Gameplay vs. Roleplay.  You may not see a lot of gameplay potential but for those of us who really like to roleplay there is a lot of fun to be had with some of my ideas.  The purpose of a lot of mods is to increase and enhance your roleplaying experience.  That's sort of the point of a lot of the mods you see on this site.

 

If you come at me with a "i'm a roooleplaaaayea you can't understand my groove" elitist attitude i'll get angry and write pages. Because it's full-on crap, arrogant, and insulting.

 

Your stuff is not roleplay. Furthermore, it's not needed at all to roleplay.

Sh*t man "a crazy naked slut with cheat-level powers", that's so roleplay.

What you're calling "roleplay" here is not actual gaming roleplay, it's real life make believe roleplay, or eventually theatrical roleplay.  It's a game. Roleplay cannot be distinct from gameplay.

Holy frack it's a GAME. Gameplay is essential. If you want a machinima or an interactive novel, ask for/make one.

And don't let me speak about the blatant disregard for the lore - that's a part of roleplay, right ?

 

 

 

A mod that adds lots of sex slaves around Skyrim?  What do they do other than stand around and look sexy?  Nothing?  Than they serve no gameplay purpose.  But they do serve plenty of roleplaying purposes.

Immersion.

Yours don't. Actually they are apart from the whole game and universe, that's the contrary to immersion.

Like many of the bdsm mods here.

Yeah that's toweringly immersive. And roleplay-y. "I can go around and insta-auto-teleporta-slave people". Incredible.

It doesn't. It does if it's a little immersive detail in a whole. In itself, it's not even noticeable.

And it's way not enough to do a mod. Would you describe everything else in as much details ?

 

It's also lackluster narrative. What's the point to seal people somewhere in a first person action if you can't see them sealed ? There's no consequence. It's a pretty idea on paper, and eventually, on top of something else, bigger. Not in itself.

What do we have here ? Abstractly sealed people in a mine and a money counter going up ?

In what effect does it actually gives you the impression of sealing someone ? Because the npcs won't escape this way ? They won't, bridge or not. They need to actively try to escape and emit despair to give you this. That's a whole lot more work you've not considered than just putting a lever and a bridge.

 

 

 

And I think most of my ideas are about as lore-friendly as a lot of the other mods on this site or on Nexus.

The thing is you are defending your own lore-friendliness and superior roleplaying.

You're all saying that you don't want the mods that are 99% what you ask for because they're not good enough, then reckon that yours are not up to the good level.

See the point ?

It's weird you've gone through the list many times without seeing the many, many mods that have elements you're looking for.

 

 

And let me just ask, do any of them actually let you create your own prisoners and slaves?

Yup.

I'll try Arousal again sometime but I swear I kept having my character and random NPCs starting to have sex when I had it active and only it active.

 

And I swear it's not Arousal alone doing it.

Arousal doesn't do what you describe. Full stop.

 

You know it's somewhat weird to keep saying people are wrong and still not read the description.

 

Are you sure you're up to date with your loverslab plugins list ? You may have missed a sneaky one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

From my heart i'd also add: do you people (that's not directed only at you, son) ever thought about the hassle/replayability ratio of your demands ?!

I would feel ashamed to ask someone to work even a couple hours on a mod that has a 5 second duration and zero replayability.

Maybe you need to be from within to understand this etiquette, i don't know, but damnit, think of it ! It's common courtesy !

Evidently I've hit a sore spot with you, Alploochra.  Several, from the looks of it. 

 

But my purpose here is not to argue.  I simply came here to share some mod ideas.  They may very well be similar to exisiting mods.  If there are already mods that perform the tasks I would like and I somehow missed them, I will look again.  But if someone would do me the kindness of providing the accurate name of the mod or even a link to it, I would greatly appreciate it.  I would certainly do the same for any of you should the roles be reversed and it is far easier and more satisfying than throwing insults. 

 

It's entirely possible I had another mod active at the same time as Arousal that interacted with it in a way I did not expect.  I was simply stating what I had perceived.  If the fault is mine, then I will admit that.  Either way I will investigate and experiment further. 

 

Alploochra, an argument at this stage ultimately gains us nothing.  I believe it is time to simply agree to disagree and move on before things turn even more sour.  I wish you good day sir and happy gaming.

Small request here. I made a drool texture to add to the devious devices gags, but can't get it into the game correctly. Would you be able to help with that?

