Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 You know GECK isn't going to be released until 2016? You might want to wait a little while longer.
Guest Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 You know GECK isn't going to be released until 2016? You might want to wait a little while longer. Nooooooooooo !!!!! ah well there's other games coming out that i want, luckily I've learnt to be patient rather than jump on the hype train
banshe Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Voiced protagonist ? given Skyrim's poor NPC voices (one voice for them all ) i am worried that this will kill replay value and be poorly implemented, the other thing i guess is change. If the game was released say 4 years after FO3 rather than 7 then smaller changes would have been easier to get used too,it just seems like they've taken alot out and put little back eg.the power armor looks ridiculous and cheesy,in F03 you could just put it on, now you have to get into it (i hate movie cut scenes thrown into game play ) of course i won't know for sure until i see the game released and some decent gameplay (from gamers). Also the whole modding on the Xbox/PC has the potential to lead to censorship due to the age group, again i'll be waiting at least a month after release to see if it's worth buying. When it comes down to it i'm not in the target group this game seems to be aiming at I for one love the change to power armors, how it feels like its a 'human tank' rather than something you carry in an invisible backpack. Also, in the spirit of this community's interest, has anyone considered -Eyebrow waggle- Living suits? Something to think about!

Kendo 2 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Power armor is now like a mini-mech, and that's just awesome. Quakecon in 10 days, that means more game footage. \o/ woohoo! \o/

Something like that, yeah, though if made to make use of the power armor mechanics it might need to be something 'bulky and tanky', and not as subtle as 'clothing', otherwise it wouldn't make much sense!

(edited image to remove link since links hate me for some bizarre reason.)~edit image links hate me so lets see if attachments work

Oh, neat. If you're angling more on the power armor part, the only two inspirations that come to mind are Guyver and Evangelion.
Chaos63 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 The image won't display for me. Me neither. You have to click and drag it into the tab.
Kendo 2 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Me neither. You have to click and drag it into the tab. Doesn't work for me. All I get is a continuous spooling load.

Your image isn't working says "403 Forbidden". yeah you know for some bizarre reason i put in this image and it worked. until i refreshed the page, then i tried clearing cookies etc etc still nothing so i edited the post with a new image link from a different site and it worked, until i refreshed the page, then i gave up. i think i'll just attach it since image links hate me. i must be doing something wrong( though its as simple as copying the image url so i don't see how). image attached to old post if that doesn't work then i claim the bad luck clause. also i apologize for the inconvenience first time linking an image via link not much of a talker so still learning forum codes and stuff. Oh, neat. If you're angling more on the power armor part, the only two inspirations that come to mind are Guyver and Evangelion. i think i speak for everyone when it comes to sex powered armor when i say 'plug' suits. horrible pun, but im sticking with it despite the fact that it is clearly obvious and awful. though that does bring to mind of getting into power armor, and then getting into a mech suit while wearing the power armor. though im not sure any creature we will face will need so much firepower, then again we do have the fatman.
Kendo 2 Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 nsfw I'm all for your suggestion after seeing the image. I started working on a kinky set of tesla armor but I never finished it. nsfw The sex-driven power armor idea might have new life for FO4. though im not sure any creature we will face will need so much firepower FO3 DLC Ghoul Reavers. Bullet sponges and immune to everything. Once I saw one kill a Deathclaw in hth combat. Bethesda has a bad habit of adding overpowered creatures like those, or the revamped vampires in Dawnguard.

DoctaSax Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I like how there's no real menumode anymore. I think that'll prove to be very handy for UI modding.
BruceWayne Posted July 17, 2015 Author Posted July 17, 2015 Indeed. The dialog system looks pretty neat as well, since it seems to have different angles in third person. I also really liked the gun-play they showed in the new trailer. It seems to have actual "weight" this time around. Hit reaction in Fallout 3/NV was pretty underwhelming. Having a few guys from id around, seems to pay off.
Kendo 2 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 The Deathclaw has evasive moves to avoid the minigun bullet spray. Gonna make them a lot harder to kill if they are not just running in straight lines.

Gonna make them a lot harder to kill if they are not just running in straight lines. if the deathclaw has evasive movement, that brings to mind more fluid animations. i'm not a modder so i can't say if this is good or bad but in my uninformed and baseless opinion. more fluid animations sounds amazing.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Well, look how the feral ghoul take impact on bullets. It seems creatures/beasts/human fiends don't just run at you taking shots until they get a cripple limb. I hope it's not very stupid where you shoot an arrow and a drauger or enemy in general dodge it as if they can actually see the arrow coming at them in bullet time. /smh

Sneak up behind a bandit and watch him dodge an arrow that he can't see coming, shot by a person he doesn't know is there. I've even had mud carbs suddenly go into warp factor 9 sideways when I shoot at them, only to resume their qsueaky slow crawl forward afterwards. I hope that's one combat AI feature FO4 doesn't have.
