way I wrote, but, Texture paths are stored in the head mesh .nif that gets generated in the FACEGEN folder so the eyes, brows, face textures don't actually need TEXTURE forms for them in the CK since they have to be manually set in nifskope anyways in the head.nif.

 

ANIMATION GUIDE

The only major change that I do now is animate in Max2016. Basically when I started it  I open my 2012 rig file in Max 2016 and began working on it but once you save in 2016 you can't open the file back in 2012.

 

1. When I finish animating to a point where I want to export to see it in Skyrim I select all the Rig Controllers go to Max menu at the top ANIMATE > Save Animation (Maybe export animation). 

 

2. In max 2012 I select all rig bones and then ANIMATE > Load animation. The animation loads then I do the normal export process

 

2016 has much smoother play back when previewing, especially if there are 2+ actors  (Plus it's a little sleeker looking). The controls are identical so no relearning. Max 2016 is free for students.

 

My Workflow for MAX 2016/2012:

 

When working I keep 1 Max2016 open and 2 Max2012s opened at the same time.

 

~2016 holds the full scene I'm currently animating

~A 2012 is open for each gender + rig. One for the male and one for the female

 

~ I keep CommandPrompt thing up so I can just hit dpad up + enter and convert the exported xml to Skyrim hkx.

~ I keep Skyrim running in the background usually while I'm animating. I put my characters in a black empty room with nice lighting and start up OSex so they are mid scene.

 

When it's export time:

~ Load the animations from 2016 to 2012 (I'm tweaking either just male or just female one at a time so usually I just do this to one of the 2012s.)

~ Export with Havok Tools > In commandPrompt: Dpadup + enter

~ Drag and drop  to overwrite the animation file

~ Alt tab into Skyrim and in OSex move my characters to a different speed or animation then return them back. The animation is refreshed and I can see the changes.

 

I feel this process helps a lot to very quickly see what you did in Skyrim, especially when doing things with hands, cocks, body contact, kissing where you can't see really how things are lining up in Max. About 10-15 seconds to go from animating to seeing it in Skyrim.

 

Hand Placement:

 

Pornphile showed me a trick to UNLINK  the hands from the rig but I wasn't able to apply this before because I kept all my animations in a single file. If I unlinked them then that link would have been broken in all scenes including the one's I wanted it in. In the new process where I animate in separate files and export from another this works very good. For example in doggy style where the Female actor has 2 hands on the ground. Instead of messing around lining them up in every place that the COM controller moves by copying their position rotation I do this:

 

i just roughly shove the hands into place so they aren't very distracting by swinging wildly around. I don't spend much time on them but I do put them exactly where I want them in the 0 and end frame.

 

When I get them into my 2012 exporter file I click the 2 hand controllers and then click the UNLINK button at the 3DMax menu buttons at the top. This makes the hands stay exactly in place, then I export. If the body is moving too far away it will lift the hands off the ground if the body can't reach.

RE: Animations

 

That list is what's complete right now in my draft and will be available in 2.0 but that's all 2.0 will get (Including the kisses I forgot to mention)

 

Animation progress will be the same goal as OSA. I'm going to only be cleaning up the current animations and will not be taking on new things until everything close or already in OSex is completed. This is mainly transition clean up for all the sections I got lazy on. If there are other new animations added before then it will have to be a very special request / inspiration and a small thing like a single animation and not a whole suite of them.

 

So no getting hopes up but I'll talk about your suggestions:

 

i would love to animate Anal Sex and Persona is built with it in mind and could make anal sex really expressive in how the actors are looking and sounding.  The arousal upgrade I mentioned has mostly been in OSA since the beginning of 1.07 I just don't have a means to adjust the arousal of the actors up and down yet. I did give it the power to track stats around anal sex also so if I am going to make an anal sex animation it would be a single doggystyle one to start to simply test the Persona system to make sure the actors really look and sound like they are getting fucked in the ass at various intensities.  This might happen actually if I do the arousal upgrade I mentioned last post because it's a good way to test the system.

 

Orgasms are super important, I have a couple animated but I need a system in place and the system will be fairly time consuming. I wouldn't expect it in the near future and might not come to be but if the plate ever does get clean and i'm looking for something to do in OSex it's most likely the top priority.

 

Potentially a release of UNICORN which I've been showing images of forever but haven't released yet, and the very small plugin OConquerer which is non-consensualish entry scenes (relatively tame though) it's purpose is if a papyrus developer or player is beginning OSex with an actor that is hostile or some non-consensual setting that there is a slight tone of resisting as opposed to going into the standing embrace scene and cuddling. It's just 3~ animations that can be triggered optionally that send you into the normal OSex web after they play (Leaving you off in doggystyle). Caveman throw em over your shoulder kind of thing. 

 

Until the above are public however and complete there most likely will not be anything else outside of some small things for fun or to change the pace.

Semi-related I will give out all the special animations I made for the movie. They aren't sex related just poses I used for specific scenes where I needed the characters to be doing stuff, a lot of cell phone browsing poses, 3 motorcycle magazine cover babe poses. Very small poser pack of stuff I generated basically.

Glad to see CEO back and OSA/OSex not beeing abandoned, with a V2.0 possibly on the horizon. :)

 

Thus far I got quite a good working setup (1.085) with Bounce & Jiggles HDT and Enhanced Camera (tweaked INI), giving me also a 1st person camera POV of most scenes, which is quite pleasing. HDT adds a whole lot of flavor to most the scenes, but unfortunately I can´t get any of the available HDT hairs working for NPC´s as well. Any hints from CEO or community members, how to combine B & J HDT with HDT hairs? In one of the GIF´s I´ve seen is a HDT Ponytail Hair, so it seems at least it´s possible.

 

There´s a whole lot of sounds that are either unused, or have problems syncing with some the animation cycles, so I started to investigate if I could improve something for the purpose. Thus far I converted all sounds to 16Bit-44KHz Mono and plan to convert them to unified Fuz format to achieve a somewhat better syncing. It also seems that a Stereo Sound Output Model (instead of HRTF) gives a somewhat better sound panning particularly in 1st person cam view, but I´m yet in the midst of testing and don´t really know if it´s rather a waste of time. Any hints?

 

 

No problem assigning profile XML files to NPC´s using the templates, but I´m still wondering how to access the Persona OGal and OGuy classes and assign them like Profile to NPC´s to individualize behaviors and reactions. My guess would be to add a new class and add entries to the NPC´s Apersona.xml file, as well as oForm.oform/oIdentity.oiden, to get new data recognized by the engine. Is that the path to go, or is there some more elaborate instructions available to create multiple Persona to various NPC?