 

Maybe? It depends on how it's set up. I could definitely give some advice but I'm not entirely sure how I'd do it off hand. Definitely a magic effect... Alternatively, ZAZ included some drool textures in the last update that I think you can apply through the slots in it's MCM or through Slavetats. 

 

I'd ask in the technical support thread too, someone will point you in the right direction.

Thank you very much for that list.  Some of those mods I already have an use like slut Shout, Matchmaker and Mind Control.  Paradise Halls I've tried before but had trouble getting it working right.  Kept getting CTDs.  Of course I have cleaned out my mods and started fresh since then so maybe there was a mod conflict I was unaware of.  I'll try again. 

 

Are you referring to the Halo Poser in that last sentence?  Or another mod because Halo makes NPCs pose for a long time but not indefinitely.  If there is one that makes them pose indefinitely, I would like to know what it is too.

I think he meant "I'll Take the Display Model", which is kinda like less immersive Puppet Master with many, many more options for tying people up in various ZAZ poses and furniture but no real interaction with them beyond that.

I had three suggestions to add, but forgot one and realized you'd probably avoid making the other (Private Needs addon...), so here's the third one.

 

SexLab Willpower

(yet another) framework for mods to combine with Arousal. Basically, Willpower starts at 10000 and is separated into 5 tiers (20% each): Unwavering, Steadfast, Impressionable, Weak, Submissive. Willpower decreases as 'things' happen to the PC and regenerates over time/mod events. If Willpower hits 0, the PC enters the 'Broken' state (preventing regen for a longer period of time). The MCM should allow the player to select an initial profile for their character - things like 'Increased max Will, lower regen', 'High regen, takes bonus Will damage'.

 

Ideally, other mods could be written to take advantage of the change in tiers - for example, negative effects could happen when transitioning down a tier, with more powerful effects and higher chances at lower tiers.

 

An example mod might give a simple concentration spell to random hostile humanoids that lowers Will per hit and has various effects on tier transition, possibly including: equipping Devious Device(s), forcing a surrender from SexLab Defeat (or Cursed Loot).

 

 

I also have a fairly large idea for bringing the Chain Beasts mod into Skyrim, but it would require a TON of modeling and texture work, so not something I think you'd take on without some serious help, and I'm not able to be that help (yet... maybe if I get some more free time).

I can neither confirm nor deny the rumors spread by a user going by the nickname "The Human Shitpost" that a (surprisingly, like almost exactly) similar system will be appearing in a current project of mine.  ;)

 

Also, if i could find a few people to do animations, textures, etc for chainbeasts I would be 100% on the ball for that.

Then have this magic effect be a constant effect that either does nothing or modifies a skill by a factor of 1. Then set the shader to the drool you want. Should work there. Not completely sure how it's gonna handle body vs head textures though.

 

Look forward to seeing what you pull off, once you get it working, drool texture on the chest too would be a neat addition, it's gotta go somewhere right?

Ok, so the gags already have a script attached to them to trigger the devious effects. I assume it should be possible to modify that script to add the drool effect? What would modifying the skill by a factor of 1 be used for? And what is the Papyrus code for adding a shader? It would go under the OnEquip function, wouldn't it?

Here’s an idea for a fun non-adult mod. 

 

I have checked to see if such a mod exists.  I have not found one.  One that works, anyway.

 

 

This idea involves the Wabbajack.  The various effects the Wabbajack can produce are fun and comical.  Unfortunately the randomness of the staff makes it an unreliable weapon and some effects have such a low chance of happening that some I’ve never seen personally. 

 

I’ve seen mods that let you use the Weabbajack’s power as an ordinary spell.  However I have not seen any mods that let you cast specific effects whenever you want.  There are three in particular I wish I could do on command.  One is the ability to turn anyone into a chicken, rabbit or mudcrab.  Another is to turn people into sweet rolls or a bottle of wine.  And the last is to turn them into a shower of gold coins.  Individual spells that can let you do these things would be fantastic.  Plus any other unique Wabbajack effects you may want. 

 

I know these spells are pretty much one-hit-kill spells but there is some fun to be had when you just feel like messing around. 

 

Imagine an assassin attacks you on the road.  You can turn this living weapon into a harmless chicken.  Then you can make fried chicken. 

 

A thief runs up to you and tries to rob you of all your gold and possessions.  A bit of poetic justice to turn them into a pile of gold coins. 

 

Even better, a guard mocks you about your sweet roll being stolen.  Well…  *munch, munch, munch*

 

I actually found a mod that automatically turns any guard who says that “sweet roll” line into a sweet roll, even one that kills any guard with a lightning bolt who says the “arrow in the knee” line.  However guard dialogue is random and I don’t know if there is a way to prompt a guard to say either of those lines on command.

Something I also posted in another thread somewhere around here, but basically, what I'd *really* like, is a mod that:

 

-Allows me to set my houses/estates as "open to visitors", similar to what happens in the Bathing Beauties Luxury Suite.

-Somewhere between 2 and 5 visitors at a time (could be a configuration setting), who'd hang out for maybe a day and then return to their usual location in Skyrim. Quick and dirty method would be to just spawn a clone of the NPC, but moving the actual NPCs themselves would probably be more interresting.

-Only friendly NPCs perhaps? (could also be a configuration setting)

-Usable on all vanilla homes AND the Hearthfire homes, if possible, on multiple homes at once.

-Ideally, also usable on houses from mods (Personally, I'm thinking of Lazz's Ayleid Sanctuary) and other locations like the Thieves Guild or the College of Winterhold, maybe through the use of some spell similar to "Bless Home" from the multiple adoption addon.

 

Additional configuration suggestions:

-Visitors have access to all seperate interior cells connected to the location (optional)

-Visitors have access to the exterior cell directly linked to the interior cell of the location (also optional, since some locations are in dangerous areas, which could result in untimely deaths, while there are also mods that have exits all over Skyrim, which could make things inconvenient and cause visitors to never be at your place, but on the other side of the map)

A while back, I found a mod on nexus called Mthralling. It's a quest type mod in which you ultimately either become a vampire thrall or if you're a vampire character, you kinda take over the world etc etc. One cool mechanic in the mod is that in the early stages you get tricked and turned into vampire cattle. Friendly vampires will feed on your character when hungry, and you get progressively dumber over time. For me the forced feeding was great for RP purposes when playing a submissive character. Id like to see a simple mod which would cause that to happen. Apparently it's implemented in Bloodthirst but feeding on the PC happens so rarely as to be almost non-existent.  Most of the vampire mods I've seen thus far are focused on the PC as a vampire so id like to see that turned around.  ;)

I was playing the other day and realized there was a really nice mod in a previous TES game that I miss. I looked around briefly and didn't find anything like it currently. (If someone knows of a similar mod, do please inform me.) It was simple in purpose and allowed one to squeeze out a bit more graphic performance out of the gfx card, and it was even more helpful on older computers or when you tended to have lots of high quality graphics on actor skins and clothing. What it did was to dynamically adjust your fade levels based on your FPS.

 

In other words, for example, you could tell it to max out your fade settings for actors or grass, objects so long as FPS > 30. When you went out into the largely empty wilds, you would be able to see occasional bandits and deer that were far away. Then, if you went into a city where there are lots and lots of actors around and they dragged your FPS down, it would automatically kick in and start reducing your fade distance to keep your game from stuttering until you reached the desired minimum FPS.

 

that does sound really cool but I have no idea how I'd do it in Skyrim. That sounds like it's an external bit there. We'll see.

 

If you were still interested, I'm pretty sure this here is that Oblivion mod, or a continuation of it. It checked to see if you were in combat (not FPS as I had thought to have remembered - perhaps there was another variation. Skyrim no longer has built in support to check FPS anyway), and dropped your visuals based on that.

 

The Combat FPS Optimizer changes the graphic settings dynamically when you start or end combat

and depending on you position (outside / inside / town)

It reduces the amount of grass and the details for shadows, trees, objects, and items (as well

as the maximal view distance - this was removed in version 0.9. it caused problems with the fog underwater, fixed and readded in version 1.0).

To use this mod you need the Oblivion Script Extender V0008 or higher.

 

The changes of the settings will not be set immediatly when a fight starts. It can take up to 10 seconds.

This was done to not warn players too early that an enemy is approaching.

 

That being said, there is apparently an SKSE plugin to grab the FPS and memory usage from within Skyrim, though I'm not sure how that would effect performance, or if there is a simpler method. Perhaps sliders for various conditions, such as being in combat, indoors or in cities.

A mod of her how? You've asked twice but not given any actual details, those are needed if you actually want something to happen.

 

Please don't be quite so bashful, go ahead and state what you'd like to see. You may have an idea that will be of interest to many others.
